What's with the machete attacks? It's getting ridiculous. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5609593/One-machete-attack-90-minutes-UK-streets.html Machete attack breaks out in movie theater showing Frozen 2. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/families-left-shocked-after-frozen-2-screening-ends-in-machete-brawl/ar-BBXquwA?ocid=spartandhp

I know. I sometimes see white women in burkas, always with a Muslim man. I always wonder if they converted? What appealed to them about being treated that way? What would make a Western woman join a religion that demonizes women so blatantly and unapologetically? It's a look that screams "Don't look at me! Dont' talk to me! Stay away from me!" and then they're offended when people do.
-
It's the hijabs.
-
You have demonized all men in your posts. Several times you have flat out said, "All men are rapists." Sometimes I seriously wonder about your general comprehension. You seem to argue whatever suits you at the time. Sometimes terrorists are mostly new converts, sometimes terrorists are mostly old-time Muslims. Depends what you need to argue at the time. It just seems desperate to me.

When Christianity began to reform, it did not have the example of the rest of the world to go by. It did not have the plethora of information or the science behind the reasons for changing. Islam has all these advantages and still refuses to reform. Dia says in 2 or 3 generations it might get better. That's a long time. That's a lot of deaths, a lot of killing, a lot of stoning, a lot of hate. Apparently we are just to sit back, suck it up and ignore it in the hopes they eventually "figure it out."
-
Well, the world is being taught a lesson by Islam about that. Charlie Hebdo massacre over a cartoon, Theo Van Gogh assassination for making a movie, Hirsi Ali death fatwa and needs bodyguards because she wrote a book, riots and killings in every country where their religious sensitivities are "offended", etc, etc. Perhaps Dia is just trying to save our lives...... Her advice is to "submit".
-
Bingo.
-
Actually, you have done this quite often.
-
Yes, the desperate re-branding. Thus Islam becomes magically "the religion of peace" and hijabs and burkas are now "symbols of women's empowerment".
-
Yes, that's why I said "Islam in general". I dont' ignore it. Nor do I prevent you or anyone else from talking about it. No one has prevented you from talking about Islam. While it's wonderful that some groups are trying to address misogyny in Islam, the fact is that in all Muslim-majority countries women are treated poorly, killed, beaten and abused. To the extent the law allows in Western countries, Islamic abuse of women continues in Western countries, as well.
-
Not irrelevant, and you know it.
-
Why? Because I agree with sapper. Islam is the worst of the worst. Misogyny in general has been and continues to be dealt with in our society. Daily, I read about efforts to root it out. Yes, we have more improvements to make, but we at least are trying. Islam in general - not trying to root it out. And why should they? They have people like you on their side to defend it and make sure no one talks about it.
-
Do you take precautions to prevent being raped or assaulted by a man? Remember - not all men rape. So why do you do that?
-
Yes, I've noticed you do this a lot. When misogyny in Islam is being discussed, you want to discuss misogyny in Christianity. Anything happening in Islam, you want to quickly change the subject. I'm glad you have also noticed that you do not wish to address the problems in Islam and get quite angry when others do.
-
Some government/world agencies are also keeping track of Islamic terrorism. Apparently they are also Islamophobic. And Muslims who do not agree with the direction the religion is taking are also free to leave the group.
-
And yet, every woman I know takes steps daily to protect themselves from men, knowing that "NOT ALL MEN!!!!" rape. But enough of them do, so that women protecting themselves and being aware at all times, is necessary. It's the same with Islam.

What is wrong or immoral about regulating entry into a country? Your experience would be wrong in my case. I lived in a predominantly Muslim neighbourhood and saw some things first-hand - including the burka covered women who were barely allowed to leave their houses and when they were - got cuffed across the back of their heads as they went to the car. Watched little girls in burkas and headcoverings try to play outside in the hot summer wearing jeans and long sleeve shirts, while little boys played merrily in shorts and t-shirts (and vandalized/trashed everything in sight. When the female property manager got after them, they told her that their father told them they do not have to listen to women.) The little girls don't last long outside in the heat, all covered up. I have an issue with a religion that finds 5 year old girls soooooo sexy, that they believe they need to be covered up at all times. I have worked with Muslims and see them regularly. I have been assaulted by one. I have been screamed at, I have been shoved because I handed some food tickets to a Muslim wife instead of giving them to her 4 year old son. I was near the area and got caught up in the dragnet where the Muslim guy with the ISIS flag in his car ran down pedestrians and stabbed a police officer. I watched in horror while a mob of Muslims on the internet attacked an Israeli girl - telling her how they wanted to kill her and desecrate her corpse. Through working with cult survivors, I came into contact with quite a few Muslims who also wanted to leave their religion but were afraid and needed help. Do you know why they were afraid? Because Islam kills those who leave. Some were afraid because they were gay and feared for their life - there is no tolerance for homosexuals in Islam - Dia is being dishonest in that, and she knows it. I dont' see that Islam is producing quality people, making their lives better or the world a better place. I am not saying this is "ALL" Muslims. But in general - I don't find them to be a happy, peaceful bunch. It's odd to me that people like you and Dia support so strongly a group that does all the above things, AND then join the group in harrassing and abusing, denying and discounting, labeling as Islamophobes and racists - those who have been mistreated by the religion.
-
Or other countries when they are in the midst of their community. In Norway when they tried to get a support group together for gay Muslims, no one came forward. Not one gay Muslim in the entire country. It took years before a couple brave ones came out and they were able to start a group. This is why so many Muslims insist that there are no gay Muslims in Islam.
-
Well, if he genuinely believes that religion doesn't lead otherwise good people into doing bad things, then I see why he objects so strongly to any criticism of Islam. But I dont' see why he DOESN'T"T object to criticism of other religions on the same basis - like Christianity. I dont' know how you can believe that a religion that teaches and enforces misogyny, teaches and enforces hatred of other cultures and certain ones in particular, has explicit instructions to kill, etc - will have absolutely NO EFFECT on people. Yet, he also firmly believes that criticizing Islam WILL affect others and incite to violence. He just does not believe that Muslims can be incited to violence by what they are taught or listen to or hear. For some odd reason.
-
You've put forth this opinion as a fact many times now - that terrorism never has a religious trigger. Why do you insist on it?
-
He said "significant percentage". We can all see that's what he said. We can all see that he is correct. Why do you insist on this lie?

Should Don Cherry Have Been Fired?
Goddess replied to Zeitgeist's topic in Travel, Leisure and Sports
Jacee is sure giving that label a workout! Now, anyone who didn't agree with Don Cherry being fired is a WHITE SUPREMACIST! -
A poll of British Muslims in 2016 showed that 2/3 of them would NOT report terrorist plots if they became aware of them. So if the "vast majority" say they personally would not kill in the name of their religion - most are happy that someone else in Islam is willing to do so. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/659913/two-in-three-British-Muslims-would-NOT-give-police-terror-tip-offs In 2015, the number of Muslims who enlisted in the British army was about 550. Yet the number of British Muslims who joined ISIS was much higher - 850. That does not include the hundreds that have been arrested while trying to leave to join ISIS. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/many-british-muslims-put-islam-first/ That is 38% of British Muslims that will get aggressive if they feel Islam is being threatened, even if it's not. So this claim: ......is a delusional belief. Even if they would not personally murder, as you say - a significant portion support it because Islam has explicit teachings to go forth and kill.

Go back and read - the polls have been posted many times.
