I don't think it's a coincidence that ISIS sends out instructions to individual Muslims to attack people in malls and suddenly there's a whole bunch of machete attacks in malls. I don't think it's a coincidence that ISIS sends out instructions for individual Muslims to drive trucks into crowds and suddenly that's a thing, too. I don't think it's a coincidence that the government, police and military have been targeted. They protect the "infidels."
-
They act like hacking people to death in Western countries has been around for centuries and we're just noticing it now.
-
Yes. To show that machete attacks by Muslims and Muslim gangs are increasing. It's easy if you try - let's go with "Muslim terrorists are just mentally ill people" - that's always a good one. Or maybe he was a disgruntled banana plantation worker? Or she did something to provoke him. Whatever you choose, it's important that the religion not be blamed. It's soooo peeeeaacefuuuulllllll, spreading love & light throughout the world.
-
And you make mine for me - apologists will deny ANYTHING and EVERYTHING going on in Islam. Tell me, the 73 year old woman who was volunteering to deliver meals and got hacked by a Muslim with a machete in Vermont......justify that one now. I'll wait.
-
Based on ONE attack on a soldier, yes that would be silly. That's why I posted many links of many attacks on many soldiers. And you still deny.
-
OK. Let's put that one aside. You don't like that one. Thats fine. What about all the other hacking deaths, the attacks on police and military, the attacks on women? How come machete attacks are suddenly all the rage in London and the rest of the world? Nothing to do with Islam, is that it? Nothing to do with ISIS sending out a call to Muslims to attack with knives and machetes? Is that your stance? All these attacks are "fake news", are they?
-
You dont' believe in Islamic terrorism, so this is no surprise.
-
Yes, apologists for Islamic extremism often use the tack that it has to be "organized" terrorism to count. Because of tougher security measures it's getting more difficult for radicals to commit large acts of terrorism like what was done on 9/11 or the London bombings. For many years now, the focus has been on inciting individuals within Islam to attack using common and easily available methods - driving vehicles into crowds, machete attacks, acid attacks. It's all still terrorism.
-
In addition to the article that stated there's a machete attack every 90 minutes now in the UK? And the many articles already posted outlining machete attacks by Muslims? Machete attacks by Islamics are increasing. Here's why: Strange that you found "nothing". There's been machete attacks in lots of countries - Bangladesh, Belgium, France, UK, Canada, US, Germany, etc. A lot of them are on military or police, but also random attacks on civilians.
-
Ya, I know where you stand on that. If Christians did it, you'd be howling about Islamophobia and racism and inciting to violence and hatred. But when Muslims do it, it's a "harmless prank." Lose some weight maybe?

I don't think which film people were seeing was the important part of that news item.

Frozen 2 is about gang crime? Great!

Should Don Cherry Have Been Fired?

Yes. I'm offended by women and little girls being treated as inanimate objects instead of human beings, I'm offended that they require covering or they can't leave the house. I'm offended by the numbers of women and girls being beaten, killed and maimed for having a hair stick out of said coverings. I'm offended at the numbers of women being imprisoned because of this garment. I'm offended that the belief is that an uncovered woman deserves to be raped or abused. I'm offended by the beliefs and teachings that have given rise to burkas and hijabs. I dont' think the question is "Why is Goddess offended by burkas and hijabs?" The question is "Why are YOU not offended by them?" (Not so much "offended" by them, as just knowing that they are a symbol of a sick and disgusting view of women.) -
Your profile picture indicates which type of Islam you believe in.

I know it because you automatically assume that if YOU are offended, the other person is automatically "wrong". You dont' consider that maybe, perhaps you are offended over nothing and that the problem is you. -
Hello? No one said Islam was driving the figures - that's just your strawman, red herring fallacy to get people to stop discussing Islam. This is what was said: the incidences of Islam using machete attacks in its arsenal of weapons to terrorize is increasing. In every country. You're the only one trying to switch the discussion to "knife crime in general." I fully understand why you and Dia need to deny this.
-
No one said that. Not talking about knife crime. Talking about machete attacks by Islamics on police and military authorities and all the random attacks on innocent people they don't even know. Terrorism. Get it? Is there some reason why you need to deny that Islam is using machetes to random attack now? Google machete attacks and you'll see that every country that took in Islamics, is being subjected to random machete attacks - not from crime, but random attacks on authorities and domestic violence. It's only recently that men in Western countries have begun hacking random people and authority figures to death with machetes on a regular basis. And while I sympathize with Dia's explanation that these people are severely damaged by their experiences in life - many other people are similarly damaged by circumstances in life and do not randomly hack people to death with machetes.
-
I think it's pretty pathetic that your favourite religion is wreaking havoc, death and destruction in every country of the world and you choose to attack the ones who want to discuss the situation.
-
No. It's just the first time machete attacking became a thing in the UK. Machete hacking has become a thing for Islam in a lot of countries in Europe. Now it's happening in Canada, too. Baloney. Women, police authority and military authority, gays have all been targeted. None of them have any association with drugs or robberies. Islam has linked itself with random attacks on civilians and authorities - acid, machetes, vehicles, burning, etc Oh, that makes me feel so much better! Knowing they can improvise killing methods when guns and bombs are unavailable to them in their host countries. (You do realize that van attacks are taking place now all over the world, not just in the UK, right?)

"Offensive" is in the eye of the beholder. People like Jacee assume that if they are offended by something someone else says, then the other person did something wrong. No. Just because YOU are offended, does not mean the other person did anything wrong. Millions of Muslims are offended by any criticism of Islam and are working desperately in every country to make criticism of Islam illegal and punishable. It doesn't make criticism of Islam wrong, nor does it make the ones who criticize religion wrong. You're offended by criticism of your religion? Too bad. Criticism should fall under free speech and should be protected. -
It's both. As the article pointed out, machete attacking started with Islamist fanatics hacking a British soldier to death in broad daylight on a busy street. The same as driving vans into crowds to kill as many as possible started with Islamics.

Maybe it didn't bother you to sacrifice your children's lives on the altar of "No Blood", but it bothered me enough to leave. JW's also have much higher than average rates of depression, which leads to much higher rates of suicide. They also have much higher rates of auto-immune disorders like fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. As you know - even if you are "in" you must not have relationships with "worldly" people - including family. Yes. JW's = dangerous. The rest is your opinion, which is low because I'm a white woman who sees Islam as a dangerous cult and you see it as a force for good in the world and the best religion ever invented and it strokes your ego to support any "brown" people - no matter what they do.
-
I had a lot of bad experiences with both men and women Muslims. I haven't even told all of them here. I have an interest in dangerous cults, because of having been involved in and eventually escaping one.
