Again, remedial reading courses for you would be beneficial. The title of the thread is This Week in Islam. It's to discuss the increasing problems the world is having with Islam. If you want to discuss Christian behaviour from 500-1000 years ago, this is probably not the thread. Denying the problems in Islam and making excuses for them all is fine if that's your stance - but if you post them here, you're going to be challenged. Fewer and fewer people are buying into your "Islam is a religion of peace" rhetoric. We can all see that it clearly is not a peaceful religion. WHY it's not peaceful is what is being discussed here - is it the religion, is it the culture, is it a combination of factors? That's what we're discussing. You can't seem to get past "Islam is sooooo peaceful and tolerant and accomodating and loving - they love everyone - Jews, Christians, animals. Several Muslim reformers that I've qouted here many times have said the same - there is something about the religion of Islam that attracts violence, attracts violent people. To Dia, who believes white people are evil and Muslims innocent victims at all times - if I believe hijabs are harmful and idiotic, I'm automatically lumped in with the few people who would actually rip off a hijab. There have been a few incidents where idiots ripped off hijabs. There also been more than a few hoaxes. Dia just likes to sling as much mud as possible, in the hopes that some of it sticks. Double standard is when you believe racist talk affects other white people, but that racist talk by Muslims and imams doesn't affect other Muslims because they are somehow better people than non-Muslim folks.

What I saw went FAR beyond "graffiti and racist comments." And I have been very clear about not ripping off hijabs. I've said it over and over here - just because a person doesn't agree with hijabs and burkas, a person does not have the right to rip them off or verbally assault a wearer. I have been extremely clear on that. I was one of several people who reported it. The facebook page was taken down because the Muslims were so vicious. I guess I expected at least one Muslim to say, "Hey you guys, this is awful and not what Islam teaches". But not one did that. Why do you think that is.

I've noticed the increase in news articles reporting on police station attacks. Quite a few in Spain, France, several in Indonesia and some in the UK. A quick google search on police station attacks in Europe can provide some info for you, but you will just deny and dismiss them all as fake news and just trying to make Islam look bad and mental illness and but, but , but.....it's the religion of peeeeeeeeaaaaccccceeeee! blah blah blah.....anyways. For people who deny that there is terrorism in the name of Islam and that it's getting worse, there will always be excuses and denials. Attacks on police stations in Europe are becoming more and more common. Attacking police stations - a public authority, for whom there should be a natural respect - tells me there is no respect for that authority.
