  1. It looks like it is official, Doug Ford is now the leader of the Ontario PCs. He had the worst attendance record of any City of Toronto councilor, and the city integrity commissioner found he broke the city council code of conduct in his business dealings with two of customers of Deco labels. The biggest point however will be his past as a drug dealer. According to John Stackhouse, editor of the Globe and Mail which broke the story in 2013, their investigation took 18 months before publication. Reporters were sent back multiple times to corroborate details and further authenticate information provided in previous interviews. More than 100 people were approached. Many refused comment. Many referred to second-hand information about the Fords’ role in the illegal drug trade. The reporters searched only for people with direct knowledge – those who had purchased hashish from Doug Ford, supplied him with hashish or witnessed him possessing large amounts of the drug. Eventually, the reporters located and interviewed 10 people who said they had such knowledge.
  2. How about I take your new Cadillac and give you my broken down Ford in exchange. Don't worry, I will drive you to work. In a month however I will get tired of it and say forget it, we are all equal so you can get to work yourself.
  3. My statement about pumping dirty sludge was in response to the pathetic slagging of eastern Canadians.
  4. Native Canadians do pay taxes, including those who live in first Nation communities. It is only status Indians who live and work on reserve that have tax exemptions, that is a small percentage of native Canadians.
  5. My purpose is to leave the world a better place than when I was born into it.
  6. Your statement was that we all must be good little capitalists and consume to make the world better. Perhaps intelligence would be recognizing that participating in the fake economy is not noble by itself.
  7. How to derail a conversation with a negative.
  8. Is this happening in a smaller community where there are limited specialists, especially in this area of pediatric medicine? The parents certainly should be asking for a more complete explanation of this opinion; are there contraindications, etc.? Certainly there is a level of arrogance among professionals when dealing with the public, but that doesn't mean they don't care and don't have value to share. If Doctor B is the go-to guy in their area, then you might have to work with him or go elsewhere. Doctors rely on each other to discuss cases, especially ones that are highly specialized. The symptoms you described can be associated with a large number of causes. Something you didn't mention is family history, which would be very important in this kind of diagnosis. I agree this is not the forum to discuss that level of detail, just pointing out its medical relevance. I understand the frustration with the medical system, that is fairly wide spread. The only advice I can offer is be as open and honest with doctors you approach, including the fact that you have been to others and disagree with their diagnosis. If you are seeking a second opinion, explain to them why.
  9. Latest news is they are reviewing an “allocation of a certain list of electors”. Sounds like monkey business in the OPC.
  10. They were all native settlements, on prime river or lake front, until we moved them to less accessible sites. Time to return your Sussex Dr. property back to its rightful owners. We an move you to outter Timbuck-too and call you a lazy good for nothing because you can't make a go of it there.
  11. I hear they are still counting ballots, 1300 are being disputed. Yes Ford appears to have won, but I haven't seen an official declaration.
  12. Why would they be independent if they were Liberals as you claim? I am just pointing out that there is only one party affiliated group, and that is the 33 Conservatives. Additionally there are 12 that call themselves Liberals, but have not LPC association. There is a large block that call themselves independent, composed of Senators appointed by both Conservative and Liberal Prime Ministers. There is also a very small non-group of independents, or not-affiliated as they like to call themselves.
  13. Still counting the votes for the Ontario Progressive Conservatives. The scuttlebutt is that Doug Ford won, but there are 1300 ballots in dispute.

      Agreed, but can the OPCs?

Pundits are saying not to underestimate Ford.  He's being compared to Trump: an "anti-establishment."

  14. Wrong, the independent group includes many Conservatives, as I pointed out it started over 80% conservative. The Liberal group is only 12 Senators.
  15. Sure thing, we can return the Bay of Quinte, the Niagara River, the Kitchissippi and Hochelaga to the natives.
  16. Yes, Canada needs to diversify its markets. We need to kick out American companies who do not manufacture in Canada for export to other markets for they are only parasites.
  17. I would suggest filing a complaint with the College of Physicians and Surgeons in the respective province. This sounds like a case of unprofessional conduct according to the description you have given.
  18. Evidence, an article in the Toronto Sun from a single anonymous source is 'evidence'. Wait, let met get my dictionary out.
  19. Then let us hear constructive suggestions --crickets--
  20. yawn Yes, many groups are targeted by hate crimes. Isn't it convenient for you to forget the 6 murdered and 19 injured Muslims last year at a Mosque in Quebec city. Not to discount the hate spread against Jews, but I don't remember that level of carnage. No, he has not, but then you will continue to spread a lie because of willful ignorance. yawn
  21. Who appointed the independent senators? You realize that group was started by 5 Conservative and 1 Liberal Senator.
  22. I see complicity as cooperating on something that is illegal or immoral. If we look at trade specifically I see three cases; You and I agree to the sale of my legally owned car for a specific price, then that is not complicity. You and I agree to the sale of 1kg of cocaine for a specific price, is a weak example of complicity. You and I agree to establish an arrangement for an ongoing exchange of cocaine for money, that is a much stronger example of complicity.
  23. Conservatives have the largest caucus in the Senate by a factor of 3, they are the only caucus associated with a political party.
  24. We have the results of time and time again jury selection by the lawyers gives us a white jury. We allow the lawyers to make their eliminations without disclosing cause.
