  1. Is your native Canadian one of your peers? Except this case proves that 50% of those who were randomly and showed up were native Canadians, yet the lawyers rejected them in lieu of only the white candidates. This happens time and time again in Canadian courts, that is where the racial bias is apparent. The system created the racist division, not the 'someone'.
  2. If all blacks in your neighbourhood are excluded from his trial, especially considering 50% of those randomly selected originally were black, then he would have the same problem. If that happened time, and time, and time, and time, and time, and time again then it is a systemic problem.
  3. The problem is the systematic elimination of first nations representatives on all juries. We no longer have a jury of peers because the system works against them.
  4. Most US goods come into Canada without any tariff. Yes, we know about supply side management in dairy but other than that can you provide examples.
  5. I can't speak for that part of the country, but I do know several small town bars that are quite successful. Perhaps a gay bar would be much less so, but I don't see anything to indicate that was the case here.
  6. The opposite has happened as well, for example Bdelloidia which have abandoned sexual reproduction for asexual reproduction and exchange genes through horizontal gene transfer. *the links for the scientific articles are in the right column on the above link, not sure how to get them directly.
  7. The US corn farmers receive massive government subsidies, and they are the largest farm crop of all for the US. Countries need to start putting large tariffs on all corn and corn products including manufactured junk like soft drinks. Then were will be farmer loving Trump? One thing is true however, the rest of the world will become much healthier overnight, and health care costs will drop dramatically. b.t.w. you always talk about the 75% exports to the US from Canada, well Canada is also the largest US export market and Mexico is second. All others pale in comparison to these two at 35.5% combined. You have massive trade deficit with China, not your North American partners. Canada - 18.1% Mexico - 17.4% China - 7.8% Japan - 4.5% United Kingdom - 3.8%
  8. You are right that the rich white lawyers and consultants and their shareholders do manage to get a large chuck of money, as they do in many other circumstances. That is a problem with white European business culture, not the North American aboriginals. Perhaps the Europeans should return to their homeland, and they would only have responsibility for cleaning up the environmental mess they have left behind. Yes, the uncle of the boy murdered did have harsh words. As you point out however you have failed to find anyone who claimed a biased jury because they are white.
  9. How many Candu reactors have been sold? Argentina - we lost hundreds of millions on that one India - used to make plutonium for a nuclear bomb Pakistan - financed through a 50 year interest free loan from export Canada Taiwan - 80% financed by Canada on hopes of future sales that never materialized That leaves China, Romania, and South Korea for a total of about 5GW that we might have made some money on, but without doubt they are lifting the designs just like India did.
  10. Yes, he spent a few dollars to get hero points and then cut them off at the knees. Here, let me buy you a DQ Blizzard and I expect you to praise me for the rest of eternity even if I take away more from you in the future.
  11. From what I understand a bunch of Harper stooges in the Senate have said they will not vote until early June, thus pushing the legalization date beyond July 1. You can't blame this one on Trudeau, what do you expect him to do bring in the army and put the Harper stooges in jail?
  12. Except it was the other way around. For years, Ontario was forced to pay premium prices above world prices to Alberta. You could drive across the border into Quebec where the gas was refined in Montreal from an oil pipeline to the coast of Maine and pay significantly less. Alberta prefers to sell their heavily discounted oil to Americans rather than have Ontario pay world prices for their gas, even though they have everything to thank Ontario for in building their industry. Alberta doesn't see eastern Canada as a partner in ensuring an energy self sufficient Canada, but rather a wasteland they can pump their dirty sludge through to other markets.
  13. The economy works for the richest, is does not work for the poorest. The richest are the largest beneficiaries of the economy, and a big part of the economy is the government services. They bring market stability for the rich to get rich.
  14. If you are talking about the evolution of man, then yes we have evolved into sexual reproduction. I don't understand what 'intended' means.
  15. The tinpot dictators are meeting.

Hey Impact, when you said tinpot dictators are meeting - I thought you meant the trade meeting with MERCOSUR.

Did anyone ever get NK to say on record that they'd be willing to de-nuclearize?

Duh, did you ever hear about the Agreed Framework between the United States of America and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea? It was signed on October 21, 1994,  with the objective of freezing and replacement of North Korea's indigenous nuclear power plant program with more nuclear proliferation resistant light water reactor power plants, and the step-by-step normalization of relations between the U.S. and the DPRK. I would say a signed agreement Trumps Trump's statement by a bizillion miles, but then that is just me. Keep on shilling for Trump, it looks good on you.

  16. the largest beneficiaries of government largess
  17. It really depends on what metric you are using: Progressive Conservatives reduced military spending to 6.9% of government revenue. Liberals (Cretien/Martin) reduced military spending from 6.9% to 6.6% Conservatives (Harper) reduced military spending from 6.6% to 5.7%
  18. It is a matter of jurisdiction the federal government is responsible for all marine species with the exception of anadromous and catadromous species in inland waters in some regions provincial and territorial governments are responsible for freshwater species, with the exception of salmon in British Columbia.
  19. Please name names, and quote exactly what they said.
  20. Those that died in concentration camps were only a part of the total killed, many others were shot or victims of the gas wagons and still more died as a result of the conditions they were forced into. You also seem to ignore the fact that there were many concentration camps, the estimates there are: Auschwitz complex (including Birkenau, Monowitz, and subcamps): approximately 1 million Treblinka 2: approximately 925,000 Belzec: 434,508 Sobibor: at least 167,000 Chelmno: 156,000–172,000
  21. Loyalty is a two way street. It is not important to Trump at all, only one way sucking up is.
  22. Not my place to say, that is the point about individual choice.
  23. It was $19 billion or 25% of GDP. Trudeau increased it to 38% of GDP and Mulroney increased it to 64% of GDP.
  24. No, Canada's debt was created during WWII. Without that legacy debt, and everything else being equal, we would have zero debt.
