  1. I don't think so. The first internal combustion engines appeared nearly a century before electric vehicles, although it was hydrogen powered. Gasoline powered ICE also predate electric vehicles, but only by a couple of decades. There were electric streetcars about the time ICE vehicles started production, and they were more prevalent than ICE powered buses; perhaps that is what you are thinking about. Steam power of course predated all of this. I'm not sure what you mean by 'widespread'.
  2. I couldn't agree more. Two debates, and the people and issues got left on the sidelines and it was all about Trump & Clinton. I don't see any billionaire doing space exploration. No scientific missions, just garbage scows and tourism.
  3. What percentage of our beer industry is foreign owned? Internal combustion engines can run on non-fossil fuels as well, this eliminates some of the alternatives. Besides vehicles, there are many other uses of internal combustion engines. A chainsaw for example. Yes, you have electric ones for home use, and potentially battery operated as well, but it will be a major challenge to build one for the forestry industry. Of course we can view this as the glass half empty, or focus on the problem and reap the rewards.
  4. What a great fantastic strategy. Install a covert operative in the other party to gain their nomination, and then have him blow up both his own campaign as well as the rest of the party.

    Well done Hilary.

The conspiracy theory is probably more believable than the reality, but given how badly Trump damaged his brand, I don't think any of this was intended.

  5. Well Trump proved to the world he doesn't know. He stated during the second debate it stands for Classified, which is completely false. It stands for Confidential, the lowest of US government classification levels (Confidential, Secret, Top Secret).
  6. Ah poor little Donald, it is not his fault he is a misogynist pig, it is in those genes he inherited from his birth parents from the Philippines who abandoned him to be adopted by a rich american father. He doesn't need to take responsibility for his crude, rude, and outright ridiculous behaviour. Clown lives matter, and the big orange clown needs your sympathy.
  7. Not only will we have a Democrat in the Whitehouse, but now the clown is ensuring Congress will be blue as well.

  8. MOSCOW (The Borowitz Report)Calling the Republican nominee’s behavior “completely indefensible,” the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, cancelled a joint campaign appearance with Donald Trump on Monday.

Haha are we entirely sure this is satire?

  9. I don't know if Marx explicitly banned it, but he certainly had a very negative attitude to religion. He called it the opiate of the masses, it served the rulers by giving the peasants a false hope.
  10. Now Trump is using Russian disinformation straight from the Kremlin. Tonight at his rally he held up an e-mail that was modified by the Russians and then taken down by them once they were exposed. It only was available for a short time, but Trump got his little fingers on it quickly. No need to use the Presidents hotline, he already has one installed.
  11. Check out ApplePay. Place your watch next to the terminal, and you are done. You can even have you bill automatically deduced from your bank account. Yes, I would suggest you review the items, but it can be an almost hands off system. No need to run to the ATM to get cash. b.t.w. I still prefer cash, but just pointing out ease of use is not the problem.
  12. I suggest you do a little fact checking of your own. Clinton was ordered by a judge to defend that guy, against her own wishes. Clinton didn't win the case, the incompetent police messed up the evidence.
  13. So you are equating sexual assault with soliciting a prostitute? Do you really think anyone would elect Snoop Dog as President?
  14. Really, could you point us to the court case where Hilary and Bill were convicted?
  15. No, but I read those that were flagged as significant. If you can find a needle in the haystack then great, but until then I will not assume it is in there.
  16. Certainly embarrassing stuff in there, like the one about her daughter, but I don't see anything really damaging to the campaign.
  17. It generally works for me, but I just tried in the status updates and it didn't. The WYSIWYG editor is new for the status updates, perhaps there are different editors.
  18. I wouldn't say clearly, Cooper asked the followup and repeated it another two times before her actually said in an offhand manner he didn't do that. He was avoiding saying that like the plague.
  19. I know, the truth doesn't matter. Did you bother to read the article I linked? I expect you will be seeing a lot of headlines over the coming days. Standing on stage and lying through you teeth only gets you votes from the deplorables.
  20. Betsy is now riding the subway and reading the tabloids. Look around the world, I suggest the Washington Post for starters. Donald Trump once again relied on many dubious and false claims that have been repeatedly been debunked. His Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, on occasion made a factual misstep, but it didn’t even compare to Trump’s long list of exaggerations.
  21. I see, personal choice is not a part of your system. People cannot choose to have white bread, or no bread at all?
  22. Don't let them get you down Greg, we appreciate the hard work you. Unfortunately it is human nature to complain about change. Give it a few weeks to settle down and as we get familiar with the updated system I expect the comfort factor to improve.
  23. Can Trump actually answer a question, or is that another character flaw?

He could lie like Clinton did during the FBI email investigation.

You could pay me 10 cents for each question Trump answered and I would still have made more than he did in 1995.

  24. Utopia always sounds wonderful, until you try and implement it.
  25. A settlement to go on your way and avoid a nasty courtroom experience is very different from a pre-negotiated agreement.
