Exactly. Oh woe-is-me for being treated badly by some Israelis, while Palestinians have tried to exterminate them for some 70+ years. How many invasions by how many Arab states over how many decades? Then, they lose a war in which they started, they lose land because of it, and now want to go back to the conditions which existed before the invasion they began. That's rich. I'm sure Israel would give back any "occupied" territory, if they knew it wouldn't be used as a staging ground for more attacks. Which seems to be the case. And what's really pathetic, is hearing people who strap suicide belts on their children, complain about children being "abused" by Israeli soldiers. That's also very rich.

Hamas MP: Rome "planted the brothers of apes and pigs in Palestin
Shady replied to scribblet's topic in The Rest of the World
I guess the children or grandchildren could inherit their jihad, and the commanders may come from them, if they're not used as suicide bombers during the current jihad. This is a great reminder to everyone of Islam, the religion of peace. -
Support our troops, U.S. that is
Shady replied to jazzer's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Why are people using bits of sentences instead of full quotes? Seems disingenuous to say the least. But hey, I can try the same thing. Anyways. The President doesn't tell people what to think. He has opinions. And he expresses his opinions. Free speech is a right for all, even Presidents. You are clearly free to disagree with his opinions, as I'm free to disagree with his and/or yours. -
Happy Anniversary Iraq!
Shady replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I respectfully disagree. The current economic situation has very little to do with any spending in Iraq, and almost entirely based on the sub-prime mortgage situation/housing market problems. And remember. After all of the negative economic news over the last several months, the American unemployment rate is still at 5%. 5% people! During the depression, unemployment rates soared to 25+ percent. Even a deep recession wouldn't push the unemployment rate past 10%. -
At least, that's what someone around here kept telling me. Well, apparently now the big guy isn't so mad about the killing as he is about the drawing. Bin Laden warns EU over Prophet cartoons DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden threatened the European Union with grave punishment on Wednesday for publication of cartoons mocking Islam's Prophet Mohammad. In an audio recording posted on the Internet coinciding with the birthday of Islam's founder, bin Laden said the drawings, considered offensive by Muslims, were part of a "new crusade" in which Pope Benedict was involved. "Your publications of these drawings -- part of a new crusade in which the Pope of the Vatican had a significant role -- is a confirmation from you that the war continues," said the Saudi-born militant leader, addressing "those who are wise at the European Union". Link So Bin Laden is going to tell all of us, what we can or cannot draw in our own countries. Not only that, the Danish cartoons were part of a conspiracy in which the Pope was somehow involved. I'm suprised he didn't throw in the Jews and George Bush just to elevate his conspiracy to an almost unsurpassable level.

Absolutely. In fact, you could be known as Barack Carinthia Obama.
-
I can see why you'd think that, and I've definitely noticed that type of thing going on. However...People of the forum I have decided that I would like to be the Barack Obama of this forum. If it helps, think of me as Barack Shady Obama. I would like to try and unite all of us, and move past the usual left/right battles that we so easily fall into, over and over again. We need to discuss issues, together, acknowledging that each of us wants the best for our country, and our world. We may choose different paths, but the goal is ultimately the same. The differences we may have with eachother derives not from the destination we seek, but the means to get there. Thank you, and God bless you all.

Obama's spiritual mentor says: God Damn America
Shady replied to Leafless's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I disagree. Someone can say something that others disagree with without being associated with any religion. I also disagree with your term "Evangelical America". Evangelical's make up a small percentage of the American populace. And that populace doesn't demand their leaders follow some "antiquated notion of a sky judge." There's mayors, governor's, members of congress, and former President's and Vice Presidents who were in no-way thought of as religious individuals. What I find more pathetic is antiquated sterotypes and agruments based on something other then reality. But you definitely have the right to believe whatever you want which makes you feel superior. Kind of like religion in a way -

I guess they're free to leave whenever they want.I thought the worst of it was the claim that AIDS was created by the government, as a way to exterminate the black population. -
Thanks. It's too bad he couldn't have been more sane about things. It could have been interesting. Maybe he'll learn if given another chance. However, when his first post in the Spitzer thread brought up waterboarding and killing Iraqi's, one could tell there'd be problems. Oh well.

Why does UShaditComing have to be so insulting toward our American neighbours? I can understand someone who may disagree with the current Administration's domestic and/or foreign policy. I can understand someone who disagrees with past Administration's policy. But I don't understand why someone has to be so insulting and disrespectful in their posts toward America and American's as a whole. And it seems to travel from thread to thread no matter what the topic.

I see, so you can site him as a reference to your claim Saddam didn't gas the kurds, but when I ask you about him, it's off topic? -

You have been asked/warned because you're a troll. You turn every thread into the Iraq war and America is bad meme. -
Why we don't fight in Darfur.
Shady replied to eyeball's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Exactly. It's a pretty grotesque form of discussion, if one can even describe it as discussion. And there's many sources that insist he did. As to Stephen Pelletiere, do you agree with some of his other assessments? Like his assertion of Saddam's human rights abuses, or that there were justifications for invading Iraq, but that Halabja wasn't one of them? -

You are a liar. I'm sorry, I don't like calling people liars, but there's no other term that I can use to describe you. You are either purposely, or unknowingly stating incorrect information.HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS MAKE SHIITE PILGRIMAGE TO KARBALA Exercising their new-found religious freedom, hundreds of thousands of Shiites marched to the Holy City of Karbala in Iraq on Tuesday, in a pilgrimage long banned by Saddam Hussein's regime. The lie which the St.Petersburg Times exposed
Shady replied to UShaditComing's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
In other words, you're ducking the question.Anyways, I found a link to the actual St. Petersburg article other then the propaganda website that USHIC linked to. Link Here are a few things left out by our resident propagandist: Soviet satellite photos of Kuwait taken five weeks after the Iraqi invasion That there was an Iraqi invasion of Kuwait early in August and that some Iraqi troops remained in the small nation in mid-September is not in doubt, of course. Kuwait City was occupied and heavily damaged, atrocities were committed by Iraqi troops, and Westerners fleeing Kuwait for Saudi Arabia reported encountering Iraqi soldiers in the Kuwaiti desert The photos are not conclusive proof that the administration overestimated Iraq's buildup along the Saudi border Another possibility is that the Soviets deliberately or accidentally produced a photo taken before the Iraqi invasion. My goal was to prove that you lie. Mission accomplished! -
The lie which the St.Petersburg Times exposed
Shady replied to UShaditComing's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Exactly. If we're to believe these claims, then we must believe the following:During the cold war, the Soviet Union decided to sell some satellite photos to an American newspaper. During the cold war, an American newspaper decided that information gathered from the Soviet Union would hold up to usual journalistic standards. Also, according to USHIC (regarding the first gulf war in 1991): Even though the European Union didn't come into existence until 1993, and a common currency (the euro) wasn't introduced until 1999.That theory is even less believable then the magic bullet theory. Come on UShaditComing, let's try and stay focused on reality. Don't be a denial monkey.
