  1. Yeah, kind of like John Kerry, or Ted Kennedy, or Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reid, etc. I don't think the number of homes a candidate owns, especially homes purchased after coming home from Vietnam, or acquired through a marriage determine anything about one's qualifications to be President.
  2. You can keep repeating that mantra, but it doesn't make it true, or at the very least, true in the case of Christ Hospital. And Obama doesn't refer to it at all in his defense of his vote. It's the "burden" of having another physician actually have to care for the abortion surviving baby. Damn those burdens.
  3. Obama's pathetic defense of his vote. Audio
  4. Anyone who votes against medical care for infants surviving abortions is a radical.
  5. That lie has already been debunked. YouTube
  6. I'm going to interpret that as a compliment, and simply say thank you. And also say thank you to Rush Limbaugh, from whom I stole it.
  7. Barack Obama and Born-Alive In 2001, Senator Barack Obama was the only member of the Illinois senate to speak against a bill that would have recognized premature abortion survivors as “persons.” The bill was in response to a Chicago-area hospital that was leaving such babies to die. Obama voted “present” on the bill after denouncing it. It passed the state Senate but died in a state house committee. In 2003, a similar bill came before Obama’s health committee. He voted against it. But this time, the legislation was slightly different. This latter version was identical to the federal Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, which by then had already passed the U.S. Senate unanimously (with a hearty endorsement even from abortion advocate Sen. Barbara Boxer) and had been signed into law by President Bush. Link Looks like Barack has some explaining to do. Because on the surface, this is pretty disgusting, and I hope for his sake, he has a reasonable defense for this lapse in judgement.
  8. I was making a point regarding the Vicki Iseman lie. Sorry if it went over your head.
  9. Not true. I guess we've already forgotten about Eliot Spitzer. Or, until Barack Obama comes clean about his affair with Scarlett Johansson.
  10. Sorry, I should have expanded on that point. You're right, it's definitely not a joke. I just think all of the complaining by certain individuals in this forum, on behalf of Obama, is somewhat humourous. Check that, very humourous. And to answer your question, it's obviously the Messiah.
  11. This whole discussion over McCain's "negative ads" is a joke. The Obama campaign has released several negative ads of their own and I don't hear the same people complaining. This is politics people. It's the Presidential campaign, and there's going to be negative ads. Why? Because negative ads work. And they come from both sides. And usually the side that's complaining, is the side that's losing the battle. Hence, why the Obama campaign got so worked up over the celebrity ad. Why? Because it's an effective ad, that worked. Obama's just gonna have to roll up his sleeves, campaign hard in all 57 states, so that he can be President for the next 8 - 10 years.
  12. Thank you for providing an excellent example, to further prove my posts regarding media bias in another thread. It's amazing that the New York Times, with no proof of any type of inappropriate relationship, decided to run with the story. But the same mainstream media, with boat loads of evidence, ducked the Edwards story since last fall. I'd also like to take this oppurtunity to correct you. John McCain has commented on the New York Times story. I think you may want to use some other sources than just the Huffinton Post all the time. It's providing you with some very sketchy information. Here's the YouTube link of John McCain discussing the issue back in FEBRUARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YouTube Interesting video for someone who's "never brought the issue up" and has "refused to answer". I agree. However, I'll agree even more when John Edwards comes clean about the child as well. Until then, you stay classy John Edwards!
  13. I've never said that Edwards shouldn't be POTUS because of his affair. I don't think he should be POTUS because he's a despicable lying sack of crap. However, he is definitely qualified to be a great used-car salesman. No, but it does make it much less relevant, considering 30 years of a clear public and private record to examine. Wrong. People can make mistakes in their younger lives, and learn from them, and become better people. Yes, I think it was very wrong for John McCain to stray from his wife in the 70's. And, when examining his life since the war, since his years of torture, and since his unfaithfulness during that same period, I believe he has learned and changed for the better. I can't say the same for John Edwards. The man is in his 50's, he has a family, and he's running for POTUS now. And if he can be so deceitful and so callus to his own family, and cancer stricken wife. Then what does that say about his judgement and character to be President? I think you know the answer.
  14. Putin needs to end the charade. Re-open the gulags, bring back the hammer and sickle, and make it offical already.
  15. Oh, and the Afghanistan and Iraq wars were started by Al Qaeda's terrorist attacks on 911 (they are based in Afghanistan, under the Taliban's protection), and Saddam Hussein's violation of the cease-fire agreement, when he expelled weapons inspectors for a period of 4 years, while at the same time, attempting to shoot down American and British aircraft patrolling the no-fly zone. Let's put the blame where it belongs. However, I don't want us to get off-topic. I think we all need to focus on the illegal and unjust war perpetuated by Russia. I want to see the F-Putin signs, the no blood for oil signs, and the worlds biggest terrorist signs with a picture of Vladimir Putin.
  16. Speaking of hypocrisy. I'm still waiting for the protestors against this illegal and unjust war initiated by Russia. You know, the same ones that showed up to protest America's intervention in Afghanistan and Iraq. So far, all I hear is silence.
  17. Maybe because your premise is wrong. John McCain and his former wife were on their way to being divorced, and as you state, married Cindy after the marriage had ended. Not to mention that known events that occured 30 years ago don't tend to qualify as news. I agree. Too bad this situation doesn't qualify. Hmm, that's as relevant as Rep. Gerry Studds D-MA, having engaged in sexual relationships with minors, and then getting a standing ovation from the Democrat controlled Congress. That's poor form as well. That's incorrect. Elizabeth Edwards was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. You stay classy John Edwards!
  18. Yep. And especially when that spouse is in the midst of battling cancer. You stay classy John Edwards.
  19. LOL. I love it, "the only reasonable interpretation because it supports my argument". No, Obama stated that McCain was going to scare voters because Obama doesn't "look like all of the other Presidents on the dollar bills". What was he referring to? His big ears, some type of scar, or that he's black? Ding, ding, ding, if you said that he's black! That my friend, can only be reasonably and correctly interpreted, as playing the race card. One would have to be completely intellectually dishonest not to think so.
  20. You mean the "Sky is blue" Presidential Daily Briefing? Well duh, Osama Bin Laden had been determined to strike America since his declaration of war on America back in 1996.
  21. Where did you come up with those numbers? The US national debt is much higher than a trillion dollars, and is the combined deficits the founding of the country. The US deficits have run from around $140 billion to $500 billion over the last several years. The yearly cost of the war has been around $100 billion. No they didn't. Your revisionist history is amusing. If anything, the US went into Iraq with too small a force, and too cautious of civilian casualties. You mean this Muqtada Al-Sadr? Moqtada Packs It In "Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr plans to announce Friday that he will disarm his Mahdi Army." I guess because the Iraq war has been won, and Iraq had turned the corner, on it's way to becoming a free and prosperous country, the detractors have no other option than to dig up and disect past mistakes. Well, if it helps those of you sort out your Bush Derangement Syndrome, then more power to you.
  22. The conception of Fox News is a direct result of leftwing bias in the mainstream media. Kinda like the way the Joker created Batman. Fox News is the Batman of cable news. Yeah, that and CNN being the "most trusted name in news". Or MSNBC claiming to be a "fuller spectrum of news". Whatever. Democrats use fear in every election, so to complain about that in reverse is quite hypocritical, and intellectually dishonest. Republicans want to starve children, Republicans want old people to eat dog food, Republicans want to poison the environoment, you're only one paycheck from homelessness, etc, etc, etc. Democrats are just upset that their fear was trumped. Yep, and the New England Patriots were on their way to an undefeated season, right before the Giants scored that last second touchdown. Oh, and swiftboated = the truth being told about you. Yes, it did suck for Kerry when the public found out what kind of person he is/was. Well, that's their freaking job! And Obama has just as many gaffes. See my thread entitled "Senator Teleprompter".
  23. Yes, even more good news out of Iraq. Moqtada Packs It In Good news out of Iraq is becoming almost a daily event: In just the past week, we learned that U.S. combat fatalities (five) dropped in July to a low for the war, that key leaders of al Qaeda in Iraq have fled to the Pakistani hinterland, that troop deployments will soon be cut to 12 months from 15, and that Washington and Baghdad are close to concluding a status-of-forces agreement. Now this: Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr plans to announce Friday that he will disarm his Mahdi Army, which was raining mortars on Baghdad's Green Zone as recently as April. Coupled with the near-total defeat of al Qaeda in Iraq, this means the U.S. no longer faces any significant organized military foe in the country. It also marks a major setback for Iran, which had used the Mahdi Army as one of its primary vehicles for extending its influence in Iraq. WSJ Quick, somebody tell Harry "The War Is Lost" Reid. What a leader that guy is, the way he and his party persevered, through even the most dark and difficult times was unbelievable. The Winston Chruchill of our time. How about the war is won, you a-hole. This guy should be ashamed to even show his face in public, unless it's to be spit on. Of course, that's only my opinion, I could be wrong.
  24. I liked the Moses ad much better. Because, afterall, he's the Messiah. "... a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany ... and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama" - Barack Obama Lebanon, New Hampshire. January 7, 2008 YouTube
  25. Jon Stewart had the best Obama joke I've heard so far. During Obama's European and Mid East tour, he visited Bethlehem. Stewart said that Barack wanted to visit the manger he was born in. And yes, Obama played the race card. So much for the first post-racial candidate, and for "change you can believe in". This guy is the biggest farce I've ever seen. Bill Clinton was right when back in New Hampshire, he described this as a fairy tale.
