  1. Yeah, the 2009 and 2010 deficit projections have exploded because Obama just saved 2 trillion dollars on health care. Nope, I didn't think it was brilliant at all. In fact, his second term deficits were inexcusable. His first term deficits were a little more understandable with the recession and 911. There's a slight different between a deficit of 3% of GDP and an Obama deficit of 50% of GDP. Even you should be able to do the math.
  2. 2009 deficit 50% greater than expected The director of the Congressional Budget Office today updated his projections for the budget and economic outlook and is now anticipating a $1.8 trillion deficit this year, and $1.4 trillion in 2010. This is up from CBO director Douglas W. Elmendorf's January 2009 projection of a $1.2 trillion deficit this year. In short, the US government is borrowing 50 cents for every dollar it spends. The new projected deficit is four times the 2008 deficit, which was a record high for its time. ABC News What's even worse, is that their projections of 2010 and beyond are going to be even larger. And as that rises, so does the amount of new debt Obama will add over the next several years, currently projected at 9 - 10 trillion dollars. I wouldn't be suprised if it ends up in the neighbourhood of 12 -15 trillion dollars. And just a reminder, Bush added a paltry 5 trillion. And remember how awful that was!
  3. Oh the irony. The Liberal multicultural critic, exploiting multicultural Canadians. Anyways, to answer the question as to whether she'll survive. Nope, she's done. It's just a matter of time.
  4. How exactly is the thread pointless? The White House caved to public pressure. If I had a time machine, and/or could see the future, I wouldn't have started this topic. But alas, I have neither. Anyways... Earlier, White House officials had said that there were no plans to release photos to the public. But the tone seemed to change on Wednesday. CNN
  5. Just a reminder, but Obama's still killing civilians in Afghanistan. Obama expresses regret for Afghan civilian deaths WASHINGTON – Flanked by the leaders of Afghanistan and Pakistan, President Barack Obama expressed deep U.S. regret Wednesday for civilian casualties in a deadly incident this week in western Afghanistan, promising "every effort" to avoid recurrences in the war against a rising Taliban insurgency. AP
  6. Because I read the news. New Allegations Of White House Threats Over Chrysler Creditors to Chrysler describe negotiations with the company and the Obama administration as "a farce," saying the administration was bent on forcing their hands using hardball tactics and threats. The sources, who represent creditors to Chrysler, say they were taken aback by the hardball tactics that the Obama administration employed to cajole them into acquiescing to plans to restructure Chrysler. One person described the administration as the most shocking "end justifies the means" group they have ever encountered. Another characterized Obama was "the most dangerous smooth talker on the planet- and I knew Kissinger." Both were voters for Obama in the last election. Link
  7. Exactly. By definition, any extremists priorities are going to be absurd. They're extremists.
  8. It illustrates how absurd the Obama administrations priorities are, and illustrates how hypocritical the left is when it comes to the outing of CIA agents vs the outing of a CIA desk jockey.
  9. Photos of Air Force One Flying Over NYC, Not To Be Seen By Public The $328,835 snapshots of an Air Force One backup plane buzzing lower Manhattan last week will not be shown to the public, the White House said yesterday. "We have no plans to release them," an aide to President Obama told The Post, refusing to comment further. NY Post So, in case you're keeping score at home. Photos of Air Force One over New York are off limits. However, classified CIA documents on interrogation, as well as photographs of said interrogation need to be published for everyone to see. Including the names of CIA agents responsible for the enhanced interrogation. ABCNEWS outs 'torture' psychologists Bruce Jessen and Jim Mitchell, former military officers, together founded Mitchell Jessen and Associates. Both men declined to speak to ABC News citing non-disclosure agreements with the CIA. But sources say Jessen and Mitchell together designed and implemented the CIA's interrogation program. ABC News Remember when the left was so outraged when that desk jockey Valery Plame was so-called outed? Have you heard a peep out of them after the mainstream media actually outed two real CIA agents? Nope.
  10. When were Reaganomics proven to be terribly wrong? Are tax rates at 70% again, like they were before he became President? I mean, I know they're headed there soon, because Obama is racking up so much debt in so little time, that taxpayers will have to pay much more to prevent the country from going bankrupt.
  11. More identity politics, where qualifications are trumped by sex, sexual preference, race, and most recently so-called empathy.
  12. I followed your link, and it didn't contain anything even close to what you claimed. You'd think somebody who's posted nearly 18,000 times in 3 years (do you get paid to post, or do you just not have much of a life?) would know how to support their argument. Guess not.
  13. China cuts up Obama's credit card Treasury Department data shows that investors in China have sharply curtailed their purchases of bonds in January and February. With China's economy also hit by the global economic crisis, Premier Wen Jiabao has openly voiced concern about the status of his country's investments in the United States. China has also floated replacing the dollar as the key international currency with a basket of units bringing in the euro, sterling and yen. Link And apparently, in 8 - 10 years, interest on the debt will reach over 1 trillion dollars per year.
  14. Here's some scary stuff. Administration Threatened to Destroy Investment Firm's Reputation A leading bankruptcy attorney representing hedge funds and money managers told ABC News Saturday that Steve Rattner, the leader of the Obama administration's Auto Industry Task Force, threatened one of the firms, an investment bank, that if it continued to oppose the administration's Chrysler bankruptcy plan, the White House would use the White House press corps to destroy its reputation. ABC News So essentially, you have The Obama administration threatening to use the WHite House press corps to destroy the reputations of private citizens, as a punishment for not relinquishing their contractual rights for having helped keep Chrysler from bankruptcy. This is pretty disgusting. That's hope n change, Nixonian-style.
  15. Here's some video illustrating the fact that these tea parties were not a soley blame Obama gathering. This is a Republican congressman in North Carolina, being booed off the stage for his support of TARP and other bank bailouts. Enjoy.
  16. Instead, why don't you answer my question. Could the budget referenced pass without Liberal support?
  17. Yes, as if a cure for cancer hasn't been sought after through many administrations.
  18. And by the way, how is climate engineering not an attempt at controlling the weather?
  19. Nice try. What he said was, "we will cure cancer in our time." And who is we? His administration. It's the same type of tact used by John Kerry and John Edwards during the '04 Presidential campaign. This is John Edwards on Monday at a rally in Newton, Iowa: "If we do the work that we can do in this country, the work that we will do when John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk, get up out of that wheelchair and walk again." Washington Post
  20. Of coure. It has nothing to do with the fact that such budgets couldn't be passed without the support of the Liberals.
  21. *pathological liar alert* Actually, it's more like a half-truth alert. What he fails to mention is that the letter written by 2000 scientists is, and I quote from his own source, "addressed to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff."
  22. Yeah, that's almost as good as the 'Palin is a c*nt' t-shirts worn by Obama supporters during the campaign.
  23. Who the F cares about what happened in France? What were talking about is what's happening in Canada in respect to freedom of speech, and freedom of assembly. I'm not sure if you're aware, but France has many different laws than us. And in Canada, universities and colleges are suppose to be institutions of higher learning, which invite discussion and debate, not a shutting down of political speech and opinion. And you're quite mistaken if you think that student unions have the power to deny people protected charter rights and freedoms. It's sad that you're so blinded by partisanship that you're unable to see what's clearly going on. YFS pushes ban on pro-life groups York Federation of Students (YFS) is set to put forward a motion that will ban “anti-choice” groups from operating on on campus, at a semi-annual general meeting of the Canadian Federation of Students (CFS) Link CFS-Ontario passes pro-life ban motion At a conference in January, CFS-Ontario approved a motion to support student unions that wish to ban pro-life groups from their campuses. Link Free speech for me, but not for thee. Hmm, I wonder what would happen if a gay/lesbian group was at the receiving end of something like this...hmmm.
  24. It's all part of his Messianic language. Like say... "This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal." (the moment being his election)
