Valedictorian's speech cut short by school district A local high school graduation ended with roars of protest after school officials turned the microphone off right in the middle of one of the valedictorian's speeches. The microphone cut out after the valedictorian at Foothill High made reference to God. MSNBC I would like to congradulate this girl for persevering in the face of censorship and the infringement on her Constitutional rights. Somebody needs to stand up to the kook-secular left. Ann Coulter was right to describe these people as Godless. Bravo Brittney McComb!

Sooter Libby isn't "taking the fall" for anything. He's charged with lying under oath, not for "outing a CIA operative". No one has been charged with "outing a CIA operative". You need to better understand the American laws related to that type of crime, because you're way off base. But it all comes down to the Dems and their human shields as policy advocates. It was absolutely legitimate to expose Wilson as a liar. The VP didn't send him to Niger as he liked to imply, it was his wife. If he was so worried about her privacy, maybe he shouldn't have submitted an Op-Ed to the New York Times. You can't enter the political arena and not expect people to call you on your lies and false statements. No more human shields in politics! Ann Coulter is right! Some of Wilson's Lies: Former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV, dispatched by the CIA in February 2002 to investigate reports that Iraq sought to reconstitute its nuclear weapons program with uranium from Africa, was specifically recommended for the mission by his wife, a CIA employee, contrary to what he has said publicly. The panel found that Wilson's report, rather than debunking intelligence about purported uranium sales to Iraq, as he has said, bolstered the case for most intelligence analysts. And contrary to Wilson's assertions and even the government's previous statements, the CIA did not tell the White House it had qualms about the reliability of the Africa intelligence that made its way into 16 fateful words in President Bush's January 2003 State of the Union address The report also said Wilson provided misleading information to The Washington Post last June. He said then that he concluded the Niger intelligence was based on documents that had clearly been forged because "the dates were wrong and the names were wrong." "Committee staff asked how the former ambassador could have come to the conclusion that the 'dates were wrong and the names were wrong' when he had never seen the CIA reports and had no knowledge of what names and dates were in the reports," the Senate panel said. Wilson told the panel he may have been confused and may have "misspoken" to reporters You cannot lie like that and not expect to be called on it. And it's especially dangerous when your wife is a CIA operative. What was he thinking?

Lieberman Leaving Dems?
Shady replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Exactly. Except, I think this is a case of the party leaving him. It's one of the problems with the kook-left have such influence in the Democratic party. -
See everyone. We ARE doing good work in Afghanistan.

At least Orenthal was charged with a crime and found guilty in a civil suit. Rove's had a Special Counsel in conjunction with a Grand Jury look into any suggested wrong-doing, and wasn't charged. Give it a rest. It's over.

Obviously a child is better of with loving parents. That's not the issue. A child is even better off with loving parents who are a mother and father. Absolutely. Children can be brought up successfully in environments other then by a mother and father. But we're talking about what's the BEST situation. And by far, the BEST situation, is for a child to be brought up with a loving mother and a loving father, versus a loving mother and loving mother, or loving father and loving father. Nothing. I fully support Civil Unions.

Coulter attacks 9/11 Widows
Shady replied to newbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Well, it's a good thing you didn't sink down to her pathetic level, right? -
I'm Canadian. I am one of the friends to the north. And I'm quite capable of comprehending that, when one isn't charged with a crime, it's very difficult to be guilty of it.

Coulter attacks 9/11 Widows
Shady replied to newbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Exactly. That's the crux of her argument. Unfortunately, she uses strong language and satire to make those points. Most people aren't able to grasp those concepts, and instead focus on the smaller point instead of the big picture. -
Again, I'm just speaking the truth and the facts. It's an absolute fact that a mother and father each bring unique characteristics and experiences that cannot be gained from two women and two men. The ideal situation for children is to be raised with a mother and father. Don't blame me, blame nature. However, the issue isn't about comparing a father beating his wife versus June Cleaver and June Cleaver or Ward Cleaver and Ward Cleaver. If a child is being raised in a family who's father is beating his wife, the ideal situation would be to place that child in a home with a mother and father without the dysfunction.

Unfortunately, you're missing the point. He didn't get away with anything. He's innocent. However, it's an odd comment from you. I guess he's guilty until proven innocent, and even then, he's guilty? How very liberal of you. I can't say that I'm suprised.
-
Ok. Well, 100 percent of the U.S. invasion was a result of Saddam Hussein's failure to comply with U.N. resolutions and the cease-fire he agreed to back in 1991. I think it's impossible and illogical to associate any number in regards to a percentage of the insurgents/terrorists. Well, you did. Well, you may not believe in the "mythology" of Zarqawi, however, he's was at the very least, somewhat big, and somewhat bad. Just take a look at his accomplishments. So, according to you, he's not big, or bad, but he's also responsible for SIGNIFICANT terrorist attacks. That's an interesting take.
-
Exactly. That figure comes from the same type of people that insist 100,000+ Iraqi civilians have been killed. And nevermind that 90% of civilian deaths over the last 3 years have been a result of insurgent/terrorist activities. Even if you accept the "4 to 10 percent" premise, it still doesn't discount the fact the Zarqawi was responsible for the most elaborate and significant terrorist bombings, and the one fanning the flames of any possible civil war. * The Targeting bombings of Iraqi Police and Security Stations * U.N. headquarters in Baghdad (and murdering envoy Sérgio Vieira de Melo). * Killing the leading Shiite Ayatollah Hakim outside his place of worship in Najaf. * The Bombing of the Golden Dome Mosque. And this barely scrapes the surface of what Zarqawi and his group are responsible for.

Bush Makes Surprise Visit to Iraq
Shady replied to Johnny Utah's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Hey BD, merry Fitzmas! LOL. -
Karl Rove won’t be prosecuted in CIA leak case WASHINGTON - Top White House aide Karl Rove has been told by prosecutors he won’t be charged with any crimes in the investigation into leak of a CIA officer's identity, his lawyer said Tuesday. Attorney Robert Luskin said that special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald informed him of the decision on Monday, ending months of speculation about the fate of one of President Bush’s closest advisers. Rove testified five times before a grand jury. Fitzgerald has already secured MSNBC If you see a liberal today. Give him or her a hug. They're going to need it.

Just pointing out the truth. Didn't mean to offend. Now go on calling calling insurgents "freedom fighters" and Hamid Karzai a "warlord". LOL.
-
killjoy, you're trying to have a logical and reasoned discussion with members of the kook-left. It's too late for them, they're gone. Their hatred consumed any logic and reason years ago. What you have to understand, is that, President Bush or anything remotely related to him or his administration is evil and to be battled. Even if it means rooting against situations that would be beneficial to other people and the rest of the world (ie Iraq and/or Afghanistan). It's over and they're done. You just have to get your gear, and move on, unfortunately. I applaud your effort though!

Some are Sad just because We're Happy.
Shady replied to Johnny Utah's topic in The Rest of the World
The death of Zarqawi was a big blow to the kook-left. Mainly because it's a victory for President Bush. And if there's anything the kook-left hates, it's President Bush, and anything associated with him, even if it means rooting against what's best for Iraq and Iraqi's. It's a sad thing really. -
I find that Tom Friedman of the New York Times is much more interesting and knowledgable on middle east issues.
-
Wrong. A child is better off having a mother and father, instead of two mothers or two fathers. A mother and father each bring unique characteristics and experiences that cannot be gained from two women and two men. It's common sense. It's also nature. I can't believe this is even debated.
-
This is nonsense. A person can be both an intellectual AND opposed to "gay marraige". The term "gay marraige" is an oxymoron. I'm also opposed to "gay marraige" but in favour of civil unions. Some may think it's semantics, but words mean things.
-
Um, because people like Fred Phelps are really annoying, but don't pose much of a risk to our country. On the other hand, people who want to mass murder thousands, if possible millions of people are definitely a risk. It's quite logical.

Terrorist arrested after botched bombing
Shady replied to Black Dog's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Again, can someone please link to where it states the man's religious beliefs? I haven't been able to find that part yet. Some of you seem to have access to additional information. If so, please share. I'd also like to state that one can be against the practice of abortion for reasons other then religion. Mine are scientific. -
Terrorist arrested after botched bombing
Shady replied to Black Dog's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
By not that kind of terrorism, you must be referring to the kind that puts thousands, potentially millions of innocent people at risk. If so, I wholeheartedly agree. Also, I didn't read the part referring to "radical religous beliefs". Can you please link to that? Thanks. -
Top 11 Things Anti-War Protestors Would Have Said
Shady replied to BHS's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
That's ok. Humor/satire obviously isn't your thing either.
