Healthcare Reform, Town halls and mobs.
Shady replied to GostHacked's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The healthcare protests at town halls existed long before Sarah Palin stepped into the debate. And so what if she's "rallying her people?" Obama's rallying his people, and I don't hear the same complaints. Supporters of a former community organizer shouldn't be upset when other people organize their own communities. And it's pretty clear that when some people in this forum are losing their arguments, they feel the need to shift debate by ushering in the names of Palin and Bush. Nice try. -
Michael Ignatieff....A Fine American !
Shady replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Ouch! That audio is going to play very badly during the next election. I wonder if Liberal's are second gussing their party's nomination of an American to be Prime Minister! If there's video of this speech, the next election is as good as over. I love it. -
I like how he asked himself questions, and then answered them. He was having quite the consversation with himself.

"[Pat] Buchanan is a bonafide anti-Semite. He, as a member of Opus Dei, he would like to see every Jew hanged..." - Mike Malloy "I have a good news to report; Glenn Beck appears closer to suicide - I'm hoping that he does it on camera; suicide is rampant in his family, and given his alcoholism and his tendencies towards self-destruction." - Mike Malloy "The Republicans are taking a page right out of a Nazi playbook." - Bill Press On Air America, talk show host Randi Rhodes recommended doing to Bush what Michael Corleone, in ``The Godfather, Part II," does to his brother. ``Like Fredo," she said, "somebody ought to take him out fishing and phuw!" -- then imitated the sound of a gunshot. It's an interesting phenomenon that's been under-reported by the Mainstream media. Probably because they're somewhat sympathetic to these individuals, and their ideology. I really wish Democrats were asked to answer for these kind of comments, the same way the Mainstream media always seems to ask Republicans to answer for conservative talk radio. It's a huge double-standard.

That hasn't stopped you from attacking Ontario Conservatives. And it certainly hasn't stopped you from attacking B.C. NDP. Hypocrisy, thy name is Dobbin.

Healthcare Reform, Town halls and mobs.

Again, it's not about that. It's about Obama-backed astroturf union thugs, roughing up healthcare protestors. I thought Obama had more class than that. -
Do you think Mulroney will go to prison?
Shady replied to 1967100's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
How about a poll option saying no he's innocent? This poll is rigged. Either you choose he'll go to jail, or he'll get away with it, assuming in all cases that he's guilty. The only alternative is the non-descript "other." -
Many things can be described as a "health condition." In this case, the NDP Government is absolutely correct. Healthcare dollars are scarce, and we shouldn't be wasting them on elective surgeries like sex-change operations. And Dobbin has a lot of nerve bringing this whole issue up. Thanks to the Ontario Liberals, eye exams and PSA tests for prostate cancer are now unfunded by OHIP. They've also broken promises to parents with chilcren suffering from autism. But at least they're funding sex-change operations, right Dobbin? Pathetic. Once again Dobbin exposes himself as the policial hack everyone knows he is.

Well, you're the one who posted a quote deriding the healthcare dissent as an attack on democracy. Make up your mind. And this isn't about Sarah Palin. It's about Obama-backed astroturf union thugs, roughing up healthcare protestors. -

Dissent is part of democracy. At least it was, until Obama was coronated in January. -

The only 'astroturf disrupters' are the Obama union thugs shipped into these events now. -

From what I've read and seen today, most of the violence was the result of aggressive union thugs. -
Obama wasn't born in America! Is it honestly that much stretch of the imagination?

Dems Buying 3 New Private Jets
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Not true. The Dems control the appropriation committee. And because the appropriation committee viewed the additional aircraft as an expansion of an existing Defense Department program, it did not treat the money for two more planes as an earmark, and the legislation does not disclose which Member had requested the additional money. So much for the most ethical congress ever, and the most transparent administration ever. Btw, Dems outnumber Republicans 37 - 22 on the appropriations committee. So again, to blame Republicans is completely intellectually dishonest and absurd. -
Dems Buying 3 New Private Jets
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
LOL! The Republicans have no power in Washington, so trying to blame them for this appropriation is completely ridiculous. It was the Dems who denounced CEO's just 6 months ago, for travel to Washington using their private jets. Now they seem to have no problem using tax payer money to purchase their own jets to fly around in. They keep telling us that this is the worst recession since the great depression. I wish they'd start acting like it. -
House Orders Up Three Elite Jets Last year, lawmakers excoriated the CEOs of the Big Three automakers for traveling to Washington, D.C., by private jet to attend a hearing about a possible bailout of their companies. But apparently Congress is not philosophically averse to private air travel: At the end of July, the House approved nearly $200 million for the Air Force to buy three elite Gulfstream jets for ferrying top government officials and Members of Congress. Link Way to go Dems for being completelly tone deaf! And making the Republicans job much easier in 2010.

North Korea agrees to free U.S. journalists
Shady replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Yep. All of them. -
Yes it does. Plenty of things that could be done by the private sector. The Government doesn't need to be the sole proprietor of such a service. Private schools educated students better than public schools. A complete waste of taxpayer money. Unless the use of public funds to out-bid private networks for the Simpsons and Hockey Night In Canada counts as being useful. Government in general doesn't necessarily mean socialism. Nobody is arguing that discrimination legislation is socialism.

The Story Of Barack Obama On His Birthday

Probably because it exposes socialism as the fraud that it is. Socialism only spreads misery "equally." And makes people feel "better" for it.

I'm still waiting for somebody to state even one thing that is false from Glenn Beck's "Story of Barack Obama on his birthday." Just one thing. -
