MSNBC edits clip of man with gun at Obama rally to support racism narrative On Tuesday, MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer fretted over health care reform protesters legally carrying guns: "A man at a pro-health care reform rally...wore a semiautomatic assault rifle on his shoulder and a pistol on his hip....there are questions about whether this has racial overtones....white people showing up with guns." Brewer failed to mention the man she described was black. Link It's just another example of Obama's cable network MS-DNC working hard to support him. I wonder if she also gets thrills up her leg?

You mean you like what Pigman is doing. He's half-pig, half-man. PIC -
What about it? They hold a place in line for lobbyists in Washington D.C. who are too lazy to attend hearings. Did you even bother reading what you posted? The Hoseins work for linestanding.com, one of several companies that offer the unusual service. The company charges lobbyists and interest groups $36 an hour, with a two-hour minimum, to use a line-stander for hearings. Good one punked!

You're linking to MSNBC? They're worse than Fox News!

How about not calling people who you disagree with racists? Gee, what a concept.

Stop being so obtuse. I've already posted alternative plans to Obamacare. You continue to pose a false choice between "doing nothing" and Obamacare. THAT'S A COMPLETE LIE. STOP LYING, YOU LYING LIAR. There are other options than the crap the Dem congress is trying to put together. -

You're just repeating the same incorrect talking point. The GOP's Health-Care Alternative Four Republicans in Congress -- Sens. Tom Coburn (Oklahoma) and Richard Burr (North Carolina) and Reps. Paul Ryan (Wisconsin) and Devin Nunes (California) -- will today introduce a bill that moves away from federal centralization. Aptly called the Patients' Choice Act, it provides a path to universal coverage by redirecting current subsidies for health insurance to individuals. It also provides a new safety net that guarantees access to insurance for those with pre-existing conditions. But implicit in the policy is the acknowledgment that our system of tying health insurance to the workplace is not working for upwards of 45 million uninsured Americans. WSJ It's not about doing nothing vs Obamacare. -
That doesn't mean it's necessarily better.

Apparently, some of the advertisers that dropped Glenn Beck, are also dropping commentary shows on MSNBC and CNN. They don't wanna be involved in any of it. Good job boycotters!

Shady replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I'm proud of you Dobbin. I knew you wouldn't let another chance for a Harper thread pass you by. My prediction of a "Harper burned his toast this morning" is looking more and more viable. I didn't think Harper derangement syndrome exists. I may now have to reconsider. -
Talk of Liberals nominating seperatist in PQ
Shady replied to punked's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Wasn't it both the Liberals and NDP would didn't mind a bit sharing Federal power with them? Actually having seperatists in Federal power positions? Shame on both of them. -

It's a false choice to make between "doing nothing" and Obamacare. There is a middle ground. And stop citing Obama's approval numbers. He's sinking faster than the Titanic. At the rate he's falling, he'll be lucky to have a 40% approval by the end of the year. He's gone from about 68% to 50% in a matter of 4 months. -
Ok, she's wrong, but is she relevant?

There is no bill. There's about 5 different versions in the house, and a couple in the senate. That's one of the problems. There's nothing concrete to debate or vote on. -
Yep, doesn't matter though. Remember, you said she wouldn't be relevant. But she is relevant. Just admit that you were horribly wrong, and we can all move on. Plus, you'll feel better after doing so.

She took a forum, Facebook, more commonly used by kids hooking up and cyberstalking, and with one catchy phrase, several footnotes and a zesty disregard for facts, managed to hijack the health care debate from Mr. Obama. Painting the Giacometti-esque Emanuel as a creepy Dr. Death, Palin attacked him on her Facebook page a week ago, complaining that his “Orwellian thinking” could lead to a “death panel” with bureaucrats deciding whether to pull the plug on less hardy Americans. The New York Times Try and stay informed. If you can't, then you shouldn't be commenting on topics you're unfamiliar with.

Glenn Beck pulls huge ratings, especially for a 5pm program. He may have lost some sponsors, but he'll easily find ones to take their place. He's going nowhere.
-
Sorry, but you're wrong. How can you say that having part of legislation dropped with basically one facebook post, isn't being relevant? It's definitely relevant, but you're not being intellectually honest about it.

Virginia Governor - Republican up 15 points <-- blue state New Jersey Governor - Republican up 11 points <-- blue state Illinois Senate - Republican up 3 points <-- blue state Connecticut Senate - Republican up 9 points <-- blue state Delaware Senate - Republican up 21 points <-- blue state Florida Senate - Republican up 22 points And unbelievably, California Senate - Boxer is only up 4 points now! <-- blue state RCP And in the latest generic congressional ballot poll, Republicans lead Democrats by 5% points, the largest lead Republicans have had in many years. And things look even better after the latest Gallup poll... Conservatives Now Outnumber Liberals in All 50 States, Says Gallup Poll Self-identified conservatives outnumber self-identified liberals in all 50 states of the union, according to the Gallup Poll. At the same time, more Americans nationwide are saying this year that they are conservative than have made that claim in any of the last four years. In 2009, 40% percent of respondents in Gallup surveys that have interviewed more than 160,000 Americans have said that they are either “conservative” (31%) or “very conservative” (9%). That is the highest percentage in any year since 2004. Only 21% have told Gallup they are liberal, including 16% who say they are “liberal” and 5% who say they are “very liberal.” CNS

Actually, in America they like to put their own bread on their table. Except for liberals. Liberals want the government to do that for them.
-
Yeah that must be it.

As I've already stating in another thread, I'm very pro-living will, and for the most part, don't have a problem with end of life provisions, depending on the details. But you guys are playing a shell game again. This topic wasn't about that, it was about the fake paid protests of the pro-Obamacare crowd, and their willingness to pay $600 a week to anyone who helps them. Read the polls. Obama is upside down on every healthcare poll. You don't have to be a brain surgeon to understand that it's gonna mean a lot of people dislike his program. So the anti-Obamacare protests shouldn't be a suprise.

Canuck selling out Canada's Health Care on Fox News
Shady replied to Radsickle's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Her family doctor in Canada ordered an MRI, and a brain tumor was detected. But it would take months for her to get on the appointment calendar of a neurologist or endocrinologist in Canada. Mayo Clinic That's not true. People want changes made. All one has to do is look at the Quebec supreme court case, and others.
