  1. I'm suprised she didn't end the interview. That was a very insulting question. I've never heard it asked of Obama. Which newsapers does he read, other than the Daily Worker of course. They seem to treat her, and Alaska as some other planet. All he could do was smile. Especially when she brought up the taxes = patriotism, and Biden's vast criticism's of Obama. As for debate polls, I can't help but laugh. Biden won the debate on points, but that doesn't necessarily translate to a win politically. As I've already stated the Bush/Gore debates as a perfect example. An even better example would be the Nixon/Kennedy debates.
  2. Soooo true! God bless YouTube.
  3. Almost as stupid as posting an "Obama derangement" thread. What's it up to, 4 replies now? Yeah, Obama derangement is outta control!
  4. No crystal ball is needed. Just common sense. Governor Palin's political career has already been successful. Did you get that? GOVERNOR Palin. Meaning she's the current Governor of the state of Alaska.
  5. Maybe I'll run for the Democrat nomination. Afterall, even dead people vote for their candidates.
  6. Huge early ratings for Palin-Biden debate Thursday's debate between Alaska governor Sarah Palin and Delaware senator Joe Biden proved prognosticators correct and scored extremely high viewership. Last night's debate totaled a 45.0 overnight meter-market household rating, according to Nielsen That's 42% higher than Friday's presidential debate between John McCain and Barack Obama Link Sarah destroyed the McCain/Obama debate on friday.
  7. And have you also worked on your City Council? Worked as Mayor of your city? Worked as Governor of your state? Yeah, probably not. However, maybe I should run for Preisdent. I've done a little community organzing work, and I can vote present on any tough issue that comes my way. Alhtough, I may be a little overqualified, because I don't support infanticide.
  8. Wikipedia A teleprompter (also known as an autocue) is a display device that prompts the person speaking with an electronic visual text of a speech or script. Using a teleprompter is similar to the practice of using cue cards. The screen is in front of the lens of the camera, and the words on the screen are reflected to the eyes of the speaker using a one-way mirror.
  9. Quick, somebody get him his teleprompter! Stat!!!
  10. She has that "slang" down, because that's who she is, it's not fake, as much as you people would like to hope. And yes, she used the term Maverick quite a bit, almost as much as Biden used Scranton. We get it Joe, you're originally from Pennsylvania. And yes, you people are in a small minority of those who don't find her likable. Many may disagree with her views on issues, but it's hard to not find her a likable person. Unless of course you're the ultra-partisan type, because no conservative will ever be likable. Now on to these ridiculous online polls people are posting. One can "win" a debate, but lose on the politics of it. For example, the debate between Gore and Bush in 2000, where Gore walked over to Bush, and Bush nodded his head towards Gore during his answer. Everyone noted that Gore easily won the debate, however, the outcome was vastly different when translated to actual political reality. The most relevant information I found in the CNN poll, was that Palin beat Biden by 20 points in likability. That always translates well in political terms, definitely better then technically winning a debate on points.
  11. I also happen to like Joe Biden quite a bit, even though I don't agree with him much politically. He seems like a good person, and also a genuine one, which can't be said about many politicians.
  12. Touche. No, I don't have a second bag of cheesies. However, I still have plenty of time to obtain some.
  13. LOL! Exactly. She's kind of hot now, so it wouldn't apply anymore.
  14. Wow, Sarah was amazing tonight! I loved that she took it to Biden. And had him defend his own criticisms of Obama. "You warned him" she said. Amazing. I loved it that she wouldn't necessarily accept the premise of a question, and stated that she'd answer the question as she sees it, and not necessarily the way Gwen, or Joe might want. Even more amazing. And something I haven't seen said in a debate ever. I enjoyed the debate so much that I'm probably gonna watch it again. Poor Joe, he really had no idea what was coming.
  15. Wrong. He's going to raise the capital gains tax. And considering 100 million American's own stock, I'm not sure how he claims he's only rasing taxes on the "rich." Back to Biden. "You can't walk into a 7/11 without a slight Indian accent. I'm serious." Stay classy Joe Biden.
  16. Speaking of the VP debate. Here's a great new ad from the McCain campaign featuring Joe Biden.
  17. I agree. And don't forget about the wooden arrows too.
  18. It's clearly a conflict of interest. And if some of you removed your partisan coloured glasses, you'd recognize it. It's common sense.
  19. Nope. You don't know whether or not someone will live a life of suffering or not. And again, that's not a circumstance that should be used as to whether or not someone is allowed to live or die. You guys are beating a dead horse. But at least that horse had a chance to live.
  20. I don't care where they end up, because it has absolutely no relevance to someone's right to life. You people just don't get it. Somebody's right to life has nothing to do with anyone else's actions or inactions. The fact that unborn babies, with beating hearts are being destroyed, isn't determined to be just, because somebody somewhere doesn't fund a government program, or don't care about them after they're born. It really shouldn't be this difficult to understand. The same can be said of any baby up to age of 5. That's all probably true. But it's still no basis on deciding whether somebody lives or not. You people are stuck on stupid. So to sum up the pro-choice view as has been stated by the above individuals. It's alright to kill unborn babies, because the circumstances they may be born into, aren't necessarily ideal.
  21. You're right, I also thought of Jesus Camp, which also creeped me out. And you're also right about Obama being a state of being. And this ridiculous display supports your premise. I've also had a difficult time getting onboard the Obama love train. I'm not sure if it's because of his vacuous campaign theme, or the fact that I'm a "typical white person" (Obama's words), bitter and clinging to my religion and guns.
  22. Exactly. At best, it's a conflict of interest. And well, this doesn't help her credibility either. The host of PBS’ “Washington Week” and senior correspondent on “The NewsHour” said she did not tell the Commission on Presidential Debates about the book. The commission had no immediate comment when contacted by The Associated Press MSNBC I guess she didn't think it was important enough to divulge.
  23. Looks like Gwen Ifill is the moderator for the Vice Presidential Debate. And suprise, suprise, she's totally in the tank for Obama. Has anyone else noticed that the mainstream media aren't even trying to pretend to be objective journalists anymore? It's like they've decided that Obama must be elected at all cost, so they're going to put their heads down, and drive to that goal, and clean up the image mess after the election. It's truely unbelievable. Amazon
  24. It's hard not to watch and think, what the f***? However, here's the link, enjoy!
