  1. Sounds like you're talking about Barack Obama!
  2. Nonsense. First, there was nothing about the ad that involved pedophiles. And second, please explain the so-called lies of his outstanding VP pick. Barack Obama wants science-based sex education for kindergartners YouTube Democratic Candidates Say They're OK With Second-Grade Teacher Reading Gay Prince Fairy Tale A fairy tale about two princes falling in love sparked a backlash — and a lawsuit — against a teacher and a school last year when it was read to a second-grade class in Massachusetts. But the three frontrunners in the Democratic presidential race suggested Wednesday night at their debate in New Hampshire that they’d support reading the controversial book to children as part of a school curriculum. Link Those are facts, not lies. Obama finds it absolutely appropriate to introduce homosexuality and lesbianism into the curriculum of kindergarten, grade 1, and grade 2. If he holds those positions, fine, but he's got to know that people will disagree with him, and he'll be expected to defend his decisions.
  3. Big deal. His burn rate is ridiculous, so he needs to raise at least that much per month, to keep significant cash on hand, and to make up for the huge advantage the RNC has in money over the DNC. A registered voter, doesn't necessarily equate to an actually voter. That's why Obama usually leads in polls reflecting registered voters, where McCain leads in polls reflecting likely voters. And one cannot forget about the hundreds of thousands of Repbulican voters that crossed over to register as Democrats in order to vote for Hillary Clinton. Don't worry, Obama's gonna lose fair and square in November.
  4. Don't you love discussing American politics with someone who has never heard of the Bradley Effect? Especially since it was so easily observed during the Democratic primary elections. It's like talking to a brick wall.
  5. Wow, it would be great if the discussion was centered on the issues, and not her teenage daughter, or Downs' son, or her mothering capabilities. Unfortunately, you were one of the many who dove head first in the fray. Methinks thou doth protest too much.
  6. Just a question for everyone. How exactly was John Edwards qualified to be President in 2004?
  7. Most every day mother's aren't hyper-partisan. So I don't think the comparison is apt. You're exactly right, but for the reasons why they hate her. She's a strong and independent woman, but she doesn't worship at the alter of extreme liberalism. For instance, she rejects the left's most revered sacrament, which is abortion. That alone makes her enemy number one.
  8. There is no single meaning of the Bush doctrine. In fact, there have been four distinct meanings, each one succeeding another over the eight years of this administration -- and the one Charlie Gibson cited is not the one in common usage today. It is utterly different. He asked Palin, "Do you agree with the Bush doctrine?" She responded, quite sensibly to a question that is ambiguous, "In what respect, Charlie?" Sensing his "gotcha" moment, Gibson refused to tell her. After making her fish for the answer, Gibson grudgingly explained to the moose-hunting rube that the Bush doctrine "is that we have the right of anticipatory self-defense." Wrong. I know something about the subject because, as the Wikipedia entry on the Bush doctrine notes, I was the first to use the term. In the cover essay of the June 4, 2001, issue of the Weekly Standard entitled, "The Bush Doctrine: ABM, Kyoto, and the New American Unilateralism," I suggested that the Bush administration policies of unilaterally withdrawing from the ABM treaty and rejecting the Kyoto protocol, together with others, amounted to a radical change in foreign policy that should be called the Bush doctrine. Then came 9/11, and that notion was immediately superseded by the advent of the war on terror. In his address to the joint session of Congress nine days after 9/11, President Bush declared: "Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists. From this day forward any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime." This "with us or against us" policy regarding terror -- first deployed against Pakistan when Secretary of State Colin Powell gave President Musharraf that seven-point ultimatum to end support for the Taliban and support our attack on Afghanistan -- became the essence of the Bush doctrine. Until Iraq. A year later, when the Iraq war was looming, Bush offered his major justification by enunciating a doctrine of preemptive war. This is the one Charlie Gibson thinks is the Bush doctrine. Washington Post Some of you are still stuck on stupid, still sensing a gaffe. Get over it, it's done, it's over, and she's still around. Deal with it.
  9. Which is also supported by Palin wins over Obama women.
  10. Exactly how is being down by a couple of points, pulling even? And what evidence do you have that connects it to Sarah Palin? Go take a look at what the polls were like before the convention and before the Palin selection. Also, go take a look at what the electoral vote counts were as well. Go take a look at McCain's Republican support compared to now, and go take a look at his support from Independents, and women, compared to now. You'll find a significant shift. Nice try though.
  11. Is that referring to more of your phantom polls?
  12. Fully 47 percent say Obama lacks the proper experience — an even worse reading than the 36 percent who had the same criticism about McCain running mate Sarah Palin, serving her second year as Alaska governor after being a small-town mayor AP
  13. I agree, I can't recall a more enthusiastic reception for a VP candidate. However, I do recall the same type of enthusiasm for an even lighterweight candidate, for President. His name is Barack Obama.
  14. She's one of us': Palin wins over Obama women Jessica Goral had pretty much made up her mind two weeks ago: she was going to vote for Barack Obama. Then John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running-mate. “She empowers a lot of women,” said Mrs Goral, a mother of two in Macomb County – a national bellwether in the battleground state of Michigan and an area rich in white, working-class swing voters who will play an important role in deciding the election in November. “I like that she’s a brand new mother, and that she has the courage to stand behind her pregnant daughter. She relates to working women. For all of us who have children at home but have to go to work every day – she has given us a sense that we can still do it and can be an excellent mum,” she said. “Sarah Palin is a role model. She’s made me more likely to vote Republican.” If Mr Obama should be in any doubt how gravely the vice-presidential nomination of the Governor of Alaska has imperilled his White House ambitions, then a day spent in Macomb County will make this clear: white women who voted for John Kerry in 2004 are suddenly deserting the Democratic Party. This is Mount Clemens, in the heart of Macomb County, where the pollster Stan Greenberg first identified the phenomenon of the Reagan Democrats – the working-class, socially conservative, traditionally Democratic whites who deserted the party for Ronald Reagan in 1980. It is fair to say that this critical swing group now has a new name: Palin Democrats. Times Online As I stated in previous threads. Obama's only REAL choice was Hillary Clinton. This just proves that my political instincts are golden. If this amounts to any kind of trend, Obama's finished, and could go down as the biggest loser ever to walk the political landscape.
  15. You're so right. Is there such thing as Palin Derangement Syndrome yet?
  16. You Palin haters are the Mohammad Atta's of threads. this is suppose to be reserved for favourite RNC quotes. Go hate on her in another thread, there's already plenty of them you've spread your filth in.
  17. Is it possible for one to apologize to one's self? I must also disagree. Obama's clearly the Messiah, not The Annointed One. "The rise of the oceans will begin to slow, and the planet will begin to heal." - Barack Obama I'm also hoping for lightning bolts out of his ass!
  18. Please don't feed the troll.
  19. You're exactly right. It's hard to paint someone as just another Bush/Cheney, when the so-called "Bush Doctrine" isn't supremely evident to them. I'm not sure what Charles Gibson meant by it either. Is referring to pre-emptive military action? Is he referring to the supporting and spreading of democracy within the middle-east and elswhere? Is he referring to both? He definitely should have been more specific. This reminds me of Al Gore asking George W Bush if he supports the Dingle/Norwood legislation during the 2000 Presidential debates, and is about as significant of a soundbite.
  20. Well then, what does it say about the group of you, who've disrespected Sarah Palin by much more then just mispronouncing her name? Shall I link to the vagina comment? Do us all a huge favour, and try and be at least a little consistent with your "outrage".
  21. You're absolutely right. And it's even more rich coming from the Obama campaign, considering they hid behide race to deflect attacks during the Democratic primary campaign. Obama, as well as his willing accomplices in the media, connected practically every criticism of Obama as racist. Case in point, Bob Herbert of the New York Times, who argued that McCain's celebrity ad was racist, because it featured two white women (Britney Spears and Paris Hilton) after the image of a so-called phallic symbol (the Victory Column in Germany). The Obama campaign, hoisted on their own petard!
  22. Obama's infamous "lipstick on a pig" comment YouTube You stay classy Barack!
  23. Mike Gravel, the voice of reason???
  24. I'm sure you see him asking tougher questions than "field dressing a moose". Would you like to wager? How about say, $500 just to make things interesting?
