The Democrats Are In HUGE Trouble
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It's clearly an outlier. They even say so themselves. Though most polls are showing the New Jersey governor’s race to be dead even between incumbent Democratic Governor Jon Corzine and former U.S. Attorney and Republican challenger Chris Christie Btw, how's Deeds doing in Virginia? -

Or Obama. He admitted to using cocaine in his book, when he was younger. -
President Obama ties George W. Bush on golf
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You're exactly right. Personally, I don't have a problem with him golfing. I think President's should have the right to get away from things, even for just a short while every so often, to ease stress, or to think. FDR used to people over to the White House on a daily basis for cocktails, and forbode anyone to speak of the war during that hour or so. I just wish the media would treat everyone equal and be consistent with their criticism or lack of. -
Big day for Hoffman after Palin endorsement: $116K Link Hoffman Surges Into Lead in NY-23 Washington - A poll released today by the Club for Growth shows Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman surging into the lead in the special election in New York's 23rd congressional district to replace John McHugh, the former congressman who recently became Secretary of the Army. Link And just imagine. Somebody in this forum claimed Sarah Palin would be irrelevant. Worst prediction ever!!! And stay tuned for her upcoming appearance on Oprah. Where no doubt she'll continue to be irrelevant!

Tories to crack down on parole for non-violent offenders
Shady replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes, that was your basic premise. Like I've said before, if it helps, think of prison construction as stimulus shovel-ready jobs for unionized workers. Are you against economic stimulus? Are you against creating well-paying unionized jobs? Are you against locking up criminals? Are you against justice? -
President Barack Obama has only been in office for just over nine months, but he's already hit the links as much as President Bush did in over two years. CBS' Mark Knoller — an unofficial documentarian and statistician of all things White House-related — wrote on his Twitter feed that, "Today - Obama ties Pres. Bush in the number of rounds of golf played in office: 24. Took Bush 2 yrs & 10 months." Politico He must have so much time to play golf, because all of the foreign conflicts have been settled, and prosperity reigns throughout the homeland. Hope n change!

Geez, the Ontario Liberals are deficit machines. They've put together a shortfall that rivals the federal deficit, for just a province! Yikes. And not one penny of it can be blamed on economic stimulus spending. Sad. Where's Mike Harris when you need him?

CNN Fact Checks Saturday's SNL Obama Skit

He is also against a constitutional amendment stating the marriage is only between a man and a woman. I guess you need to learn not to jump to conclusions huh? Don't let your pre-concieved ideas lead you to incorrect assumptions. -
segnosaur, great post!

Rush Limbaugh as NFL owner?
Shady replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You could be right. Unfortunately for you, there are lots of owners in the NFL who are fat and probably smell. -
Rush Limbaugh as NFL owner?

Sounds good. It accurately reflects the strong intellectual position you argue from. -
Yes, that's probably a good idea.
-
That's complete nonsense. However, if you actually meant balancing the budget, cutting people's taxes, creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs, improving Ontario's credit-rating, paying off billions of dollars of provincial debt, and turning around the province after the disasterous Ray Days, then yes.

His only chance is to try and blame it on the previous administration. Unfortunately, the expiration date on that excuse is fast approaching. The Dems have controlled all of congress for almost 3 years now. And they've held every branch of the elected federal government for close to a year. So it's a rather difficult task. I do not envy him.

Rush Limbaugh as NFL owner?
Shady replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
No need to apologize, my vision is quite good. You're quite right, they can't make him go away. He's a private citizen, working in the private sector. So damn straight they can't make him go away. Not really. When they grow up, I'm sure they'll figure it out. And btw, Rush isn't fat, he's lost nearly 80 lbs over the last year. So you'll have to come with a new, highly intelligent insult. Maybe stupidhead??? -
CNN Fact Checks Saturday's SNL Obama Skit
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You're obviously lying. Cheney is a supporter of so-called same-sex marraige, and has never "railed" about it. Clearly you have your facts wrong. Swing and a miss! -
Let's not forget about White guilt when discussing Obama's election as President. It was also a significant factor.

In fact, the 9-point drop in the most recent quarter is the largest Gallup has ever measured for an elected president between the second and third quarters of his term, dating back to 1953 Gallup -
Rush Limbaugh as NFL owner?
Shady replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
How is he repugnant? And you're right, he can't be unelected, because he hasn't been elected in the first place. -
The table below compares the White House's February 2009 projection of the number of jobs that would be created by the 2009 stimulus law (through the end of 2010) with the actual change in state payroll employment through September 2009 (the latest figures available). According to the data, 49 States and the District of Columbia have lost jobs since stimulus was enacted. Only North Dakota has seen net job creation following the February 2009 stimulus. While President Obama claimed the result of his stimulus bill would be the creation of 3.5 million jobs, the Nation has already lost a total of 2.7 million – a difference of 6.2 million jobs. Pic

Exactly. As well as McLean's for printing a Mark Steyn piece, which had some critical things to say about radical Islam. The so-called Human Rights Tribunals.

Or, perhaps you do!

Rush Limbaugh as NFL owner?
Shady replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Well, I never said he was just an entertainer. So maybe you should continue that particular conversation with the Rush fan you referenced. He's definitely entertaining, and uses quite a bit of satire during his show. But he's much more than that. And unfortunately, people already listen to Hollywood's opnion on political issues. That's nothing new. -
And apparently your quote means you also condone rape! Who knew?
