They had to, because their companies were going bankrupt. However, up until that point, before they had no choice, GM was the largest private purchaser of Viagra. And boner medication added $1500 per car to the total cast of a vehicle. I'll kindly ask you again to stop lying. Toyota doesn't have the same costs as GM. And Toyota won't have the same legacy/retirement costs as GM, because Toyota isn't bound by the same pension obligations as GM. Cut the lying crap. And to further illustrate my point, in 2007, General Motors sold more cars than Toyota. GM sales in 2007: 9,370,000 vehicles Toyota sales in 2007: 9,366,418 vehicles Now let's look at profit. GM profit/loss in 2007: -$38,730,000,000 (-$4,055 per car) Toyota profit in 2007: +$17,146,000,000 (+$1,874 per car) Can you imagine outselling a competitor by 4000 vehicles, but losing $36 billion dollars? While your competitor earns $17 billion? Thank you UAW/CAW.

BBC Worldwide Poll: Capitalism Losing Favor
Shady replied to Vancouver King's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No, the regulations were in place. Government fostered the skirting of them, for liberal feel-good ideas involving so-called affordable housing. Millions of homes were purchased by people who wouldn't otherwise qualifty. Don't blame capitalism, blame the government's infringment into it. -
And once again you'd be wrong. But go ahead. Say it a third, fourth and fifth time, adding to the tally of your incorrectness.

I have to agree as well. Dobbs was concerned about millions of illegal immigrants entering the United States on a yearly basis. Only a complete idiot would fail to recognize the severity of this problem. But because of Liberal dishonesty as to blur the entirely different concepts of legal vs illegal immigration, he was branded anti-immigrant, and anti-hispanic.

BBC Worldwide Poll: Capitalism Losing Favor
Shady replied to Vancouver King's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
What's with the myth of unrestricted markets? Markets are restricted up the ass. Part of what led to the worldwide recession was the regulated mortgage markets in the United States, skirting proper regulations in order for people to recieve home loans that wouldn't otherwise qualify, all under the guise of affordable housing. This whole thread premise is a joke. -
These protesters are an embarassement to Canada. But what else would anyone expect from a Province filled with WWII German sympathizers? I'm sick of Quebec and everyone who calls it their home. On a side note, I'd also like to see Canada break away from the Monarchy.

And he really seemed to like the strip clubs. Just like the 9/11 hijackers. -
The Democrats Are In HUGE Trouble
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
If you don't learn from history, you're doomed to repeat it. I think you mentioned that Corzine was up by almost double digits in the so-called last poll out before the election. How'd that turn out, I haven't been able to read up on the outcome? Oh, and how'd Deeds do in Virginia? Obama turned that state blue back last november, and many proclaimed it to be a generational shift in the electoral map. Ahhh, it's a good time to be a conservative. -
The Fort Hood terrorist attack is by far the worst attack on American soil since 9/11. Since that course altering day, the Bush Administration, under unbelievably vile attack and misrepresention of their tools put in place to fight terrorism, kept the country safe for 8 straight years. Since his inauguration, President Obama has been chipping away at many Bush era intelligence tools, that were used successfully over the last several years, to prevent such attacks from taking place. Obama has eroded such powers, and it seems to me, has failed to protect the American people. Instead, he's implemented the same failed policy of categorizing these actions to fall under law enforcement activity, despite that being one of the failures of the pre-9/11 mindset and operations and procedures. If, and it's a big if. But if another, even just similar type terrorist attack takes place over the next year or tow, Obama's time as a political leader is over. He will look weak, and impotent, and American voters will send him out of office faster than his politically and ideological equivalent, Jimmy Carter. Mr. President. One more failing like the incident in Fort Hood, and you're finished.

The Democrats Are In HUGE Trouble
Shady replied to Shady's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Before reading the rest of my post, please make sure THIS is playing in the background. Republicans Edge Ahead of Democrats in 2010 Vote, Registered voters prefer Republicans for the House, 48% to 44%: Republicans have moved ahead of Democrats by 48% to 44% among registered voters in the latest update on Gallup’s generic congressional ballot for the 2010 House elections, after trailing by six points in July and two points last month. Gallup And... A Year Out, Widespread Anti-Incumbent Sentiment: Only about a third (34%) of registered voters say they think most members of Congress should be re-elected next year, which is on par with ratings during the 1994 and 2006 elections. Meanwhile, just 52% of voters say they want to see their own member re-elected, approaching levels in early October 2006 (50%) and 1994 (49%). Pew Research Next November is gonna be fuuuuuuuunnnnnnn! -

Anyways, back to the topic. It looks like the mainstream media is finally dropping the "post tramatic stress sydrome/we don't really know why the shooter did what he did" theme. -
Nope, not at all. I'm just illustrating how off the rails GM was taken by Unions. Paying tens of millions of dollars a year on Viagra has little to do with manufacturing and selling automobiles. Message to the UAW/CAW: Buy your own boner medication! You're either lying or misinformed. Toyota does not have the same costs as GM. Look it up. You're either lying or misinformed. Toyota doesn't operate under the same ridiculous UAW/CAW union obligations. Look it up. GM Spends $17 Million Per Year on Viagra Lifestyle drugs -- chiefly Viagra -- are costing General Motors $17 million dollars a year and the cost is passed along to car, truck and SUV consumers. The blue pill is covered under GM's labor agreement with United Auto Workers, as well as benefit plans for salaried employees. GM executives estimate health care adds $1,500 to the price of each vehicle Consumer Affairs In other words, if anyone purchased a GM vehicle over the last several years, they were financing union member boner medication. Pathetic. And they wonder why they don't have jobs anymore?

I just read a great point related to Obama and the Fort Hood shooting. President Obama's response to abortionist George Tiller was “I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller.” President Obama’s response to the slaughter of 13 Americans by a Muslim at a U.S. military installation was to instruct Americans not to “jump to any conclusions.” -
Not nearly enough. I've seen it with my own eyes while in line at airports. We waste time with random searches, as if we face a threat from older asian women for example.

Of course, it was for research. Sounds just like all the pedophiles who get caught with child pornography say. It was for research. How about instead, joining the rest of us in the real world. How about respecting the dead by telling the truth as to why they died? You're still confined and corrupted by political correctness, even with the memories of this attack still fresh in everyone's minds. Shame on you. -

Shady replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It was factored in, because like it or not, it's a factor. That's the whole point, to accept it, and stop ignoring the giant gun-shooting, God-is-great shouting elephant in the room. -
What you consider "success" isn't sustainable, and in most cases, is anti-business, and anti-economic growth. Unions turned GM into the largest private purchaser of Viagra in the world. That's what Unions do now. They slowly destroy the industry that provided for their ascendancy. They act as parasites on a host, either not knowing or not caring that they're biting the hand that feeds them. The Ford plant in St. Thomas is just another example.

It looks as though political correctness played a large part in this tragedy. PC'd to death: The Army must give answers "His fellow students complained to the faculty about Hasan's 'anti-American propaganda,' but said a fear of appearing discriminatory against a Muslim student kept officers from filing a formal written complaint," The Associated Press reported over the weekend. Link I really think it's now time for those of you on the political left, to write the families of the dead and wounded. And apologize for contributing to the PC environment which directly led to tragic incident at Fort Hood. -

Nope, not at all. If you read my previous post, it contained two other, seperate references to the same theme. "Gosh, I really wish this guy wasn't a Muslim." What they're really saying is "gosh, I wish I could hold on to the fake illusion I have of the world." The mainstream media needs to stick to reporting facts, not proselytizing their dreams and wishes. -
This is complete nonsense. Attacks like 9/11 don't happen to Israel because their security programs do something we refuse to do. Profile. If you fit a certain profile, you will never board an Israeli airline. And it seems to me, that the several instances of the surrounding Arab countries going to war with Israel would be considered a step up from a 9/11 style attack. But I guess you don't think so.

You're posting old and completely outdated information. It'd be like posting a report now that on Sept 11th, a small commuter plan accidentally crashed into Tower #1. It's old, and inaccurate. Nope, not at all. It wasn't just Martha Raddatz. Diane Sawyer mentioned that same thing during a seperate broadcast. It's a theme the mainstream media is running with. Add in Newsweek's Evan Thomas and NPR's Nina Totenberg. Thomas: "I cringe that he's a Muslim. I mean, because it inflames all the fears. I think he's probably just a nut case. But with that label attached to him, it will get the right wing going and it just -- I mean these things are tragic, but that makes it much worse." Totenberg: It really is tragic that he was a Muslim.” Yeah, it's just too damn bad he's a Muslim. And I'm sure, if the shooter would have been Christian, and targeting a doctor, they'd have the same kind of handwringing. "It's just too bad he was a Christian." NOT!!!!!!!!!! -
Really? I wasn't aware that the government was in the auto insurance business. What kind of rates do they charge? Maybe I'll switch.

We do. We grow a lot of fruits and vegetables. Just not in the fall and winter, unless it's indoors.
