  1. Mammogram recommendations change drastically: This scares me A government task force reversed long-standing recommendations on when women should start having mammograms and how often they should have them. According to the new standards, women should start having mammograms at age 50 rather than at 40. Link So there you have it women. Don't bother getting ANY mammograms during YOUR 40'S! Wait untill YOU'RE 50! The Obama led task force (Death Panel) says so. What will be next?
  2. Complete nonsense.
  3. Well, in your case I should. Remember when you made this glorious prediction? LOL!
  4. If it's run as poorly as Montreal was, then it won't be much different at all.
  5. But you wanted it at 7%, remember?
  6. Yep, heckuva job Brownie!
  7. Oh, before I forget to ask, how's the whole "Palin's gonna be irrelevant" mantra working out for you? LOL
  8. You've entirely proved my point. The only reason AP fact-checked the death panel provision is because it involved Sarah Palin. Where was the fact-checking involved in healthcare for illegals? Or funded abortions? There wasn't, because Palin didn't directly address them as she did the panels.
  9. Obama's stimulus is his version of our gun registry. Except instead of $2 billion, it's almost a trillion. The news keeps getting worse. ABC News Exclusive: Obama Admin Slashed 60,000 Jobs From Recent Stimulus Report The Obama administration, under fire for inflating job growth from the $787 billion stimulus plan, slashed over 60,000 jobs from its most recent report on the program because the reporting outlets had submitted "unrealistic data," according to a document obtained by ABC News. Link And Recovery Board Chairman: We Can’t Certify Jobs Data at Recovery.gov The chairman of the Obama administration’s Recovery Board is telling lawmakers that he can’t certify jobs data posted at the Recovery.gov Web site -- and doesn’t have access to a “master list” of stimulus recipients that have neglected to report data. Earl Devaney, the chairman of the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, responded to questions posed by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., late yesterday to say the board can’t vouch for the numbers submitted by recipients of stimulus funding. Link
  10. But it is. AP is fact-checking Palin's book, but has yet to doing anything similar in regards to Obamacare. Why can't you see that?
  11. That's not what I'm saying. But you're still refusing to answer anything I asked. Pathetic.
  12. Dems alarmed as independents bolt A Gallup Poll released last week offered a disturbing glimpse about the state of play: just 14 percent of independents approve of the job Congress is doing, the lowest figure all year. In just the past few days alone, surveys have shown Democratic incumbents trailing Republicans among independent voters by double-digit margins in competitive statewide contests in places as varied as Connecticut, Ohio and Iowa. Obama’s own popularity among independents has fallen significantly, too. A CBS News poll Tuesday showed the president’s approval rating among unaligned voters falling to 45 percent — down from 63 percent in April Politico It's good to see the Dems imploding.
  13. One person's definition of comprehensive welfare can be much different from anothers.
  14. Nope, not at all. In fact, there's very little that the 11 fact-ckeckers found that needed correcting. But you can't possibly defend AP for allocating such resources on a private citizen's biography vs healthcare legislation etc. Can you? If so, how and why are you so blindly partisan? Is it more important to know all of the facts regarding government legislation, or a famous persons's recently released book?
  15. AP Turns Heads for Devoting 11 Reporters to Palin Book 'Fact Check' When the former Republican vice presidential candidate and former Alaska governor wrote her autobiography, the AP found a copy before its release date and assigned 11 people to fact check all 432 pages. The treatment Palin's book received appears to be something new for the AP. The organization did not review for accuracy recent books by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, then-Sen. Joe Biden, either book by Barack Obama released before he was president or autobiographies by Bill or Hillary Clinton Link Great response from Sarah! "Imagine that," the post read. "11 AP reporters dedicating time and resources to tearing up the book, instead of using the time and resources to 'fact check' what's going on with Sheik Mohammed's trial, Pelosi's health care takeover costs, Hasan's associations, etc. Amazing." The AP, an organization with over 4,000 employees and 49 Pulitzer Prizes earned for asking the hard questions, wouldn't comment on their own reporting for this story. Aww, the AP hasn't commented on their reporting. Gee, I wonder why?
  16. Nope not at all. It's you who seems to be misinformed. I'm all for science research, just don't call it economic stimulus, and put it in a bill that's suppose to save everybody from the worst recession since the great depression. And a bill that's suppose to set a foundation for new real economic growth. And don't pretend jobs are being created when they're not. And don't pretend giving people pay raises counts as job growth. It's about honesty, and priorities. You seem to have neither.
  17. Yes, 'typos'... Taxpayers Fund Research on Bugs, College Sex Lives, Facebook, and Rabbit Droppings with Stimulus Bill $300,000 FOR MAPPING RADIOACTIVE RABBIT FECES $4,200-$5,500 TAX CREDIT FOR PURCHASING GOLF CARTS $219,000 TO STUDY THE SEX LIVES OF FEMALE COLLEGE FRESHMEN <-- I'd do this one for free $1 MILLION TO RENOVATE THE SUNSET STRIP $2.3 MILLION FOR BUG RESEARCH IN CONNECTICUT $6 MILLION FOR A SNOWMAKING FACILITY IN THE 15th SNOWIEST CITY IN THE COUNTRY $500,000 TO STUDY SOCIAL NETWORKS LIKE FACEBOOK $380,000 TO SPAY AND NEUTER PETS IN WICHITA, KANSAS $3.4 MILLION FOR A TURTLE TUNNEL IN FLORIDA $30 MILLION FOR A SPRING TRAINING BASEBALL COMPLEX FOR THE ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS AND COLORADO ROCKIES CNS News Ladies and Gentlemen, your American tax dollars at work. Actually, not even tax dollars, more like $800 billion dollars borrowed from the Chinese, in order, and I quote the Messiah, to put America on a new path and foundation for longterm real economic growth. With this inexcusable waste and abuse? Barack 'Slick Willy Tricky Dick' Obama has been more irresponsible than any other President in American history, and he's only been in office for a year. God help us all. However, maybe I'm being too harsh. Perhaps Bubber is right. Things are going well, the stimulus is working great, and O-BA-MAO knows what's best for all of us.
  18. That excuse for his incompentence and malfeasance is getting old. It's getting to the point where Obama could walk up to someone and punch him in the face, and if one questioned the incident, it would somehow be characterized as derangement from you and your ilk. So taxpayers shouldn't be bothered that he's claiming jobs created in districts that don't even exists? And taxpayers shouldn't be bothered that he's claiming jobs saved or created from stimulus money given to employees as raises? Get real.
  19. Just when you think this Administration can't get any worse, you have stories like these... Exclusive: Jobs 'Saved or Created' in Congressional Districts That Don't Exist Here's a stimulus success story: In Arizona's 15th congressional district, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that's what the Web site set up by the Obama administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says. Discrepancies on government web site call into question stimulus spending. There's one problem, though: There is no 15th congressional district in Arizona; the state has only eight districts. ABC News And Salary raise counted as saved job WASHINGTON — The government's latest count of stimulus jobs significantly overstates the effects of the $787 billion program under a popular federal preschool program, raising fresh questions about the process the Obama administration is using to tout the success of its economic recovery plan. An Associated Press review of the latest stimulus reports — which the White House promised would undergo extensive reviews to ensure accuracy — found that more than two-thirds of 14,506 jobs credited to the recovery act under spending by just one federal office were overstated because they counted pay increases for existing workers as jobs saved The Bergen County Community Action Program in Hackensack, N.J., noted the nearly $213,000 it received went to cover raises for existing staff only. But it also reported saving 85 jobs. AP What a joke. This guy Obama is a bad combination of Slick Willy Clinton, and Tricky Dick Nixon. You literally can't trust a single word outta that guys mouth, or his teleprompter.
  20. That's to be expected. He already snubbed the Dali Lama a couple of months ago at China's request. But at least we have a leader in government in Stephen Harper, who stood on principles and refused to attend the Summer Olympic games.
  21. That's exactly what I stated. That's for the review. Actually, it'd probably be much larger. Actually, everyone's income would be much larger, if government stuck to upholding the law, and providing security and national defense. Why is that? That would be breaking the laws of our country. And your Medieval Lord example is also government! LOL.
  22. Exactly. Maybe it's his new government version of prima nocta?
  23. What's really ironic, is that the same people in this forum that are so "concerned" about the HST, were completely against Harper lowering the GST.
  24. Yes, I would say at the very least it's an accepted expenditure. You're mistaken. My response was a response to the claim that there is no voice on taxation. Which simply isn't true. Also, just to clear things up, I never said I was against welfare. I was simply stating that perhaps drug and tobacco testing may be a benefit. And that somehow welfare recipients are a great service to the economy and one's stock portfolio, which is complete nonsense. Taking money from someone who earns it, filtering it through an inefficient bureaucracy, that then distributes it back out, isn't good economics and is absurd to suggest so.
  25. If it was a minute to honor Che Guevara he'd probably be all for it. As well as the 25% who did nothing.
