Perhaps if it was tied to cost of living and/or inflation.  But pulling a number out of your butt because it sounds good is not good policy.  Treating all businesses like they’re large businesses is not good policy.  $15 dollars in New York is not the same as $15 dollars in Omaha.  Furthermore, increasing taxes on businesses takes away revenue for wages.  Importing millions of unskilled workers every year floods the market with labour and depressed wages for lower skilled workers.  Maybe try stop doing all of that, and I might entertain some kind of minimum wage.  But a national minimum wage is bad policy.  States, just like provinces should control that process.  One size fits all policy is not productive.  Also, eliminating good paying union jobs by fiat like pipelines should stop as well.  Stop killing jobs you don’t like.  It’s fascist.

I like how Conservatives are cool with Union Jobs when they contribute to pollution. 

The problem with wages is that they haven't been tied to inflation. They've been stagnant for years while the cost of everything has gone up except average wages comparatively.  

$15/hour would only be a good starting point for many places. 

$15 is almost $20 Canadian.  You’re insane if you think we should raise our minimum wage that high at a time when many businesses have been unable to open because of covid.  Most are hemorrhaging money and people like you want to raise their labour costs by 100%.  You’re an economic illiterate.  Real wage growth doesn’t come from government decreed, it comes from profits but most importantly demand for labour.  Which people like you flood the supply and depress wages by making labour less valuable with you stupid policies.  You’re good intentions will kill jobs and kill businesses.  But you don’t care, it’s all about virtue signalling and symbolism.  Btw, wages rose during Trumps term as president.  Biden’s minimum wage hike will cost millions of jobs at a time when businesses are most fragile.  I swear you people are retarded.  Or just don’t care.

It's funny too, because these people only squawk when Texas has power problems after a severe storm.  When California, or Puerto Rico, or New Jersey, or New York, etc have power problems after a severe storm their silent.  When Ontario and Quebec and days long power outages during the ice storm a few years back, these people were also silent.  It's more hypocrisy.  It's all they know.
