  1. Not sure what teachers have to do with Gas. But complaining about working conditions is a cottage industry for teachers.
  2. Says the person who's believing all of the Putin propaganda. How does it feel supporting a global pariah state? Ukraine will never come under Russian control.
  3. Some good news. Baseball is back.

  4. Which ones aren't stupid. If they're in NATO they're all compelled to sing from the same songbook if one is attacked. Sure. But you were making an argument about Nukes being put up against Russian borders. NATO already has t I've heard anywhere from 5-10k Russian dead. Those are unsustainable losses, especially when they hope to occupy a nation of 44 mil the size of Northern Ontario. Because he should have surrendered? Ukraine appears to be rallying around him. We also wouldn't because we're already an independent nation. Google Bay of Pigs. And I doubt it's as weak as the tripe you're consuming from RT. Ukraine is handling this war well from a military perspective. With a lot of help from NATO. Miscalculation by Russia. They can and they are. But they're also shooting evacuating civilians, not a good look.
  5. Only because Oil is a Global commodity. Not because the US needs Russian Oil. They could get Oil from Iran, if they lifted all those sanctions. "Stay Out" seems to be very subjective. Cite how Vaccine mandates have added to the price of fuel.
  6. Seems most are onboard. Especially the ones closest to Russia. Latvia and Estonia are NATO states that and share a border as well. Dumb argument. LOL keep telling yourself that. 1) Why would we. 2) Cuba is still independent (Though Kennedy did try and stop that, but failed) Would the US allow their military bases and airbases and missile silos here? Which is why Putin will lose this war. His forces will become victims of to a resistance. He's entered a Quagmire, where the only resolution is retreat or flattening the entire country. That's a guerilla insurgency, it's undefeated. AFIK
  7. If all taxes were taken off the price of Gas, we'd still be paying a relatively unaffordable price. Our current situation is 100% a result of the conflict in Ukraine. And profit taking from private companies. Carbon taxes and other excise taxes have been gradually increasing, giving people ample time to change their energy habits.
  8. That was a stupid calculation by Putin, because now he's going to see a much greater military buildup from NATO. Those Nukes could have reached Moscow with or without Ukraine. This is a re-assembling of the USSR. Ironically using Hilter's playbook. Sans the precision military. Why hasn't Russia been able to seize a single major city? Why are Russian armoured vehicles being abandoned because of weak supply lines? Way to carry water for Putin. They should just surrender to Russian rule? Guess you're not much for freedom after all. I do no think Americans should have been shooting civilians in Iraq. Do you have evidence that Ukraine soldiers are using Civilians as human shields?
  9. Especially when employers suppress wages and maximize profits. If you leave a major city for cheaper real estate, but still need to commute into work, you best be getting compensated in the bigger city for that obligation. Otherwise, taking less money and not having to commute may be the better option. If we're talking low skill blue collar work. Say warehouse work. There's no reason a job like that should require a long commute, work like that should be available locally.
  10. Blue Collar workers in trades actually make a very good living. Fewer and fewer people are willing to commute long distances if it doesn't come with good compensation. Even as we come out of the pandemic, I've noticed traffic isn't as bad as it was before. Many people are staying home. A private vehicle ultimately is a luxury, not a right.
  11. Not necessarily. Lots of SUVs on the road. Those are 40-50k new. Cheap new cars are going away. The margins are too low for car companies to justify making them. I think people need to evaluate if commuting is worth it, especially when COVID has taught us that almost all White-Collar work can be done from home.
  12. The big problem with ICE Engines is that they require so much energy to do a simple task of moving a large hunk of metal forward. It's a very inefficient technology using such an energy dense resource.
  13. I got an EV. Best decision I've ever made. I still have an ICE Hybrid, but only fill that up once every month or so. I can't imagine the stress someone who has to commute more than 50 kms each day must be going through. But honestly, if you didn't see huge price increases coming, you weren't paying attention. I remember preparing myself for $1.50/litre gas price is 2011.
  14. If they've invaded your home for no good reason you should. Ukrainians don't want to be subjugated. Apparently the Russians can't compete well against the Ukraine Military, so they're resorting to war crimes against Civilians. Pathetic Pieces of Shit.
  15. Oh like how NATO is fully supplying the Ukraine Army and Sanctioning Russia into the Dark Ages? It seems like Russians are getting slaughtered when they engage with anyone with a Gun. That's why the cowards have resorted to shelling civilians. I should watch RT for the truth right? ? Just Photoshopped by the Lamestream media right?
  16. Putin apologists, who are like "who is the US to judge how a country conducts foreign relations?" Are the same people screaming about JT being a fascist a few weeks ago.

No one really hates Russians though. They're suffering under Putin too. Putin-bots just need to try to sow hatred because that's what they do

  17. Oh so Putin has a legit reason for war? If 10,000 Russian soldiers have died, then that's a demonstration of Putin's indifference to his own people. And how insane it was to invade a country like Ukraine in 2022. But the Russians are purposely targeting Civilians now, because their infantry can't do a whole lot against a population that hates them. These Genocidal War crimes from a Genocidal leader. It's telling you're Carrying water for Putin.
  18. Blah Blah Hunter. If you think this invasion is about Hunter Biden, you're a moron. Anything the US did in Ukraine, pale in comparison to a full scale invasion and genocide.
  19. Those people chose their leader. Putin is trying to impose "a leader" on them.
  20. I know you're going to groan at this, but the "with" not "because" of metric comes into play here. Please are just dying with Omicron, and not because of it. Ontario has 55% of people Hospitalized with COVID, not because of it. 20% in the ICU are not in there because of COVID, but have it. Now you could say that this was the same dynamic that has COVID deaths in the US approaching 1 million. Do a COVID test on someone that died of a heart attack to juice the numbers. But with Omicron, it seems that the "with" not "because of" is a very relevant. This guy has become popular on the Youtubes recently, Apparently he also entertains Ivermectin so he's certainly not a vaccine/lockdown apologist. In this video he looks at deaths in Denmark. They've recently lifted ALL restrictions and have seen a spike in COVID "deaths". He digs a bit deeper to see that the "With" vs "Because" debate is relevant in Denmark. The relevant portion starts at 4:30 He highlights that in previous waves, COVID was certainly the most relevant factor in deaths where the person dies "with" COVID. Now, not so much.

At least six thousand Russians have been arrested by Putin for peacefully protesting. Some of those arrests were Canadian style.

They let them protest for 3 weeks, warned them to leave and then finally arrested then after giving them one more chance to leave peacefully?

You think you need to convince me? Big lol.

  22. Oh because insane person who's let his currency become a penny stock cares. I'm sure Putin is eager to nuke a Western Europe city if Nato jumps into the fray.
  23. In terms of Death or Hospitalization. I actually have little motivation trying to justify move to get as many people vaccinated as possible. Vaccinating people last Summer was a net benefit to people, especially in Ontario. Canada (except for obstinate Provinces like Alberta and Saskatchewan) were spared the worst of the Delta wave. The important metrics are all different now that we've moved to a more contagious but less severe version of the virus. This is all tiresome hindsight.
  24. Fixating on Hunter Biden is hilarious. I'm sure that's in the battle cry as the Russians Gallop to their deaths.
  25. First ? using Wikipedia as a source. Second One of the main reasons for this war is the popular uprising in 2014 to oust a Putin Puppet. Looks like the current leader is pretty popular for attempting to stamp out corruption.
