Trump undercuts the GOP by refusing to sign the $900b relief bill unless more aid is included.
Hiiii-larious!!!

Shady, I think you're confused as to why we find this funny.
It's great that Trump wants more money for people. But he should have probably been engaged in that process from the go and not sabotage the bill after it gets passed.
Now the GOP are faced with a choice to overruled Trump with a Veto proof majority or concede to what the Dems have been trying to get for months now.
It's lose-lose.
And good on them, the crazy-person they've been propping up for four years is now biting them.
-
We don't really know what's happened behind the scenes. The Dems haven't acted well either. They've turned the covid bill into a climate change bill, loaded with a ton of spending completely unrelated to covid. That's why Republicans didn't go along with it.

What a great man. Even on the way out he still fights for the average guy.
Magnificent... American

Trump is pocketing the money he's raising for the Georgia Senate Runoffs. LOL

Troll. LOL.

It certainly hurts the Senators chances of winning. Not that Trump cares.

I wonder if Bill Barr's replacement (Probably Rudy or Jenna Ellis) has enough time to get Hunter Indicted, Convicted and thrown in jail before January 20th.

So the day Health Canada approves the Pfizer vaccine, an initial shipment is already planned.
Not exactly the doomsday scenarios where Canada would have to wait until everyone else in the developed world gets vaccinated.
-
Are you purposely obtuse? It’s always been about quantities. How many times does that have to be stated? Jesus fucking Christ.
-
Well we're getting 250,000 doses out of the gate, and that's just from one maker. Moderna has said Canada would be close to the front of the line as well.
Clearly manufacturing in Europe isn't the obstacle it initially was thought.
So we've gone from late Q1, to January, to people starting to get the Vaccine next week.

Yesterday was the deadliest day for COVID-19 Deaths in the US. 2,800 deaths, 100,000 Hospitalized, 200,000 cases. Before they get the vaccine, it'll be a humanitarian crisis.

What’s Junior’s vaccine plan?

Sort of like how Neera Tanden's Twitter persona is being criticized from politicians who support Donald Trump?

Good idea.

Trump's plan to reduce Prescription Costs involves importing drugs from Canada. America First Indeed.

The last time the US has as many COVID-19 deaths as they recorded yesterday (Just shy of 2,200) was May 7th.
With Thanksgiving pending, those number are ready to skyrocket.

I agree. People have to do what they can, but realize that government can’t protect you better than you can protect yourself. Businesses shouldn’t be closed. In Los Angles, contact tracing showed that restaurants had bars accounted for only 3% of new cases. It’s anti science to close them down.
-
But that speaks to Canada, where mitigation is generally universal.
In the US people are denying any mitigation is required. And the numbers from the US are frightening.
This week's Thanksgiving Holiday is only going to make things exponentially worse.
-
Yep possibly. That’s why pandemics are bad. Luckily vaccines will be distributed soon. Unfortunately in Canada we’re going to have to wait quite a while.

I'm really offended that Sidney Powell isn't blaming Canada for the Trump loss. What does Serbia and Hong Kong have that we don't?

Trump has dropped all lawsuits attempting to overturn election results in Michigan. QUITTER! LOL

The Governor of Wyoming on the resurgence of COVID-19 in his state.
"We've had more businesses around the state closed by sick workers than by any of our health orders."
- Show previous comments 1 more

Lol, how would a governor know when a business closes for a while because of sick workers? Do you think businesses call the governor to let him know? Regardless, yes, it can happen, that's why it's called a pandemic. So what?
-
You probably have a lot of places forced to shut down because of an outbreak.
The idea that seeking Herd Immunity will be good for business is a fallacy. The more people get sick the less efficient the workforce will be.
-
Heard on the news yesterday about a school that had to close because so many staff were off sick with Covid. Can't remember where, maybe Ontario? Even last Spring, when we had relatively few cases in BC, my home reno was delayed by six weeks because people were sick, or were testing positive for Covid. Lots of sick people does affect businesses.

Only 17 positive cases of Influenza reported in Canada so far this year. But yeah, COVID-19 is just the flu.

What do you imagine war with China to be like?
You don't have a clue.
But suffice to say they've been at war with the West since they attacked us in Korea.
-
I suspect it would be WW3.
So I guess they can continue to de-stabilize Western Economies through disease all they want.
They're the ones that buy up all the Debt anyway.

China was once a close friend of the West...Nationalist China, that is. Sun Yat-sen, Chiang Kai-shek, Kuomintang...etc.
The Allies flew supplies over the Himalayas and fought hard on the ground the the Burma Theater...together with the Chinese. The Flying Tigers, Chindits and such...all that legend stuff resulted.
During WW2, the Communists under Mao refused to fight the Japanese for the most part...preferring instead to use their Allied given supplies to attack the Nationalists.
Today, Nationalist China has been reduced to Taiwan.
THAT is what we should encourage for China...dump the bloody Reds.

The US will exceed 250,000 Covid deaths this week. The only thing deadlier in the US is Cancer and Heart Disease.
While in Canada, the 11,000 that have died to COVID would make it the 6th deadliest thing. Strokes, Chronic Respiratory Diseases and Accidents usually kill more people than COVID has.
Globally, COVID-19 is seeing a resurgence across the board, but in countries that have taken more co-ordinated precautionary steps, the lives lost can be greatly diminished.

Deaths when compared to caseload. So when you have 1/5 of the Global cases, it's not something to brag about.
When you evaluate Deaths per capita, it's more than double Canada.
Spain, Belgium and the UK are the only developed nations with a higher death rate per capita.
And that doesn't tell the whole story because most countries had their deaths early in the pandemic. Treatment and the age of those who get the disease has lowered it, across the board.
The US is still regularly seeing more than 1,000 deaths a day. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a day or two with 2,000 deaths this week.
-
7,700 Americans died per day...before COVID.
-
Similar to other countries, many people die every day non-covid related. But the media doesn’t run daily tabulations.
