Public Health Ontario says all deaths following vaccination that are reported to public health units are thoroughly investigated, and it has so far determined in one case that vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia was a cause of death in someone who received the AstraZeneca vaccine.

There are seven other reports of death after COVID-19 vaccination that meet the provincial surveillance definition. In four, the adverse events were found to have possibly contributed to the death but were not the underlying cause, and in the remaining three the vaccine was not a cause of death.

Public Health Ontario says another 30 deaths following COVID-19 vaccination that have been reported to public health units are "persons under investigation." They don't meet the provincial surveillance definition, but investigations are underway.

"Preliminary information suggests that these events occurred in individuals with multiple co-morbidities which may be related to the cause of death," a recent Public Health Ontario report said. "There has been no association with the vaccine identified at this time."

  6. Saskatchewan is sending ICU patients to Ontario and needs the military helps with their COVID situation. This is what happens when proper COVID precautions are not taken. AND when public health measures are lifted too early.

Saskatchewan has more people hospitalized with COVID than in all of Ontario currently.

The "Big Boys" didn't because they had the supply up front.

It was a pragmatic approach to get people vaccinated ASAP. As an anti-vaxxer, I doubt you'd appreciate that. It's not required anymore, but it was prudent at the time.

      https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/mixing-vaccines-canada-1.6123155

And I know you want to ignore it, but studies have shown that it's effective.

Here's an article from your friends in Sweden.

      https://scitechdaily.com/research-shows-high-effectiveness-of-mix-and-match-covid-19-vaccines/

      Quote

People who had received a first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and received an mRNA vaccine for their second dose had a lower risk of infection compared to people who had received both doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. This is shown in a nationwide study performed by researchers at Umeå University, Sweden.

“Having received any of the approved vaccines is better compared to no vaccine, and two doses are better than one,” says Peter Nordström, professor of geriatric medicine at Umeå University. “However, our study shows a greater risk reduction for people who received an mRNA vaccine after having received a first dose of a vector-based, as compared to people having received the vector-based vaccine for both doses.”

The updated NACI guidance is based on emerging research from Spain and the United Kingdom that found mixing and matching AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines was both safe and effective at preventing COVID-19.

CBC News first reported the details of the recommendation changes Tuesday morning, based on information from sources with direct knowledge of the decision who spoke on condition of anonymity. The details of the shift in guidance were confirmed publicly by officials from the Public Health Agency of Canada during a news conference Tuesday afternoon.

I'm not sure why you're upset for people who eagerly took the AZ vaccine ASAP.

You just want to complain about something? There certainly no mandate at the time and short of some isolated cases of blood clots, the AZ vaccine still has proven to be quite safe. ALSO everyone who took the AZ vaccine knew the risk at the time.

And for the unvaccinated as well. The vaccine doesnt save you once you get covid, but certain drugs will.

Sure, but Merk is profiteering. If I was Health Canada, I wouldn't buy the drug at that price.

Which speaks to the weakness in the American Healthcare model.

And the vaccine does save you if you get a breakthrough infection. It almost eliminates severe sickness and death even if you get infection.

We don’t need to invest anything in oil and gas.  We just don’t need to arbitrarily burden the industry.  Investing in battery development is fine.  Tesla’s already doing that.  As are other companies.  It’s not an either or.  That’s a false choice.

  17. SCIENCE!!!! Canadian Medical Association Study.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/delta-variant-impact-study-1.6200066

    Quote

Among delta cases, they found a 108 per cent increased risk for hospitalization, 235 per cent increased risk for ICU admission and 133 per cent increased risk for death compared to the original virus strain.

    Quote

The study found people infected with variants of concern were significantly younger and less likely to have comorbidities than those with non-variant infections, and the increased risk of adverse outcomes from variants persisted even after researchers adjusted for age, sex, comorbidities and other factors.

    Quote

Fisman said one of the main reasons delta didn't devastate its way through Canada the same way it did in India was because the variant emerged here just as vaccinations were ramping up.

The study doesn’t say anything about who was selected.  Was it older sicker people vs healthier.  The fact is, depending on your health, covid will affect you very differently.  You Branch Covidians still refuse to accept that scientific fact.  And you still refuse to acknowledge natural immunity.  A scientific fact.  But then you pretend to rely on science.   You discount non peer reviewed studies because they go against your religion, but then post flawed non peer reviewed studies that support your zealotry.  You people need professional help.
