Can you cite any of that or is this just your humble opinion?

Sorry meant, non-fairweather fan is a synonym for sucker. If the Leafs are out of it, I have better things to watch on a Tuesday Night.
-
Then it's also a synonym for sucker. The reason the Toronto Maple Leafs had been horrible more than they've been good in recent decades is because people will support them no matter what.

People should live next door to where they work. This is what the Left constantly preaches. IMHO Gridlock is a good thing if you think about it. People are going to work every morning. Notice gridlock is far less a problem during the summer and March Break? If someone chooses to live in Buttbleep No Where and work Downtown, they SHOULD expect to encounter traffic if they're traveling at rush hour. There are already transit solutions to get a cross the region in the GTA, they usually take more time and cost more than just taking a car, people make the choice to drive or make the choice to live close to where they work. Most of the Big Move proposals deal with inter region transit assisting people that already use transit. Do you think this Scarborough Subway is going to make someone that currently drives suddenly take transit? I doubt it.

The CD Howe study is a load of crap. I commented on it in the Ontario Transit thread. They contend that gridlock makes people less likely to choose to commute across communities in the GTA. No Shit! But people doing that contributes to gridlock. Chicken or Egg? Those are the choices people who advocate for transit want people to make. They would say it helps the economy if someone drives from say Oakville to Oshawa to do some sort of business but because of traffic, they won't. And that's costing people money. The point is, they shouldn't be. Try to commute less not more. That's the bill of goods the government keeps trying to sell us. The CD Howe study flies in the face of that sentiment. Also adding to the Sales Tax, Gas Tax and Train station parking is going to take money from people's pockets just the same so you're not exactly helping the economy by doing that kind of stuff.

The reason the Astros got a "zero" isn't because of the changing landscape of television watching habits. It's because the 2013 Houston Astros are historically one of the worst baseball teams in the history of the sport. Conversely every week the NFL gets ratings historically comparable to anything in the history Network and Cable television viewing.
-
I find ratings like opinion polls. All BS. So under 600 people in the 4th largest city in the US is somehow representative of popular TV watching habits? I don't buy it.

I think an argument could be made that a Subway into a Suburb that doesn't REALLY need it won't really benefit the national economy. A smarter move would be to kick in Federal funds to get a Yonge Street Relief Line going. I'll totally go to with BD here. This is political pandering at it's worst. And Ford will likely reap the benefits. He's got all 3 levels of government playing his SUBWAY SUBWAY SUBWAY game. Apparently a Star columnist compared Scarborough to Quebec today.
-
The Feds can't govern how the money they give is spent. Regardless that doesn't have anything to do with the Scarborough Subway. I'll conceded the Feds are simply looking to help their man Robbie Ford out.

You should ask the Chiefs of those reserves that roll in Cadillacs.

This is like a Porno Orgy of Fighting. If I was Kessel I'd have used my stick as a Lousiville Slugger on that sasquatch too. Who tries to fight the other team's top forward in a pre-season game? Way to make a debut in Toronto David Clarkson. :-/ Doing what he did apparently comes with an automatic 10-game suspension.
-
I know you're trolling but the money the Feds agreed to provide is Infrastructure money any community is eligible to apply for.
-
Glen Murray thought that was their attitude. Turned out to completely wrong.
-
So the Fed are going to kick in some cake. http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/transportation/2013/09/23/ottawa_pledges_660m_for_scarborough_subway.html Make Glen Murray look like an absolute fool for what he did last month.
-
I would agree but none of which were explored by the controversial tweets. It's a false comparison.
-
Most people also have to good sense to make their Facebook page private and only allow a pre-approved list of people to see their posts and photos.
-
I don't believe that matters all that much in Twitter thanks to the infamous ReTweet. An NFL player recently hot into heap of trouble because he was recorded at a concert dropping an N-bomb. Privacy doesn't mean what it used to mean.

I think we should call into question his judgement if he actually think the American version of the Office is better than Seinfield.

Well that was the initial goal of Metrolinx. To unify the region's transit systems so you don't have to make your way through 3 transit services just to get downtown. Under the Liberals they've been a money pit. At least toll those lanes, which is one of the Big Move proposals I agree with. Right now the HOV lanes are a waste.
-
He has his own plans for Transit and will have to lay them out in an election campaign same with the NDP. I highly doubt his transit policy is "Screw it" You can blame Ford, Stintz and all for that, but if the Province didn't feel the same pressure from the people of Scarborough they wouldn't have ran a candidate in the recent bi-elections as the "Subway Champion". Well that's the thing. Who's calling the shots? The province or Metrolinx? Clearly Metrolinx wasn't really consulted when Glen Murray did his 2-stop subway proposal a few weeks ago. I'm just saying that the there are ways to reduce congestion in the burbs that don't involve massive rail-lines being built where people don't really need it. Imagine the reduced traffic if the HOV lanes were simply an extra lane to help with congestion. Cuz right now they sit empty during rush hour while the other lanes are crawling along.

EI: The tools at the University of St. Mary's http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2013/09/17/saint_marys_university_grad_returns_degrees_in_anger_over_sexist_chant.html Boys will be boys thought right?
-
But who says transit can't be built without shoveling lots of new money towards the money pit that's Metrolinx? They can't even agree on a short subway line in Scarborough but everyone is supposed to take a real hit on their disposable income to fund transit in places where it's not practical yet. You've had highways expanded but only for people that are "carpooling" what sense does that make in rush hour when everyone is commuting to different locations.

This is the same guy who called into his radio show telling him he did a great job.

We simply don't know enough about what caused this accident to even make an informed comment about what happened. Perhaps the driver was texting, perhaps he had a medical problem, perhaps he fell asleep because he was up all night. We simply don't know. But that doesn't stop the Internets.
