Making wine is a lot harder to do than grow weed. But I'm sure the government wouldn't be happy with people making their own wine without paying taxes.
-
It's not the same. You can get continual yield from a plant. It can't be regulated. How much tax do you pay on seeds?
-
I'm sure those were the only things he was paid to do. Perhaps he also got the Mayor coffee. Oh and calling in the radio show too.
-
How was Ford supposed to respond the Sun report? "It's cool, who am I to judge?"
-
To you maybe. It's how he thinks he got elected. It's everyone else who appear as flip-floppers. And now that the Feds are agreeing to chip in it's believed that Ford has Scarberia locked up for the next election.
-
I guess maybe the rest of council shouldn't have flip-flopped on it. Can't blame Ford that council and other levels of government are paralyzed on this issue. He's been consistent on his views all along. How much in sunk costs were associated into David Miller canceling the Island Airport Bridge? Regardless paying $75,000 for 30 chairs are a tangible reason why people hate the government. GO TO IKEA YOU MONEY WASTERS!!!!!

My only real hesitation with legalization is the draconian way our governments deal with Alcohol and Tobacco. Alcohol sales, especially in Ontario, is an absolute joke. They treat us like children. If you really do like consuming MJ, do you really want the burdensome restrictions smokers have to deal with placed on you. Especially when the police have all but admitted they don't charge for simple possession. Also would legalization be treated like tobacco or alcohol. You can smoke (some places anyway) in public but drinking in public is treated like a massive public safety hazard and you're only allowed to drink in licensed areas or at home. I would oppose having people being allowed to smoke pot in public without facing some sort of penalty. If you think tobacco smoke is unpleasant, I'd ague weed is much worse. Also, I can't imagine a government would allow people to grow their own weed tax free. And how would they enforce that? I personally am not opposed to how things are currently done, the dealers take all the risk, and people don't really fear criminal chargest for possession like they do in the States.. Under a legalization system dealing drugs tax-free would be illegal anyway so things wouldn't be all that different.

We all know how much Cops love to ticket people. Charging people with a criminal offense for possession costs money, ticketing people for possession makes money. They have to justify all the cops on the Sunshine List after all.

TFC has never made the playoffs. At least the Leafs have done that. TFC is a joke.

In the case of the Mr. Lube employee that got fired for trying to score weed, the cops were scanning hashtags mentioning them. Apparently the guy has mentioned something to do with the police before hand, that led them to the Tweet about trying to score weed. Anytime you hashtag something people can see your profile if they're looking for the same hastag.
-
How did you conclude that from my post? I'm just saying that it's likely, based on the evidence that we already have, that there was more information on this guy's Twitter feed to indicate where he worked.
-
Calling himself "Hero_Matt" and having that picture, it would be reasonable to conclude he wore the fact that he was a Firefighter on his sleeves. I have no evidence for this, but I wouldn't be surprised if his history of Tweets gave evidence to his workplace as well. BTW if you have to call yourself a Hero as a nickname. . . You're likely the farthest thing from one.

Fine but they're still adults or at least should be treated that way.
-
My point is education up to 25 isn't that common. And if it is, it's the fault institutions of higher learning. There's no reason some undergrad degrees should take 4 years to complete.
-
Sure, but that's not a common experience for most twenty-somethings.
-
If you're in post-secondary school for 7 years you better be looking at a Law or Medical career afterwards.
-
Clearly people found it offensive. Just because you didn't, doesn't mean these soul-less bureaucrats as you call them didn't. I'm curious what's your opinion on the term "Gay" being used as a pejorative. Because that's the forefront of how the speech police have effected my life. I've never thought about it, when I was younger, and how it isn't right to use that term that way. But now I've developed a keen awareness of it and when I hear someone use it as a pejorative, I sort of cringe.
-
Well you could argue that starts at 22 once someone leaves university. I think an argument could be made for 22 or 21. But not 25.
-
I've never felt the need to publicize the crude conversations I've had with my friends on social media. It seems this generation feels that everyone needs to hear every offensive thought that pops in their head.

The Crack Video Allegations Did Nothing! http://globalnews.ca/news/862281/mayor-rob-ford-approval-rating-inches-higher-poll/

I don't know why they choose 18. I guess because most people have completed mandatory education by 18. By 25 most would have completed secondary education and should be starting their career of choice.
-
Well the law says 18. Should the parents be legally bound to provide for their child until 25 now? What about 30?
-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-24173194 Is this is because kids these days can't find jobs that even remotely allow them to be financially independent until well into their 20's, sometimes 30's?I do think this is just a way for child psychologist's to make work for themselves. At no point in human history would anyone consider people that have been alive for 25 years to not be a fully functioning adult. People were forced to be adults in their early teenage years. This is just another way to coddle the upcoming generation if you ask me.

You're trolling right? Dude was 6'8. His only purpose on the Sabres roster is to fight. Kessel is maybe 6'0, it's the pre-season and he's the team's top scorer. Would you say the same if some goon went after Gretzky or Crosby? Once the Donneybrook had commenced Kessel did beat the bleep out of a Sabre more his size. BTW Kessel doesn't miss a regular season game but Clarkson is out for 10.

Well choice is diluting all sorts of media and forms of entertainment. Doesn't mean baseball isn't wildly profitable. Even though the Blue Jays have been a massive disappointment this year, I do believe their rating and attendance numbers have actually seen an up tick. Likely due to the undeserved hype.
