  1. Biden's convention speech got better ratings than Trump. . . that must sting!

  2. It's already legal. People are just unhappy that many will use COVID-19 as an excuse to Vote by mail. But 35 states don't require an excuse, so there's nothing Trump can do. . . except hamper the postal service so it can be a self fulfilling prophecy.
  3. OK but you can't ban mail-in voting because fraud CAN exist, unless there's concrete evidence that it's rampant. Just like you can't ban guns because someone can commit murder with a gun.
  4. From the article Shady posted.
  5. In both instances the fraud was detected. You can't extrapolate that to ban the practice outright. And if you do, better take Trump's absentee ballot away while you're at it.
  6. We found out this week that the Trump Administration has been influencing CDC guidelines. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/08/26/brett-giroir-coronavirus-testing-cdc-402524 So perhaps the Feds are influencing how "grass-roots" health administrators are reacting to the disease.
  7. And a WCM is incapable of providing evidence for rampant mail-in voting fraud. And yet, there is not evidence they've effected the result of an election. So how would that be done exactly? It's perfectly legal for registered voters to obtain an absentee ballot in a vast majority of states. I see no effort to ban the practice. . . Uh because the President does it and many Republicans advocate for it. The only effort is to create chaos by underfunding the postal service.
  8. So that's a no, you can't cite any meaningful stats as evidence of voter fraud. Here's one. Oh but it's a Republican. https://www.npr.org/2019/07/30/746800630/north-carolina-gop-operative-faces-new-felony-charges-that-allege-ballot-fraud You suspect the GOP have a legit shot in Oregon or Washington? Or are you so uninformed on this debate that you don't know which states have Universal Mail-In voting and which ones don't.
  9. Yes their are. Cite the rampant fraud from those states. They are all safe Dem states though. The 4 or 5 states that will decide this election DO NOT have Universal Mail-In Voting
  10. Tamir Rice was shot by police for having a toy gun. Kyle Rittenhouse walked by cops with an assault rifle, killed two people and the cops let him go home. Tell me again systemic racism doesn't exist.

But if you're white, go ahead and head into a crowd with an assault rifle.

The Cops will help you hydrate and let you go home.

Argus, these zealots don't care about facts.  It's all about feelings, emotions and anecdotes.  The actual FBI stats on shootings don't mean anything to them, because it cuts against their biased and unrealistic narrative.  It's about as disgusting as it gets.  It's race-baiting, and the stoking of race hatred, all because they don't like Trump.  They're brainwashing a group of people into thinking that they're specifically targeted by law enforcement, and that nobody else or no other groups of people have suffered the instances of police shootings as them.

Systemic Racism pre-dates Trump. Now who's bringing him into every debate?

  11. Ballots and applications are two different things. And demonstrated to you previously, there are safeguards in place to prevents someone from just sending hundreds of ballots out. AND that's a crime, why should you base your voting system around assuming someone will commit a crime.
  12. Yes they still regularly see more than 1,000 people die from the virus daily. Perhaps if the person in charge would listen to those people and not hock unproven cures and pretend the virus will magically disappear they'd be in better shape.
  13. On election day, I'd imagine a politician's top priority is voting. Talking about the idea that people can't use COVID-19 as an excuse for using Absentee balloting. It's legal, so get over it.
  14. He has access to a Private Jet, and he doesn't really have anything to do on election day. And I'm sure some people in precarious work can't get out to vote. I'm just trying to prove the point that telling people when they can and can't use an absentee ballot is fraught with complications. That's why a majority of states don't require someone to give an excuse, you just have to be a registered voter. Rage all you want, that's the way the system works and has worked for awhile. Even Republicans embrace the system. The North Carolina GOP sent out absentee ballot applications https://www.pennlive.com/news/2020/08/north-carolina-voters-mailed-absentee-ballot-request-forms-featuring-president-trumps-face-reports.html They had to blur out the part where Trump rages against Mail-In voting, because essentially they're the same thing.
  15. Up until now, that wasn't a consideration. 35 states don't require a reason because that would create a whole new level of discrimination. A person can't get away from work on a Tuesday, so he asks for an Absentee Ballot? What's wrong with that? Especially considering the wait could be very long with reduced polling places. Why should Trump get a ballot? He has the means to get to Florida for Election day?
  16. That's BS. The Republicans are advocating for absentee balloting as well. You are allowed to apply for an absentee ballot if you're a registered voter. TRUMP DOES IT! Trump is railing against universally sending absentee ballots to all registered voters whether they request them or not. Some states have successfully done that for awhile now. But it doesn't seem like the States that'll decide this election (Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania) do.
  17. Serious Hurricane headed to the Gulf Coast. Trump better get his Paper Towel ready.
  18. States often clean up voter rolls. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/07/14/fact-check-mailing-ballots-dead-people-not-leading-voter-fraud/3214074001 And what do you think cutting the Postal Service funding, removing mail boxes and sorting machines will do?
  19. Well then they don't apply for absentee balloting. What perplexes me about this debate is, it seems, the possibility of fraud (which is a crime) means that the practice shouldn't be allowed. It's like if you banned guns because people could use them for murder.
  20. Mainstream media for what? She said four words.
  21. How about he pardons everyone charged with simple drug possession?
  22. An often used insult against Liberals is that they're Cucks. Jerry Falwell Jr. is a legit Cuck.

  23. As people try to spike the football that the US caseload has dropped, as if 40,000 daily cases is an accomplishment, it's worthy to note the per capita death toll. The only First world/Developed nations that have a worse per capita death toll to the US is Italy, Spain, Belgium, Sweden and the UK. Note: - The last time Belgium had a daily death toll of more than 100 people was May 8th. - Spain has had two bad days this month where they had over 100 deaths and around 70 deaths. Before that the last time they had a 100 death day was mid may. - The UK is a little worse. The last 100+ day they had was in mid-June. - Sweden has a very low population. So their only 100 death days came in April. The high per capita death toll comes as a result of the refusal to shut down. Which is very debatable whether that was a good move or not. - Italy, which was the epicentre of the virus in March, hasn't seen a day with 100 deaths since the end of May. The point is, that all these countries that have per higher per capita death tolls saw a vast majority of their deaths in March and April. All the while, the US continues with high daily death tolls. The lowest day they've had since the start of the pandemic was on June 5th. They have weekly two-day lulls due to the weekend, but every week the daily death toll jumps back to north of a thousand deaths. The US surpassed 180,000 deaths yesterday with 1,200 recorded COVID-19 deaths. It seems inevitable that they'll surpass 200,000 COVID-19 deaths before the election. I also predict they'll surpass Italy for per capita deaths by then. There's no objective standard where this is an successful response to the pandemic by Developed nation standards.
  24. Absentee ballots are great. Except if you're doing it because you don't want to deal with COVID-19 or the delays associated with it. Then you're contributing to fraud. It's a weird logical leap they expect people to take.
  25. That inaccuracy works both ways. How often was a pneumonia death not recorded as a COVID-19 related death? You can pretty much ignore reported totals from developed countries and authoritarian countries as they likely are under reporting because there isn't testing infrastructure or the government doesn't want to release damning statistics (Russia and China) I noted in a status update recently that the efforts in New Zealand to clamp down on minor spikes are more than heavy handed, approaching fascism. But in mid-March the example of Italy, Spain and New York City made the rest of the developed world react. Hospitals were overwhelmed with the sick and morbid decisions had to be made on who lived and who ddied. I think, in that instance, public health had it right. We certainly weren't conditioned to treat the virus like we are now. So everything was shut down for a month or so before slowly opening again. In July we saw similar things happening in Florida, California, Texas and Arizona. Hospitals were at capacity so governments rolled back some freedoms and rates are now dropping. There's a fine balance between good public health and fascism.
