  1. CNN reporting that Health Canada has approved the Pfizer vaccine. Obsessed with Canada. :D

  2. Says the dude that keeping bringing up Blasey Ford for some reason.
  3. Yes it was. People dying of a new infectious virus caused businesses to be closed by elected officials. Had they done nothing then more would have died. Canada's case and death rate is actually quite good. And their economic contraction isn't that much better or worse than other developed nations. Short of South Korea, Taiwan and the Oceanic Commonwealth nations, what other countries handled this pandemic well, by your metric?
  4. So the day Health Canada approves the Pfizer vaccine, an initial shipment is already planned.

Not exactly the doomsday scenarios where Canada would have to wait until everyone else in the developed world gets vaccinated.

Are you purposely obtuse?  It’s always been about quantities.  How many times does that have to be stated?  Jesus fucking Christ.

Well we're getting 250,000 doses out of the gate, and that's just from one maker. Moderna has said Canada would be close to the front of the line as well.

Clearly manufacturing in Europe isn't the obstacle it initially was thought.

So we've gone from late Q1, to January, to people starting to get the Vaccine next week.

  5. I believe it's the virus that did those things.
  6. 1. The law in question only amounted to 10,000 ballots. Expanding Mail-In voting is well within the right of the states. Heck multiple states do it Universally. If this is a problem, then a third party organization should control voting like here in Canada. 2. Guess the Dems are better arguing in court than the GOP are. 3. No they wanted them to censor incorrect information. Also good luck next election when Trump is hijacking any other Republicans ambitions to lead the party and everyone is in the echo chamber of Parlour spouting their fake news.
  7. Pfizer Vaccine approved by Health Canada. 250,000 doses to be delivered this month. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/vaccine-rollout-plan-phac-1.5833912 Totally inexcusable!
  8. They only simply said it was a Registered Democrat or a Republican. Not who they actually voted for. And that was only Pennsylvania, other states didn't report political affiliation.
  9. Would you like an American news source discussing Safe Harbour you'll just try to discredit? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/dec/08/us-election-2020-safe-harbor-deadline-congress-republicans https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/12/08/safe-harbor-deadline-arrives-hurting-trumps-bid-overturn-election/6478954002/ https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/what-safe-harbor-day-why-it-s-bad-news-trump-n1250205
  10. Yes because people were voting for months before November 3rd. This was specifically a problem in these 4 Swing States. https://www.ctvnews.ca/world/america-votes/crush-of-mail-in-ballots-slows-count-in-4-key-states-1.5174004
  11. This again, would probably have to be argued in court. You can't just say the Safe Harbour Deadline is meaningless, you'd have to convince a judge. The hurdles to overturning this election keep stacking up. But at least they can keep fundraising.
  12. Which is astonishing that no one here will concede that this is just a fundraising Grift.
  13. Early voting statistics were publicly available before the election. https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/PA.html https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/WI.html https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/GA.html https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/MI.html
  14. Well now you've reached the Safe Harbour Deadline. So beyond all the challenges faced, you'd have to get Federal Law changed to overcome that. https://globalnews.ca/news/7510282/us-election-biden-states-safe-harbour/ IIRC The case that was rejected yesterday didn't involve Fraud. It involved changing Absentee ballot requirements in the face of COVID-19 that "Could" allow for fraud. That's a flimsy argument to try and get multiple states to overturn voting. We knew before November 3rd that some 100,000 people voted using Mail or Early voting.
  15. BS! They hadn't counted the Mail-In votes which were publicly available online before the election. We knew they were overwhelmingly Democratic.
  16. As expected the the Death in the US spiked again yesterday. Just South of 3,000.
  17. You factor that in. Which is why Hospitalization and Deaths are more important metrics. Positivity Rate is also one you should look at before Total cases. Worldometer doesn't really report on that so you have to do digging. In the Summer positivity rate was under 0.5% in Ontario its now bouncing between 3-5%. Today it was 4.4%. That's why when Trump scoffed at increased caseload, you could look at States that had Positivity Rates north of 20% and know he was Full of Shit.
  18. A few people who got the vaccine in the UK yesterday had an allergic reaction. I suspect it's good that other countries are going to get a shot at this first so the kinks get worked out.

      LOL!  Good one!

Some people are allergic to vaccination.  Not really a big deal.

  19. Funny how that wasn't compelling evidence in any Court, anywhere. The "Dump" of Biden votes from Mail-In Ballots that hadn't happened yet were expected. That's why I went to bed that night knowing the Trump lead was a mirage.
  20. It's deliciously ironic that Republican States are trying to get the SCOTUS to throw out the votes of the citizens of other states because their voting standards are different. I'm sure they'd be happy with a non-political third party organization taking care of elections like we have in Canada.
  21. Wow you're still peddling that? It wasn't a data dump. They were finally able to count Mail-In Ballots. The Republican Legislators passed laws saying that Absentee ballots could only be counted after in-person voting had been finished. It's almost like the put in a law that would allow them to claim fraud afterwards.
  22. You could say that about Canada too. Here in Ontario we're tripling our case load from the Spring. And also more than tripling our positivity rate. It was a predictable second wave. My kid has need to be tested multiple times because kids present with mild COVID-19 systems so any fever or stuffy nose is treated with the worst case scenario. We're living in absolute crazy times.
  23. Actually the 1,089 and 1,554 are the lulls. That's how dire the situation is in the US. Expect the deaths reported to go up significantly tomorrow. But you can see the reliable lulls in the attached graph.
  24. The Canadian guidance is wearing a mask where Social Distancing isn't possible. Like in most indoor public places, it's not always possible.
  25. That there is a reliable 2 day lull in reporting. A 7-day average would be more useful for a single figure rather than picking one day. But note, that Lull today was still 1,500. Probably due to the weekend and some sources not reporting on then.
