  1. It's all here, I guess. https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/sites/default/files/documents/Report_Volume2.pdf Nothing from Hillary. Now if Obama, for whatever reason told Governors not to allow certification because he felt Russia swayed the election, which he was briefed on, it'd be a more Apples to Apples comparison.
  2. Sure she believed that. Even the Republican led Senate concluded that Russia tried to interfere with the election. Doesn't mean anyone obstructed Trump's transition.
  3. If you evaluate Worldometer you get a 2 day Dip Every week. But now the 2 week dip is still above 1,000 deaths. It was as low as 300 some days in the late summer. You'll see another relative low day tomorrow and then it'll go up again. It's more due to reporting and not that those people died that day. Same with positive tests, those people got tested a day or two, or even a week earlier.
  4. Which is why it's a fraction of what we see in the US. A very small portion of the population will have a temper tantrum over being told to wear a mask in the grocery store. But people still see family and friends. And because of the weather, it's harder to do it outside. I'm almost defeatist about it now. If you have to see friends and family to avoid conflict and mental health issues, it's not worth the fight. But then you have to be super diligent with protecting older family members. I suspect in the US, because of the Thanksgiving Surge we'll see upwards of 300,000 daily cases and 3,000 deaths before the end of the week.
  5. Well considering Hillary conceded and Obama invited Trump to the White House that really wasn't required.
  6. We haven't had a "Strong Lockdown" since the Spring. That was a direct response to was was seen in Europe and New York. But you're right, if people refuse to reduce their contacts and social distance, there's nothing the Government can do to help with the problem. We're actually finding that out in Canada now. Punishing business doesn't exactly help. The numbers continue to go up because people don't really want to alter their lives all that much. But even the increased numbers in Canada are a fraction of what's being seen in the US. The State of Florida regularly sees the number of cases all across Canada.
  7. Do you think the Loss of life in New York is not some sort of Disaster? And that's with a strong Lockdown and Social Distancing. In many parts of the US people aren't trying to avoid getting COVID-19. Which is why the death rate, hospitalization rate, caseload are all higher than they were in the Spring.
  8. Yeah, no more racist than trying to get large swaths of votes in majority black cities thrown out.
  9. Was listening to the latest Lincoln Project Podcast. We all know this isn't about overturning the election. It's about fundraising. And Trump will need it. He faces a litany of both criminal and civil cases once he leaves office and doesn't have the DOJ protecting him. And a blanket pardon won't protect him against his New York legal troubles. Trump sees these sycophants as a reliable marketing audience. They'll fund his lifestyle going forward. It doesn't matter if their quarrels aren't based in reality. The loser here, will be the Republican Party. Unless the GOP at large follows Trumpers down this rabbit hole, they'll lose a large faction of voters. We've seen what happens to any GOP politician that doesn't play ball with Trump's narrative, they face threats and are publicly criticized.
  10. What about Hospitalization data? The fact that Co-Morbidities are a contributing factor in the COVID-19 death, doesn't mean that death isn't a concern. For example, note Rudy. He has it, he's old and probably has Co-Morbidities. Ditto with Trump. They were both hospitalized for a time. If a large percentage of people at a certain age that get the disease have to be hospitalized that creates a cascading effect that paralyzes Healthcare. So when 20-year-old gets in a car accident and needs emergency Healthcare, the system is strained and they get diminished care. So you get what's happening in some mid-western states currently, happened in Spain and Italy in the Spring and Happened in Sunbelt states in the Summer.
  11. Sweden has also called for strict public gathering restriction and has more/less the same daily rate of cases as Canada despite being less than a third the size, per capita.
  12. Still no consequential court wins? Got a week before the EC meets. Tick tok, tick tok. All these anecdotal videos and testimonies mean nothing if they can't be proven in court.
  13. We can agree on that. The US is headed into a period of extreme division and strife. It's entertaining watching from the relative safety of a Toronto-area suburb. We can see it with COVID-19. Most countries agree how to handle it. Not in the US. But it appears they're going into this period with a Divided "Right". I'm not exactly sure you can call the "Trump Brand" All that Right Wing.
  14. Surrender! I'll give it to member ID, at least he tries to debate these things.
  15. Way to project your delusion on me.
  16. Well the GOP may shut themselves out of the debate if Trump sabotages their Senate efforts in Georgia.
  17. It's not shut down. Take a look at traffic, people are still going to work. Peel and Toronto, where 2/3s of the cases are coming from have something resembling a shutdown, but that just effects certain businesses. FTR: I don't support closing retail as long as limits are put in and mask mandates are in place. The culprit for spread is people that continue to have large private indoor gatherings. That's done a lot of good in the US. Deaths are as high as they've every been. Also as noted, if you're in the Hospital it doesn't matter if treatment and prognosis is better than it was in April, you're taking up resources and hurting care standards for people suffering from other ailments.
  18. Nice of you to concede that. The dude trying to suppress GOP voter turnout yesterday claimed Trump won California.
  19. So anyone who doesn't support Trump's fantasy about an election stolen is a Chinese plant? That's just great. It's the thing about Conspiracy Theories, the net of people that are "In On It" becomes so large that you're forced into a constant state of paranoia. The GOP are now eating their own. They allowed a Con-man who lives off of Conspiracy Theories rise to the head of their party, this is the end result. They have themselves to blame.
  20. If they sabotage the GOP turnout in Georgia, they'll get a lot of it. Trumpers don't give a shit about the GOP. The GOP Establishment have put up with Trump's act, but now that GOP Governors and Legislators aren't outright overturning election results, he's sicking his legions of MAGA fans on them to screw them on his way out the door. And if he pledges to run again the day he's forced to leave, he sits on the ambition of every Republican for the next four years. It's deliciously ironic.
  21. Clips of this are so good. They are so dumb! https://www.foxnews.com/politics/pro-trump-attorneys-sidney-powell-lin-wood-urge-georgians-not-vote-senate-runoffs-without-changes Trump is mad he lost, so he's going to take the entire GOP down with him.
  22. Yesterday was the deadliest day for COVID-19 Deaths in the US. 2,800 deaths,  100,000 Hospitalized, 200,000 cases. Before they get the vaccine, it'll be a humanitarian crisis.

  23. As discussed with OftenWrong. Hospitalization is the most important stat because if the Hospitals are full of COVID-19 patients, even if they may recover, it's taxing the system at large. Meaning if you get in a car accident, have a heart attack, break a bone, anything that required a visit to a Hospital, you may get a diminished level of care because the Hospital is overwhelmed with COVID patients.
  24. Today Ontario reported 35 deaths. That's tied for the most this fall, in the second wave. Again, not catastrophic, but up. In Ontario the measures are largely preventative. Because Hospitalization is going up, and deaths will follow should that not be controlled. https://www.cp24.com/news/ontario-records-another-1-723-cases-of-covid-19-35-more-deaths-1.5213549 Where it is in a crisis situation is many parts of the US. Nearing 100,000 people Hospitalized and yesterday the US recorded the most deaths from COVID since last April. It'll be interesting to see if there's any Threshold COVID-19 deniers will start to concede that the the US in entering a Humanitarian Crisis. https://abcnews.go.com/Health/potential-covid-19-surge-thanksgiving-humanitarian-crisis-experts/story?id=74365407
  25. I knew I recognized that dude from somewhere.
