Here's his speech. I'll wait to watch a video of him giving. http://marcgarneau.ca/econspeech/

He's currently giving a speech to the Economic Club of Canada outlining his vision, he gave a brief outline a few days ago though.

Care to explain?

If I decide to sign up as a supporter I'll have a tough decision deciding between Hall Findlay and Garneau. The party is finally realizing they need to move to the "right" on some issues instead of being the NDP-lite. Even Trudeau isn't the big lefty he seemed to be. A mix of "right-wing" policy, if you consider to embracing free markets as right-wing, combined with centrist and to the left social policy, along with environmentalism, that isn't to extreme, will appeal to most people. Tax reform, a carbon tax, legalization of marijuana, free trade and allowing more foreign companies into our industries are all good policies.

Garneau isn't bad either, but his age is an issue.

I was stating a point, that doesn't make in alarmist. You must have missed BC as well then.

Newfoundland and Labrador has had the highest employment rate over the last few years and the unemployment rate has dropped a fair bit, despit it still being huge. During the recession it went up around 17% and now it is around 12%. Other employment trends have been very positive as well.

She has also criticized the party for not standing for anything and as said they need to take clear position whether it upsets some people or not. A party & a person can be centrist and still stand for things.
-
Supposedly her saying that she is well experienced is a snub at Trudeau.
-
She's arguably the candidate with the best experience and is a very strong speaker. Her major issue right now is her lack of name recognition throughout the country, if she can build her profile over the next few months she could replace Marc Garneau as Trudeau's main challenger.

Senators calls on maritime provinces to merge
Newfoundlander replied to Sleipnir's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
1.8 million people, spread out over an area roughly the size of the island of Newfoundland, have 134 MLAs. I don't know how much the average MLA costs but the average MP costs $600,000 annually. -

Welll according o the Liberals this is all Harper's doing. I think it's a wonderful idea but people are going to be to stubborn to allow this to happen. -

At the moment polling shows LPC would win 30% in Alberta. -

The CPC got less then 600 more then the LPC, nothing for them to brag about. -

The CPC only narrowly beat the Liberals in Victoria, and lost significant support. -

Only the Greens can be happy with last night's elections, and they didn't even win. -
Justin Trudeau Would Take Liberals to a Majority

The party seems alive and well to me, just under a different name. -
Justin Trudeau Would Take Liberals to a Majority

I love that the NDP were able to attract separatist candidates to defeat the Bloc, and then the way they've appealed to Albertans is even better! -
I'm not a Liberal so I don't know if she can win or not, Trudeau has a huge lead but so has many. I'm not a Liberal so I don't know if she can win or not, Trudeau has a huge lead but so have many front runners. So why doesn't understand politics exactly, because she supports a policy you have little to know understanding about?

Supply management doesn't just effect cheese, it effects chicken, turkey, eggs and milk prices, which should be essential in everyone's diet. Did you even bother to read Martha Hall Fondlay's research paper on the topic or are you just criticizing her without bothering to get your facts straight? Here's the article, I suggest you read it. http://www.policyschool.ucalgary.ca/sites/default/files/research/m-hall-findlay-supply-mgnt-final.pdf
