My issues with the report, or page that someone typed up, is that it gave little detail and made no sense. I'll admit the NDP have provided good governance in some provinces, and my previous comments on this subject are just partisan.
My issues with the report is that you can't compare how the NDP in Manitoba did in 2003 with how the PCs did in Newfoundland and Labrador in 1986.
As well just because parties have the same names doesn't mean they all govern alike. If someone came out with a report saying the NDP have done a better job balancing the budget because they implemented these 6 policies compared to the Liberals because they implement these policies then it would make some sense.
Even though the NDP have affiliated parties in 9 provinces they all run on different policies. Lorraine Michael has campaigned on free post secondary education, full day kindergarten and universal child care. None of the provinces where the NDP have governed has any of these things to my knowledge. The PC Party in this province have been more left wing then some NDP governments. I've seen it written that Roy Romanow's NDP government was like a PC government, Darrel Dexter is criticized for his "austerity budgets". People say Gary Doer was a big L Liberal and I saw an article a few weeks ago from a New Democrat that the Manitoba NDP campaigned to the right of the PC Party last year.
