  1. Wanting to give families more money is so conservative.
  2. Well a poll out today shows once agin he'd form a majority government in an election.
  3. Good point, I guess we may see with Justin Trudeau. Canada's new Jack.
  4. But that wouldn't have anything to do with her 2008 debate performance.
  5. How did she lose half a million votes?
  6. He deserves it, as do all premiers.
  7. They didn't have a chance in 2011 either.
  8. Herman Cain was much better then Romney.
  9. Rublicans should have rallied behind Gary Johnson.
  10. I guess we'll see what Trudeau can do if he becomes leader. A big part of governing is having good ministers, Trudeau is probably the best person now who could attract these people.
  11. I cannot remember seeing any polls showing Ignatieff would lead the party to a majority, especially before he was leader. There were polls following his appointment as interim leader that had him leading, or tied, with the Conservatives for roughly 6 months. Hypothetical polls a few years before an election are not going to predict the results, but neither do polls at the beginning of an election. They're hardly pointless though.
  12. Trudeau has been involved in politics since the day he was born. Harper spent 8 years in the House of Commons before he became PM, only 4 years before he became leader of the Canadian Alliance.
  13. What was Harper's? I don't know if he's qualified or not to be PM but there isn't really any qualifications for being PM besides being able to get elected.
  14. I didn't realize Chrétien was ever that personally popular. However, your point is correct. Justin Trudeau could go on and win 39% next election.
  15. Exactly, well low-thirties recently.
  16. As to it being hypothetical, I agree. However, it wasn't just Ignatieff and Dion but also Mulcair. Polls prior to him being elected showed support for the NDP would go into the mid 30s, and they did. John Turner and Kim Campbell were two of the most popular leaders prior to their big election defeats.
  17. Well we saw how shallow Quebeckers were last year when they voted for people they never saw before just because of one man.
  18. Sandra Pupatello will be the next premier.
  19. Ever read his resume? Leaving out being an astronaut he still has one of the most impressive resumes in parliament.
  20. How exactly do you think the NDP could win an election with the Liberals in second place?
  21. Explain.
