How long ago did China have a 1-baby policy, where they were taking people's second babies away and putting them into high-mortality-rate infirmaries, so that they could control their population? If they were willing to let that happen to their own newborn babies, do you think they give a rip about the population demographic that's dying from covid? Why are so few people in nearby Beijing and Shanghai affected, yet it's having such a large effect in cities on the far corners of the earth? I overheard one of my wife's friends saying that she was told that she could get a ticket for driving in her car with her daughter, because her daughter doesn't live at home anymore. I'm not worried about getting a ticket for something stupid like that, I'd find some way around it, but this kind of talk is making the rounds. I've seen mention on FB about places where people face penalties for speaking negatively about vaccines. If it's true it's extremely alarming, but I don't trust anything I see on FB. That being said, who the hell are we supposed to trust nowadays? Some of the biggest MSM outlets in the world push lies 24/7. CNN can not cover a single story about Trump and not omit, skew, misrepresent or fabricate. Not one. It's well past the point of just biased or partisan media, it's 100% bullshit, all the time.

I never said that I cared about an unproven allegation against Biden. I just said that this is your chance to prove you're not a hypocrite Argus. This allegation carries far more weight than the allegations against Kavanaugh which you took so seriously. 1) It's a more serious crime, 2) it wasn't unreported, 3) the victim knows the specific details about the location and the time, 4) there was direct job action taken against the victim after she filed her complaint 5) she has witnesses who are aware that she was talking about this crime for decades 6) she hasn't been caught lying with regard to this case. Honestly, if Dr Ford had reported the incident decades ago, and the assualt was as serious as this where Kavanaugh penetrated her with his fingers, and she was able to name the specific location, and the date, and she didn't name witnesses who never had a clue wtf she was talking about, and she wasn't caught lying about fake phobias and not knowing about the offer of a lie detector test where she lived, etc.... Kavanaugh woud definitely not be a SCJ right now. This is like an airtight case by comparison to Dr Ford's case. You should give a fork if you're not a total hypocrite.

A school has 300-2,000 people in a concentrated area, few of which will wash their hands twice in a 7 hr span. They're all inside where UV light can't help contain the virus, and they are constantly touching each other, getting sweaty running around, etc. It's THE best virus spreading ground on the planet aside from a crowded subway train/station. A 100+ sq km provincial park, out in the sun, where people literally never come in physical contact with each other, is not a risk, even at the height of a pandemic, as long as people wear masks. Opening a school before a park is the height of stupidity.

I just saw Horgan on the BC News talking about re-opening BC. The only thing he specifically mentioned today was schools. Hello dipshit. The parks are still closed. Would he seriously open the biggest virus-breeding institutions of the province first? IMO outdoor parks should open at least a month before schools.

I've said right from the beginning that I don't think the virus came from a "wet market", but I don't think that we will ever get proof. China will never admit to it and no one can hold their feet to the fire. The party of hypocrisy and "Women have to be believed!!!!" doesn't seem to care about Biden's sexual assault allegation as much as they cared about the accusation against Kavanaugh. So weird. Allegation against Kavanaugh: Victim never reported the allegation, never talked about it with her friends and family, couldn't name a year or a location, the allegation was only about being held down, not even being fondled, the accuser was caught lying on several occasions during her testimony. In Kavanaugh's personal life there are zero other claims against him being a perv. Allegation against Biden: Was reported to the Senate, victim talked to her friends and family about it for years, she was removed from her job, she has specific details about the time of day, day, month and year, she claims to have been physically violated, and to this date the accuser has not been caught on any lies. Biden is known to the world as a hair-sniffing, inappropriate-touching creeper. I'm not one for removing a candidate based on a he said she said from over 20 years ago, I don't think this accusation is actionable at all because the police were never involved, but I want to know what all the Kavanaugh accusers think of this. Is it time for a massive freak-out? Is Biden "GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT!!!!!!!!!", like Kavanaugh? If you're one of the people who were adamant that Kavanaugh had to be ditched, this is the chance to prove that you're not a hypocrite....

I got the whole spambot thing, but the part about the "mass grave" is interesting. Did they really need to dig a mass grave for this covid outbreak, or was it just a political stunt? Theoretically there are way more people that die of the regular seasonal flu than died of this covid outbreak. Do they do mass graves every flu season and we just don't know about it?

Canada doesn't have anything that compares to NYC. It's 1/5th of the population of our whole country in an area that's 1/9th the size of the GTA.

The rest of the US, outside of NY and NJ, still has 10x our population. California has 2M more people than we do, and only 858 deaths.

You're the one who said that the GTA was comparable to NYC. I never said that at all. I even got the stats to show how different they were when you brought up the comparison. My whole point all along has been that NYC has a completely different situation from anything we face in Canada.

Funny that you just accused me of being misleading for getting the exact stats for your choice of regions to compare for population, now you're choosing misleading stats yourself. NYC alone has more people than the whole GTA, remember? Who care if the GTA has more cities. Population density is the key to quick virus transmission.

You're the one who stated GTA, I just got the stats that you mentioned. Toronto 2.9M in 630 sq km. 4,600 people per sq km. Still 57% lower than NYC. There are over 1M more people riding the NYC subway than live in Toronto.
