  1. The CNN crowd. Antifa. BLM. Yahoo is too kind a word. A combination of drooling idiots and violent drooling idiots. It's sad, but I agree with you. Some people are so sucked in by CNN that CNN's lies become their dogma. Disdain for scientific expertise is a tricky topic. Theoretically an organization like the WHO would have centuries and billions of dollars worth of scientific, medical and epidemiological expertise, but Taiwan, SoKo, etc showed complete disdain for everything that the WHO advised and it served them quite well. In the year 2020, when the world's "leading" authority on disease prevention gives out nothing but bad advice, whom can you trust? Trump did far better than Trudeau at disregarding the WHO, but a lot of Canadians preferred Trudeau's pro-virus strategy of: "Do nothing for the first two months, then when the virus has entrenched itself in our country, copy the USA." Trudeau did kind of run the country from his own basement, like Hitler did from his bunker at the end of WWII, and he maxed the stupidity aspect as usual, but our geography was still able to save us. Luckily young, healthy people don't get very sick from this one.
  2. Lol, good point, but Canadians are pretty easy to lead around by the nose. You could probably convince a few million to work as slaves, just tell them that it makes them morally superior to non-slaves.
  3. No need to open a thread for each topic gz. This thread is about Trump's intelligence. Those topics are related.
  4. If other nations in Europe had the balls to ban travel, Trump's ban would have been even more effective. So it's actually case of "Enacting a partial travel ban is like being the only person who's smart enough to not pee in the pool. If you don't have your own pool, you'll end up smelling like R Kelly's neice." Also, partial travel bans worked for Taiwan, South Korea, etc, but they also disregarded all the WHO's other bad advice though, and they did everything at a furious pace.
  5. In some instances luck plays a hand. Getting a slob with covid working at a grocery store or something like that can screw a whole community. I'll admit that Mtl sucks anyways, but one bad boss added 69 bodies to the cities' death toll. https://globalnews.ca/news/6850164/quebec-covid-19-nursing-home-lawsuit/ Our idiot PM's riding is there, so it's not surprising if they felt like H2H transmission wasn't happening and masks weren't important.
  6. Trump is on TV for hours a day, and making tweets all the time. If you want to get all bent out of shape over a spelling mistake and ignore everything else he's doing that's your problem. Trump's record of success speaks for itself. His economy booms. He dummied Russia and Syria and islamic state in his first year as POTUS. He got a good trade deal with important concessions out of China. He did a better job fighting covid than our PM - Trump was smart enough not to blindly follow the wrong advice that came from the WHO. Trump got good judges on the SC. He hasn't started any wars, but he put Iran sharply in their place. He has been killing high-lvl terrorists. Terrorist attacks in the US are way down from Obama's term. The biggest idiot is the person who doesn't realize that everything they see on CNN is a mixture of bullshit and outright lies after the last 3 years of 24/7.
  7. It might be forcing people sick with covid to go to work in a care home: https://globalnews.ca/news/6850164/quebec-covid-19-nursing-home-lawsuit/
  8. @ Marcus in the whole time that SNC was a luke-warm topic, did you ever hear about Michel Fournier from anyone else but me? CBC wrote about this in 2016, but didn't talk about SNC's dirty past on TV when SNC hit the news again in 2019. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/fournier-charged-snc-lavalin-1.3657923 Just google Michel Fournier Bribe SNC, you can even add CBC at the end, other random stations come up. CBC didn't touch the topic on CBC News." If a GOP member had received a bribe from the WHO do you think we'd hear about it? From a Ukrainian gov't official? Russian Gov't? In short, the company that Trudeau created the DPA law for, the company that Trudeau coerced the AG to protect with his shiny new DPA law, has a court-documented history of bribing another Liberal politician with $2.3M for aid in winning a bridge contract. That bridge contract was only worth $127M. Trudeau had promised Canadians $150 BILLION worth of infrastructure spending, and SNC wasn't going to be allowed to bid on any of the contracts handed out for that work unless they were protected by the DPA law. If SNC gave $2.3M for help winning a $127M bridge contract, how much might they have given Trudeau to help get them access to bid on $150B worth contracts? SNC was a massive scandal compared to Duffygate. CBC lambasted Harper nightly over duffygate on the nightly news. CBC treated SNC like no big D.
  9. I clicked your link, interestingly enough the option to click on "video" wasn't there, even when I refreshed, and again when I did a new search. If you replace SNC with Duffygate the video option comes back.
  10. Agreed. They all had extremely aggressive defensive strategies, and they all went directly against all of the advice of the WHO before even Trump did. They treated covid as if H2H transmission was a proven fact, they encouraged citizens to wear masks (they even sent masks to their citizens) and they put travel restrictions on everyone coming from Hubei province.
  11. I would be crapping my pants right now if I was a Dem voter. Not just because it's to be expected from people that dumb at the best of times, but also out of fear that they just nominated the most un-electable person ever. He's not just senile, he also has a dark history with the Communist Bank of China of all places, in the year of covid lol. Honest to god, are the Dems secretly working for Trump? First they nominate Hillary, then Joe Biden? Trump has literally nothing to be proud of by winning these two presidential elections. If the Dems don't start talking about Hunter soon the 202 election is OOOOOOverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
  12. Godzilla you're definitely one of the world's preeminent internet trolls now. Your hyperbole, hypocrisy and hyper-partisan idiocy make you a triple-threat. You could be the next Rachel Madcow or Lowrence O'Dunghole. I'd consider showing them your portfolio, they may have a job waiting for you. That's if they're not afraid to hire someone lower on the curve than themselves.
  13. Honestly Rue? Did we really need any more sad truths at a time like this? Feel shame.
  14. Yup. If more countries would have closed off travel from China sooner then we could have avoided a lot of deaths. I don't think we knew about it soon enough to stop an outbreak though. Even on Dec 31, when China notified the WHO, it was probably too late. There would have been at least a few people who had gotten out of Wuhan by then. That means that in the future, a travel ban, no matter when it's initiated, needs to be accompanied by some form of social distancing. I think that some form of social distancing is the new normal now though. The days of close-talkers and gratuitous handshakes is over. I'm still not altogether convinced that there are some people who wanted this cat to get out of the bag but that's just a conspiracy theory for now. TBH, it doesn't even have to be a whole government to be in on it. Across the world, how many people are handling these deadly viruses now? A hundred? A thousand? It just takes one psycho. There could be a kid watching this pandemic unfold right now who wants to be "the one" to unleash something like covid in the future. A person could could have already set themselves on the path of becoming a virologit/epidemiologist just to get access. And honestly, this kind of world crisis was too easy to manufacture. Anyone who could have correctly predicted this outbreak could have positioned himself to profit financially from it. It'S onLy p4r4n0ia iF tHey'RE noT Out to GEt yoU.
  15. I agree the regulations are incredibly stupid. Large provincial parks are closed, but crowded Stanley Park in Vancouver is open, fast food is open, etc. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that China did this on purpose. It's really weird that no one in our gov't or MSM questioned the WHO at all, at any point, when their recommendations were so contrary to conventional wisdom and basic logic and common sense. Even against proven, decades-old science. Now the MSM and our gov't have rushed to the side of the WHO and are dead against Trump. Hello? The WHO was all wrong and their advice went worldwide. Trump was at least partly right.
  16. If that's the case then it's a huge proof of the efficacy of Trump's travel ban on China, because it means that the virus had to take the long way to get there. I don't doubt that at all. I'd be more surprised to hear that it wasn't. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that I had it at some point. We flew from YVR to Vegas on Feb 23, the day after the Heavyweight Championship of the World. We have a kid in elementary school and baseball. I will definitely take the antibody test when it's available.
  17. https://www.visualcapitalist.com/mapping-population-density-dot-town/ It's a pretty big factor if you look at this map. IMO the biggest factor for spreading the virus in the US was the date of the flight ban from China. Obviously if they got that early enough the death rate would be 0%. There were less than 100 deaths when Trump shut the country down, I doubt that he could have convinced Americans to shut down when there were ten deaths. Pelosi was doing her Chinatown hugging tour 3 weeks before he shut the country down, they weren't ready.
  18. Sorry, my initial reply was rude. The whole east coast of the US is city-city-city. There are just a lot of malls, subway systems, massive high schools, elementary schools, etc everywhere. Places where 1 infected person can infect hundreds. They have 21 urban centers with over 2M. We have 3. Those are the places where a few infected people have the potential to cause tens of thousands of deaths.
  19. If you look at the post you responded to, YOU were responding to my post, about NYC's infection rate vs other countries. It was never specified here that it was just NYC or America vs Canada. If you will only look at an America vs Canada comp, look at my reply to Argus. You're doing an apples to oranges comp as if it's straight up. Percentage of homosexuals in SF vs spuzzum BC is a worthless comp for lots of reasons, and that's why you're choosing such a thing. A better comp is StL vs a similar-sized city in Canada. There are less covid deaths in LA than Mtl. Then again, LA didn't have a Dem Mayor and Public Health Officer saying "ride the crowded NYC subway, eat in restaurants" weeks after Trump had closed off travel from China.
  20. Philadelphia is actually very close to NYC. Less than 100 mi. You have to go through NJ to get there.
  21. If you were a virus, where would you want to land? Wpg or Philadelphia? https://www.visualcapitalist.com/mapping-population-density-dot-town/
  22. Their population density is also 8x what ours is, and that’s including NYC. If you spread America’s 330M people over 80M sq km, (that’s more than Europe, North America and South America combined) would you still expect them to have 57,000 deaths? I hope not, because that would be stupid.
  23. Listen up boges, 57,000 deaths from covid in USA. 22,000 are from NY, 6,000 are from NJ. 22+6=28. 57,000 - 28,000 = 29,000 deaths in the USA, not incl NY and NJ. Pop of US, not incl NY + NJ = 30M. 29,000/300M USA 29K/300M not incl NY and NJ USA 35K/308M not incl NY Italy 27K/60M. 135K per 300M ppl Spain 24K/50M 144K per 300M ppl France 23K/66M 104K per 300M ppl UK 21K/66M. 95K per 300M ppl There are 4 countries right there whose death rates are 3-4 times higher than the US, not incl NY. Not just a bit higher, 3-4x higher. The rest of the US (not incl NY) would need 100,000 more deaths to rival Spain or Italy. When you said three or four times that “America’s numbers were still the worst PER CAPITA outside of NY or NJ” you were just wrong, as usual. Not even just wrong, your math is as reliable as a monkey riding a bicycle and throwing down tiles with numbers on them. “It’s 86,543!!!!!” Who tells you stuff like that, and why do you just blindly believe them WITH THEIR HISTORY OF LYING ABOUT EVERYTHING?????? You never believe anything that I say, yet you can’t point to someplace that I have lied to you. You always believe every single thing that they say, and they rarely ever tell you the truth. They were successfully sued by a kid for defamation of character ffs. That’s weird. I don’t lie to you Boges. You seem like you care, because you follow the “news” closely. I’m telling you honestly that you’re in a bad relationship. If I was you I’d change something. My news sources, my fact checking habits, just something. Not a small change either. I’d parse every phrase I heard on CNN and analyze it like cure for cancer was in there. You’ll wanna spew once you catch wind of their god-awful reek. You’re never going to see them the same way again.
  24. Don’t take other people’s words and attribute them to my arguments. You can’t even think for yourself, you’re the biggest idiot on the site. You definitely don’t think for me.
  25. WTF are you even replying to now? Can you show me where I said that the WHO was withholding info from Trump? Look back... The WHO gave the entire world the worst advice possible. WHO: "No H2H, no need for travel bans, masks are bad." Trudeau: "Mange, mange, mange....COPY AND PASTE THAT, BITCH!" "Dr" Tam: "Yes sir m'lord sir. Way ahead of you sir. I'm an actual Dr., I always copy and paste what the WHO says." Trump: "GFYS. Not buying it. I'm banning travellers who have been to China within the past 14 days." WHO: "That's racist!" Trudeau: "That's racist!" Pelosi, 4 weeks later: "Hug as many people as you can in Chinatown." Trudeau 42 days after the travel ban: "We still haven't done anything to slow down the coronavirus from getting into Canada. Travel bans are still racist." Trudeau 3 days later: "I'm shutting down international travel from everywhere, because you know that it's just as important to stop people from Greenland as it is from Italy and China. Oh, and also, Canadians can't even walk in outdoor parks next week. Because it makes total sense that people could fly in from China this morning and waltz through the crowded airport, and Canadians can't even walk outside next week." Truth, with the benefit of hindsight, for people who were too dumb to notice two months ago: The WHO was 100% wrong about every piece of advice they gave. They are the main reason why there's a global pandemic. Thank god Trump didn't take their advice. If Trudeau acted quicker, like Trump did, he could have saved Canadians' lives. Trump: "I'm stopping funding to the WHO, pending an investigation into why every piece of advice they gave was wrong." Eyeball. "Trump needs to be investigated for not taking the bad advice from the WHO. Trudeau does not need to be investigated for following the worst advice in the history of medicine. Anyone who thinks that Trump did better than Trudeau is delusional." Eyeball - even with the benefit of hindsight you can't understand things that I knew two months ago. You should be asking me questions, not beaking off like a punk kid.
