We have a social safety net, and basic minimums for people with certain disadvantages, that's something we all agree on. All-out socialism is an all-out failure, all the time. Socialism, communism is a perversion of the independent human spirit. You and AOC get to give everyone the same result in life no matter how hard different people work. That creates a society of loafers, a society where doing more than the bare minimum doesn't gain you anything. But make no mistake, in Bernie's world, where 90% of the cash that goes around the country flows through the government's sticky little fingers, Bernie gets to live like an absolute King. It's a lot like the way Biden runs the gov't - you wanna get sweet deal with the US, get your communist bank to "invest" in our new startup. $1.5B is about the avg amount of money that the communist bank of China invests with American businesses lol. They were conceived in a world where slavery was completely normal and had been since the beginning of recorded history, 5,000 years earlier. The WHO, according to your fellow propaganda victim eyeball's links, was aware that covid was potentially a cataclysmic pandemic in NOVEMBER. At the beginning of February, that's over 2 full months later, they called a travel ban against the center of the virus epidemic racist. They didn't manage to figure out in that 2-month span that H2H transmission was occurring (remind me how they think that it had the potential to be a cataclysmic pandemic if the only way that you could get it was by handling bats in a wet market) and they never figured out that wearing masks was potentially beneficial, and you don't see a problem with that? Nothing at all? You don't see, in what I wrote there, that the WHO needs to be investigated? They're the ones who were in China, looking at data and investigating. Trump was 3,000 miles away, coming up with better ideas than their whole team of PhD-level "experts". Direct actions against covid are key facts. Trudeau took NONE until March 16th. Doing nothing until March 16th was purely idiotic. If you don't agree with that, it's just out of pure ignorance. Understanding that 1/3rd of Canada's population is inside of NYC every day, and the virus spreads faster among 11M people in 800 sq km than in 40M people in 11M sq km is just normal. The reason it didn't work is because China let their infected Wuhan citizens fly to other parts of the world after he had already stopped them from travelling within China. If travel bans are useless, then why do we have travel bans in place dialamah? Obviously after March 16th, when our country was already rife with the virus, it wa pretty useless, right? Trump's actions were ahead of the advice of the WHO and medical experts, get it? That's a fact. Trudeau's actions were all a step behind, do you get that? It's a fact. Why are you claiming that Trump should be so far ahead of the WHO and his own medical advisors? Why do you act like Trudeau did better than Trump, when Trump was so many steps ahead of Trudeau and the WHO? The WHO knew that there was a possibility of cataclysmic viral outbreak and they somehow figured that not taking any precautions was the best route. They even spoke out against basic things like wearing masks and eliminating international travel. Why don't we have international travel now dialamah?
