It's called fear mongering and that's one of the tools they use to justify killing. They didn't just start it in the last 100 years, they have been saying it since they started killing off the polytheists around Mecca. FYI, that happened before they knew about the USA. This new wave of massacring people and destroying everything related any other religion aside from Islam isn't so new, it's straight out of Mohammed's playbook.

You're right Big Guy, those songs are right on par with the acts of terrorism that are committed every day, all over the world where there are large muslim populations. Give yourself a pat on the back.
-
So you lack the list of similar quotes from the bible, do you want to compare a list of terrorist activities next?

Where do you get the impression that countries like Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, etc are a lot like Canada with regards to human rights and tolerance of minorities? Houses are a lot cheaper over there, maybe you should go live with those wonderful people for a while and share your stories of acceptance and brotherly love? Talk is cheap reefer, you wouldn't spend a week in any of those countries if it was free.

I'm well aware of the history of Islam, Mohammed, the Koran and the Hadith. Are you? Tell me what a wise and kind person Mohammed was, and how nice it would be if all muslims followed his example. Tell us how few people died in order for that religion to spread, and how they are the model for tolerance that is revered worldwide Reefer. I'll grant you that your post is not fear mongering but it reeks of naiveté.

Toronto School Board eyes "Afro-centric" school
WestCanMan replied to g_bambino's topic in Local Politics in Canada
What happened to sunny days? Isn't diversity supposed to be a source of strength? Can white kids get their own schools too? This is maybe the dumbest thing I've seen all week, and this is a week in which Donald Trump as been all over the news. -
Canada Needs Direct Election Of The Prime Minister
WestCanMan replied to Exegesisme's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Voting directly for the pm in our system 1) won't work because he has to have the support of the majority party and obviously the pc's wouldn't be working with Trudeau nor the libs with Harper 2) isn't such a big deal, just look at all the wonderful choices that the Americans have in front of them.- 195 replies

The media still has a huge crush on Trudeau so no one is holding his feet to the fire on this one, but this is a perfect example of him not having a clue what he is talking about. I don't have gov't connections, I have never hung out with an ex-pm who has tried to bring in thousands of refugees before, and yet I was still well aware of the fact that bringing in 35K refugees in less than 2 months was impossible. The village idiot is also the mayor here in Canada.

You guys are all getting too worried about the use of the term ghetto. The main problem with "ghettos" is not that an inferior race of people lives there, it's that people who live in ghettos are able to function primarily in their 1st language almost all of the time. That means that learning the language and culture of the rest of the country comes a lot more slowly to them than it would to people who tear off the band-aid more quickly by going out and living in a mixed environment. That creates obvious problems for them when they go seeking employment with their 100 word vocabularies. They can get stuck working in low paying jobs with other members of their culture where they still don't learn, and their children grow up in poverty which comes with it's own set of challenges. Another problem is that networking is a big deal. If you socialize with people who have good jobs, sooner or later your friends come up with opportunities for you. If your highest paid friend is working below the poverty line what chance is there that anyone in your social circle will be able to get you your big break? No, quebec isn't a ghetto, but if someone absolutely refuses to ever learn english then obviously they are just limiting their own career potential. Likewise if an english speaking person chooses to learn certain foreign languages it can open opportunities for them as well. Living in a bubble is rarely the best choice, but at the same time it's ridiculous that someone would have to learn Mandarin to be included in their Annual General Meetings. Common sense might be a good idea.

Like I mentioned in my last post, a party to a contract that doesn't have the capacity to understand it can't be bound by it. In Canada that means that it needs to be formed in either english or french unless all the parties to it agree to form it in another language. Any meeting that leads to the formation of a contract in an unofficial language won't hold up against english or french speakers in court. That's pretty basic imo. The strata needs to hold sessions which are closed to all non-members if they want to speak in Mandarin. I wish I had a vote at those meetings, they'd be epic.
-
You're wrong on all counts overthere. Strata Councils make decisions with the effect of enforceable legal contracts and as such they need to be conducted in an official language when participation from non council members is permitted, because contracts which cannot be understood are unenforceable. If a strata meeting is conducted as a closed-door session then it doesn't matter what language it is conducted in because noone else is affected.

The rules of political correctness only allow us to look down on groups that are comprised of 90% or more white males between the ages of 18 and 70. Don't you watch Oprah?
-
The hadith is probably the thing you are talking about. It's Islam 101 for how to behave and it's based on the life of Mohammed.
-
The decisions of strata councils have legal implications, and matters of law are conducted in our official languages. BC does not lack an official language lol. The BC Supreme Court is not going to conduct any hearings in Mandarin, and it's no small thing to allow any new languages to be considered official. We would need to have mandarin and punjabi writing on all our food labels, etc if we were to make those languages official and it's detrimental to the country as a whole to hamper the effective communication among canadians.

Religion is not founded on facts, research or experience. Religious persons have attitudes towards others who are not like them. Once a religist, always a religist. Facts or logic cannot change that attitude. Their research is based on looking for examples which reinforce their belief and any other research is discounted by them as "unfounded". Religists don't know that there is anything wrong with their thinking and will spend hours trying to rationalize it to others - and themselves. I say - let them be. They need someone to blame for their problems in life (religists are often successful in life, prayer is an effective goal-setting mechanism and hatred is a good motivator). Extreme religists believe that killing non-believers is noble and will gain them eternal riches and rewards. At least they keep themselves busy looking for some minority to blame and are too busy to bother most of us. Fortunately, there are none on this board.

In Canada we have "official languages" for conducting "official business" and it shouldn't take long to get an injunction preventing the strata council from conducting official business in Mandarin. This is a dangerous precedent that they are setting and I don't really care about the feelings of the strata council, they know this is an english speaking country.

http://www.tesfanews.net/eritrea-the-little-told-story-of-religious-co-existence/ ok, I will kind of shut up, but not really. There is a glimmer of hope. That was your eritrea link.

I just clicked the top link, same thing, but there is no name associated with it. Just "Staff Writer". It's worth noting that there is plenty of mention of hostility between Jews and Christians in those articles. My love of religion never seems to grow.
-
I just clicked one link, Christians and Muslims for Centuries, and it was just some guy named Fuad Nahdi who said that. That doesn't form the basis of a historical account imo.

did he ever marry anyone who would still be in elementary school?

It's all in the numbers dialamah, that's the thing. You don't call it a pattern when one group does something and 99.999% of the rest of the group is denouncing them. A cat in East Rutherford New Jersey made friends with a crow, therefor all cats are friends with crows. True or false? A cat in Boston Massachusetts ate a mouse. On that same day, tens of thousands of cats from all over the world ate mice, just like every other day for the last 1,500 years. 90% of the cats on earth actually didn't eat a mouse that day though, so it's safe to say that if you buy a cat it's not very likely to ever attack a mouse. True or false?

You're re-writing history if you want to say that the main strategy of spreading Islam has been to send out their followers in suits and dresses to be politely annoying like Jehovahs, born agains, etc. I have had wobbly pops in several countries that are dominated by christians and have yet to have Christian Police get up in my grill telling me to change my ways. Honestly dude you don't seem to make a single point with any merit, and you are making some ridiculous claims.
