Wet Got Bigger Problems Than George Floyd
WestCanMan replied to a topic in Federal Politics in the United States
En Englais s'il te plaît? The slogan illogically implies that black lives don't matter. We're not talking about libs and their abortion policies here, we're talking about police who risk their lives every day to help black people. It's idiotic and racist, and anyone who doesn't understand that is an idiot or a racist. -

As was pointed out, the Black Lives Matter slogan is entirely racist, and paints a very misleading picture of the state of affairs in the USA. Ironically the party who promotes that slogan is the one that kills black babies by the truckload. -

That's another disgusting lie Boges, you're far worse than the person you're falsely accusing. Trump didn't call the inner cities shitholes because he doesn't care about the people there, he said that they're shitholes because of their awful Democrat mismanagement: -

The Police Union in NYC, where the officers are unsupported by their mayor or any sort of National Guardsmen, who are getting pelted with debris and molotov cocktails, and widely hated by the MSM, should go on strike. Just let those smart-ass new yorkers, who don't need cops, see what life is like without them for a couple days. -

Did Trudeau Fail His Country On Covid-19

Liberal voters are just people who are easily led around by their emotions. Logic doesn't factor heavily into their thought process. Some people didn't see the logic of how bad the direction from Trudeau/Tam/the WHO really was at the onset, so when they look back on it with the benefit of hindsight they think it was a reasonable course of action to take at the time. They reacted to Trudeau's emotion about how "racist" a travel ban is and that's all they really care about. The emotional reaction to the gun ban is obvious. No matter what happens with guns, it's emotional. The true facts of the case just fall on deaf ears when you are competing with the shriek of "GUNS JUST KILL PEOPLE!!!!". Honestly, I'm starting to see Lib/Dem voters becoming so completely programmed by the MSM that it's at the point where they can be told absolutely any blatant lie and they'll believe it. I've gone from the point where, as a younger person I would have risked my life to protect this country to now, where if someone comes to take over I'd be really tempted to just join them. -

Lol, I made an obscure old man reference. There's an old movie called "Weekend at Bernie's" where some kids try not to let people know that their uncle is dead so they prop him up. That's basically what Biden is. -
Joe "Trojan Horse" Biden
WestCanMan replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
TBH, I don't see why the Dems would be propping him up like Uncle Bernie for any other reason. They must know by now that he's losing it. There's a video of him saying "I will beat Joe Biden in the next election!!!" lol. He didn't even catch himself saying it. He didn't double back, he just didn't even notice. Trump spends dozens of hours in front of cameras every week and he doesn't do anything like that. Biden is on TV for a couple of hours max, and he spits porridge on himself twice a week. When you start to need a bib, you're not fit to be elected anymore imo. -

So this is like CNN's New Clothes? Credibility is clothing? They don't have shoes on (they got caught lying about Russian collusion), they don't have a shirt on (they got caught lying about Ukrainian collusion), they don't have pants on (they got successfully sued by a high school kid for defamation of character) they don't have underwear on (they got caught lying about Kavanaugh), etc, etc. "There was no travel ban - Trump let Americans come home!!!!!!!" - CNN "Look at the Emperor's new story!!!! CNN has to be believed!" - eyeball -

Did Japan have a travel ban, or did they not? Did Taiwan have a travel ban, or did they not? Are you saying that travel bans weren't an effective part of Japan's fight against Covid? Are you saying that it's not important to ban travel from a place that's known to have a dangerous viral outbreak starting? What's your great plan eyeball? Can you tell me how Japan got it wrong, and how you'd do it better? Right from the start of the pandemic you had all the wrong guesses, you put your faith in people who were saying and doing the exact wrong things, and now with the benefit of hindsight, you still don't understand what really happened or you're just refusing to admit the truth. I know that you need to portray Trump as a huge, heartless dictator who'd throw anyone under the bus to save his own skin, but this topic leaves your fantasy unsupported. Trump understands that every American has the inalienable right to come home, travel ban be damned. Even our own PM, whose love of Canadians is questionable, allowed Canadians to return after he banned travellers from other countries (except on business). All the mature, intelligent people have moved past this point eyeball. You're the only holdout. -

That's an article, that's not proof fo anything. What's worse is that Comey is cited as a source in there, and Comey is a completely discredited political figure, not an actual law enforcement officer. I don't doubt that sinister people of every stripe would love to infiltrate the police departments of America, but this Floyd incident is not an example of "cops killing black people for sport" or whatever it is that you're insinuating. He's correct that the killings started the protest, but people who want justice for Floyd aren't looting stores and vandalizing businesses. Those are just idiots. Also your assertion that it was a racially-motivated killing is unsupported by evidence. You're correct to say that racists will freak out every time a black person is killed by cops, and that they won't bat an eye when a white person is killed by cops, that's why I don't support this bullshit at all. It's just a bunch of idiots with their heads up their asses who are total losers in life and just need to validate their own excuse for sucking. When people say "I'm a loser because cops hate us" I say you're half right. If I can pull up a site on the internet that "proves" the earth is flat, will that stop you from going on a cruise? What you don't get is that people who invest, network. You won't find wealthy businessmen who don't network. You yourself can join an investment group no matter what race or religion you are. When you're in an investment group you'll get information like: "There's a university being built in this area. Property values will increase drastically over the next few years". Or, "The Target in this neighbourhood has been burned down twice by rioters." You can decide where you want to invest yourself, or where you want to loan money. Try to make sure that everywhere you invest, there is a perfectly harmonious balance of races though, ok TDot? If you can afford to lose some money and you want to invest in a high-risk area, then buy something in Ferguson. You can get it cheap, and if things go well then you might make a lot of money. Then again, you could lose everything. But the point is, you won't buy there unless it's dirt cheap, and you won't give a 2nd mortgage there unless it's on punitive terms. Not because you're racist, but because there are other areas where you can invest your money where you're guaranteed to make money. Tina and Tony are professors in Orange County, they want a 2nd mortgage. John and Cindy-Rae work in a slaughterhouse in Ferguson. They want a 2nd mortgage too. You only have enough money to give one couple a 2nd mortgage. Don't be a redliner TDot, just flip a coin, and give the exact same mortgage terms to whoever wins, ok? If one couple is black and one couple is white, does it change where you want to invest your money? If it does, you're racist. If it doesn't, you have a good chance to make a decent sum of money. Smart capitalists don't discriminate, but they do educate. If you want to get a big-screen TV, get a good credit rating and be a responsible, dedicated hard worker. Or wait for the next riot to get your TV. It's 'Murica. -
Did Trudeau Fail His Country On Covid-19

I wouldn't blame him if this was a village and Dr Tam was our only Dr, but he has more than just her and the WHO to get info from. That would have me in hysterical laughter if not for the accompanying death toll. Not only is Canada 39th in population, 187th in pop density, and 11th in covid deaths, we are also a very wealthy country compared to a lot of the places that are just totally kicking our ass on covid. All things considered, we are definitely the worst imo. If we had a subway like NYC with 4.3M people riding it per day, in an area that's the size of Vancouver Island with 20M people, even our goldfish would all be dead. Covid viruses the size of VW beetles would be chasing us around like a bunch of Pacmans. I'm exaggerating, slightly. -

Your utter failure to make sense of what was going on was duly noted a few pages ago eyeball. We get it. We expected it. This ain't our first roedayoe. When Japan said that they weren't allowing travellers from Hubeii province do you think they banned their citizens from returning home? That's a pretty easy way to guarantee an election loss. When Canada banned travel do you think we told our citizens to stay the f out? No, we did not. The entire rest of the world understands this. You're literally the only person making this bizarre claim. -

Over 7,300 Canadians are dead now. I think it was used to target gangster/thug types. The irony of all the hatred against stop and frisk, is that (statistically speaking) most of the murders that were prevented by stop and frisk would have been committed against minorities. It's a 100% certainty that there are people who are alive and protesting against 'racist' stop and frisk who would be dead, or who have family members that would be dead, if it was never implemented. -

Redlining is not done by race, or religion, it is done by region. If you want to give out mortgages in the projects go for it. People who are smart enough to have enough money to give out mortgages don't want to and they don't have to. This is just as stupid as it could possibly be. My ten yr old wouldn't even ask me. How the hell do I know if a murder is racially-motivated, unless someone uses racial epithets while they're videotaped committing it? My name's no CNN. I don't just make shit up when I don't know the answer. The answer to your other question is of course the killings weren't legal or I wouldn't have brought them up. Lie. Are you honestly telling me that you don't know why Flynn is in jail after all this time? You've talked about it 100 times now. Lie. Cops treat people if they're respectful. Try being a punk next time a cop pulls you over. See how it goes. If that guy was a Somali, would you call that killing racist? Everyone who is calling the Floyd killing racist would 100% for certain say that it was, but none would admit that now that they know it wasn't. OMFG that's so idiotic I'm about to go crazy just reading this crap. It is two separate things. Yes, the killing was bad. That doesn't make stealing TVs justified. Grow up. No, that's just your idiotic comment. I'm saying that we see a bit at the beginning, then we see nothing til he's by the car. Did you see it all? Every second from the very beginning of the encounter? Can you paste a link then? Even on Crapaganda Not News I didn't see the whole thing. And it's from the very beginning to the end? Link plz. That's another lie about the "conservative response". No one says he deserved it. No one said that people who resist "deserve to die". You're just lying again, as usual. Conservatives: "If people resist, the cops have to get physical, period. They just have to do it within reason. This killing was completely outside of the boundaries of 'within reason'". But I will never believe that he didn't resist at all at any time unless I see the whole encounter from start to finish, because I still haven't seen a video of a cop not having reason and then getting physical. There should be lots of inciting incidents to protest police brutality. There aren't. I don't think that his life was worth so much more than another man's just because of the colour of his skin. That's where we differ. This quote illustrates the worth of your opinions to a tee. -

Wrong. For 3 years there was widespread rioting and looting in the US. This is nothing compared to Ferguson. The difference between Trump's and Obama's response to the rioting is already evident. The National Guard is already out in many places pre-empting heavy rioting and looting. When Obama was potus the rioting and looting went on completely unchecked for 3 years. -

If you go back and look at this again I think you'll see some things that you'd reconsider. You need to stick that idiotic "white privilege" comment where the sun doesn't shine. My family has fought in wars and worked in coal mines and sawmills and all those fun things that are not the result of privilege. On average the people in my family work more than 40 hrs/week. If your family is part of some racist group that conveys privileges to it's members then you can speak to that personally but don't include me in it, thanks. No one is comfortable dealing with police. Flynn though that he could trust the FBI, they were crooked AF. You always have to be very mindful of what you say and just remember that getting wrongfully thrown in jail isn't the worst thing that can happen to you. Are you honestly saying that you've never seen the police murder a white person? I don't go looking for such things but I can recall 4 right now and I know there are more. The police in Vancouver were even caught in Canada murdering "a white person" a few years ago and they hardly ever kill anyone in Canada. Then there was the Dazanski thing in the airport where after 10 hrs the cops never thought to try to find someone who could speak polish, they eventually killed that guy. For some reason they didn't have someone working at the 3rd largest international airport in Canada that could translate. They didn't have anyone on call. It's stupid. This is just counter-productive drivel that comes from people whose pov is maxed at about 8 feet. The rioting and the incident are two separate things. Just because one is wrong doesn't mean both are wrong. There was never a need for any rioting at all over the Michael Brown shooting. He was a violent person who tried to take the gun from a cop in his car. He would have been shot if he was a white Senator from a wealthy old-money family. But the victim narrative is so sexy and so powerful that the media can't resist. Until we get to see footage that goes right from the start of this situation to the end we'll never really know what happened. We see a bit, then we don't see anything until he's on the ground. He must have resisted at some point but we don't see it. That doesn't mean that the cops didn't kill him, because they clearly did, but right now people are responding to a guy who was on his best behaviour for the whole time and 52 years of life experience tells me that's not the case either. I've seen plenty of videos that are edited to make police look bad. It's a full-time job for some people. I've even seen video of what some people consider police abuse where the police are being yelled at and wrestled with the whole time. SOme people just don't understand that being a cop isn't super-duper easy. Remember when, just a few months ago, it was considered sporting to throw water on police? Did you see the videos of cops leaving when people were dousing them? There are a-holes on both sides of this story, more on one than the other. -

I checked into it. If his VP resigns after the election, he can appoint whomever he wants, and they don't have to have been elected anywhere else at any time. The only stipulation is that Congress and the Senate both have to approve the appointment. If his VP resigns the day of the election, before he is elected, I'm not sure if he still requires approval.
