Well done Israel. Now cut off the head of this evil Octopus in Tehran. -
Your thoughts on the next Federal Government.
CITIZEN_2015 replied to CITIZEN_2015's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There are plenty. And it was exactly for those reasons that Harper's huge majority in 2011 was wiped out in 2015 after 4 years of Harper majority into a Liberal majority. Yes I very much oppose Liberal immigration policies but I don't wish to give a blank cheque. Minority governments do a lot better -
Israeli PM made a great speech in the UN today. Islamic Republic behind attacks on Israeli civilians since October 7, including murder and rape of women and burning of the entire families. There is no place in Iran where the long arms of Israel cannot reach if Islamic Republic attacks Israel. The world must end its policies of appeasement with the evil Islamic Republic. The world must support the brave people of Iran in their struggle for democracy and freedom to overthrow the evil regime of Islamic Republic. Iran is advancing its ballistic missile and nuclear weapon programs is a threat to the whole world and not just Israel. The world must stand with Israel and brave people of Iran to remove the evil Islamic Republic for their own sake and not just for the sake of Israel.

Your thoughts on the next Federal Government.
CITIZEN_2015 replied to CITIZEN_2015's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I do agree if election is held today the Conservatives will form a majority government with 40+% of votes, but election day is 6 to 12 months from now and a lot can change. For a minority they just need to drop by 6 to 8% and with inflation and interest rates falling rapidly and scare tactics opposition parties can use to scare voters into not voting a majority (like the cut and burn PP is promising) they will succeed to create a small dent into that 42% support during the one to two months long campaign. Remember even Harper was elected first time as a minority government. -

CITIZEN_2015 replied to CITIZEN_2015's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
When it come to actual voting many Canadians will think twice before giving a blank cheque to Conservatives. Many remember the dark days of Harper majority government. Besides there are a number of months till the election day and the economy is rapidly recovering with inflation below 2% on election day and interest and mortgage rate down again close to historic lows by mid next year and rapid employment gains. Liberals already taken concrete steps to curb student visa and temporary workers which was of deep concern to many Canadians and much more is needed. -
Vietnam war was a useless war resulted in many deaths most of them civilians and a sample of atrocities committed by an arrogant power, the US against a small nation. It also resulted in the deep recession of the late 70's and early 80's in the West lasting two decades.

Why it's 'very hard' to find work in Canada
CITIZEN_2015 replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why it is hard to find work in Canada? It is because of unpopular government immigration policy. Too many immigrants are imported many of those from China and India have higher educations with university education. The students visa work permits and temporary workers hundreds of thousands each year taking away needed jobs from Canadians citizens. There are not much jobs needing university degrees and those available, Canadian born and long time citizens have to compete with those who never contributed to Canada and just landed, thanks to Liberal immigration policies past 9 years. -
Like Trudeau, Poilievre also loses by-elections.

Poilievre is an opportunist who wants the power at any cost. He reminds me of dark days of Harper government. -
3 Work Days a week Too Much for the PS
CITIZEN_2015 replied to ExFlyer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Again it is important to clarify the misleading concept that it is NOT 3 days a week working which the thread title says. It is 5 days working per week but 3 days of that in the office and 2 days of that from home which is working also and weekly progress work needs ro be submitted to supervisors at the end of the week. When working from home, employees are monitored by supervisors also to ensure they are logged in and working. -
3 Work Days a week Too Much for the PS
CITIZEN_2015 replied to ExFlyer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Work from home does not mean no work. It means working but from home to save on wasteful driving time and parking cost. They still have to work 5 days a week and report equivalent of 5 days work to supervisors at the end of every week and this has been the case ever since the beginning of pandemic.. In addition, I hear that the work place has changed for everyone. PS workers mostly engaged with heavy computer work now have to work in an open space without any private offices in a noisy shared environment. PS workers are claiming they are more productive working from home and maybe the noisy working environment is the reason for that but I think the real reason for government push is complains from local business losing money. PS workers don't have sympathy for local business to make sacrifices so that they make bigger profits, Though latest polls indicate a majority conservative government but I am not so sure as on the election day most Canadians will think twice before giving a blank cheque to conservatives. The nightmare of the majority Harper government is still fresh in the minds of most Canadians. A likely minority government cannot cut and burn the Public Service as described in the OP. -
What makes you proud to be Canadian...
CITIZEN_2015 replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
He is mentally sick. He is not liked or even rarely responds to his intentionally inflammatory very offensive prejudicial hateful comments and I am sure in his real life people avoid him or try to stay clear of him. He blames his failures on immigrants. Easy targets. He is talking to himself. Most often I don't even read his posts as I am sure many others don't either. The moderators however allow him to post nonsense and hateful comments as they want volume. -
Happy Anniversary Michael !

You are so fu*ked up in your retarded brain that everything you assumed from my posts and said in your post above you got it wrong. There is not a single factual statement in your post. The only thing you didn't call me was a terrorist or Nazi or fascist but yes I know why. Those words are exclusively reserved for you yourself. I guess I should be sorry for you but you are not mentally challenged for who I have lots of respect and sympathy. You are fu*king retarded in real sense and a loser in life hated by everyone who surrounds you and you blame everyone else for your loses in life. You can't get even one thing right among tens of claims you made about someone you never met or know. -

Proud to be a citizen of a country which 1 - Is respected but not hated throughout the world as a peaceful country. 2 - The land of freedom for its citizens and all those suppressed in their homeland, especially women. 3 - The land of opportunity if you are willing to work hard. 4 - The land that stands for democracy, freedom and equality. 5 - The land of cultural diversity. God bless our land forever. -
Jagmeet Pulls Out of Deal with Liberals
CITIZEN_2015 replied to ExFlyer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It can't possibly be end of October. We are already in September. Even if government is defeated today, it will be at least 2 months for campaign till election day. -
The last vote on Capital Punishment in the House of Commons was when he was the Prime Minister and a majority Conservative government and though he didn't force his MPs to vote against it but he campaigned hard against it and stood tall during the voting to show others that he is dead against it. He had a majority and he could just witness it happening with not interfering.
