  1. Why not just link one actual reference instead of personal a enecdotes and axioms?
  2. Clearly no science was muzzled. If scientists had. then been unmuzzled, we would have seen a plethora of published articles, yet diamelah cannot provide one. Literally, not one.
  3. kPersonal anecdotes from Liberal scientists in the CBC does not prove I am partisan to a fault. However...... You have changed th goal posts. You are the one who has made a claim and supplied no relevant information backing it. The OP stated that there had not been a muzzle in the first place and it was just more HDS from the left, which your links helped verify. Please stay on topic. No one was discussing whether science was happening under Harper.
  4. ? So according to you Harper did not allow Statistics to be updated? Clearly, again, you are using personal anecdotes.
  5. What is there to be emberassed about? He asked what science had been unmuzzled and was given five personal experiences, not five scientific studies that had been declassified. Clearly, diamelah cannot show even one instance of scientific unfettering. Ouch. Emberassing indeed.

  7. So,inciting hatred via speech is clearly not permissible, but "all" Ernst Zundel did was state the holocaust didn't happen. Not enough to be jailed in Canada imo, yet he was. In Germany where he was jailed for 5 years for this there is a law specific to this. http://www.fpp.co.uk/Auschwitz/Zundel/Weber200903.html https://www.thestar.com/news/world/2010/03/01/holocaust_denier_ernst_zundel_released_from_prison.html Does this mean we are less tolerant of free speech? .
  8. Sorry, I had read many articles reporting the story that day and just perused the one I actually posted. My bad. "But he was finally snared by police for inciting support for ISIS in a series of online lectures." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3732890/Anjem-Choudary-GUILTY-inciting-support-ISIS.html
  9. Recently, Anjem Choudary was jailed for asking his supporters to support ISIS. I agree with free speech and abhor censorship, but feel this was the right call. Any opinions? http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-33784926

The economy is formed by people at its core. Immigrants are people, often with money, skills, and purchasing power.

Smallc, please explain how your answer helps make sense of bringing immigrants in for a negative job situation. Zero sum game is a ridiculous statement.

More people bring the need for more jobs. It's also worth noting that the unemployment problem is a short term one. What we're really facing is a labour shortage in the medium to long term.

Mark my word, the Ontario Liberals will be re-elected on the strength of their promise to provide free tuition for all.

    4. Ash74

Yes, despite the very best efforts of the Liberals.

The free tuition is a myth but nobody has noticed. Even Wynne admitted she was nervous about calling it "Free"

  15. I live in Cambridge, and our rate is 19.332/kw hour. I looked it up for comparison, and people in Winnipeg pay just over 9.02/kwh. It is no wonder the manufacturing sector is fleeing Ontario.
  16. Just watched Room. Very disturbing. Not best picture quality though. I think the Revenant has a good shot for best pic, director, and actor.
  17. The moderation has let go an absolute plethora of Harper denigration.
  18. "What do you expect him to do, come up with his hands in the air? I mean it's a war. They're shooting at him. Why can't he shoot at you? If you killed three, why can't he kill one? Why is it, why does nobody say you killed three of his friends? Why does everybody say you killed an American soldier? Big deal."

  19. sigh. The ME has been fighting for over 1400 years, Hardly the wests` fault.
  20. "Criminal actions resulting in some hundreds of assaults... and yes, some "handful" of actual reported rapes... relative to that 1.1 million figure" You are still minimizing. I could put the whole sentence in, and it still shows you believe a ""handful" of actual reported rapes" is acceptable given the number of refugees.
  21. I quoted you. Clearly, you believe it.
  22. "and yes, some "handful" of actual reported rapes... relative to that 1.1 million figure" You clearly believe that a "handful" of rapes is acceptable collateral damage to the number of refugees.
