You've looked up conjecture then have you?

The scientific method doesn't tell people what to do. If a scientist is claiming 'the science says we should do X' then they are not following the scientific method.

  1. Why the sarcasm Big Guy when all Scribblet did is ask you to back up a claim you had made. Clearly, you could not/should not have the information you cited. No need for sarcasm.
  2. All four major papers here in Ontario are talking about it.
  3. We're worrying about Margaret Atwood's opinion why? While you're at it, how about an opinion from Naomi Klein or Harsha Walia?
  4. "I am a great believer in luck. The harder I work, the more of it I seem to have." Stephen Leacock.
  5. First, the hypocrisy is the main point, dollar amount secondary. All reports stated they received less on night shift, so I take it in fact they are there 24 hours a day as are most live-in nannies. If you've ever had a job, you'd know you get paid for vacation. If you are paid $20/hr, it is costing your employer around $27/hr as they pay for comp etc. So, it's costing less than I quoted, but a site more than you did. Regardless, he campaigned that millionaires don't need $160 a month, but gifts himself thousands a month? You're right, the foolishness never ends.
  6. Liberals try to make this into nothing, yet I've heard Duffy comments for years now. So, Duffy paid 90k back. Trudeau, after saying people like himself shouldn't get $160 a month child tax credit. What does he give himself instead? Two nannies at an average of $15./hr considering $20 max and $11/hr min(which is illegal) The lower end is for night shift. Nannies twentyfourseven. So what does it cost? 30($ X two nannies) X24(hrs in a day) X30(days in a month)= $21,600 X 12(months in a year) = $259,200 He is charging the Canadian taxpayer $259,200 a year on child care. Kind of a big deal.
  7. He said he didn't need child care subsidy. Kind of all over his campaign rhetoric.
  8. Dude, yes he is. He campaigned on not doing what every other PM did. What don't you understand? Ok wait, he's a liar. So maybe he really isn't doing anything differently.
  9. JT is the current PM of Canada. He got that job by saying that the 1% of people. the rich, didn't deserve freebies. Like free child care. He is of that 1%. He is collecting free child care, therefore he is a liar. Surprise, surprise.
  10. Were they on the payroll? 40 hrs? I remember my first part time job.
  11. Your misandrist views are showing again.
  12. He's paid $350k a year and is given free housing, food, etc. Most Canadians get under $89k a year, pay for housing, food and clothing, and have to pay for child care as well. Most Canadians did not run on a platform of "Real change". Wait, Harper didn't rape Canadians at every turn-donating all proceeds from his hockey book to veterans is but one example-so I guess "Real change" is exactly what happened.
  13. Only mothers have cared for children full time? Ppl who go to work to pay for this ridiculousness have no say?
  14. The NDP are after JT for only paying nannies $20 an hour. Could you imagine the wreckage of this country if they had been voted in. After all, it`s only taxpayers money that`s being used.

So, according to Squid, no matter what JT does, it's "but Harper".

I'm still waiting for him to tell us how Harper benefited personally from those deficits. Morneau is already ditching the campaign deficit projections.

Hopefully now we can begin to clean up the wreckage caused from voting in Harper.

  15. Waldo's back hey! Defending the ne'er do wells of the left. Evil Harper wrote a book and donated all the proceeds to vets, and changed pension allotments which cost him a million bucks personally. But he's evil hey! You think we should get past a multi millionaire charging charities and orphanages 20k and up to speak while being paid, who gets voted in on "Real change" then has the uber audacity to charge us for his daycare while gettting paid $350k a year? Listen, we know the 350 a year hardly covers what he has to pay in taxes on his millions, but he needs to suck it up and try to stand on his own. Daddies been dead a while now. Time to grow up, leader of Canada, and look after your own children.
  16. He was charging 20k to speak at orphanages so this really isn't surprising.
  17. You are per-emptively giving thumbs up to tax grabs now? You'd best change that smallc to a capitalL son.
  18. So, broken promises are acceptable, as long as they're the right ones? And the spirit of his campaign was to keep promises. Another broken one.
  19. Noooo They promised ten k What the Liberals are delivering after promising 25k
  20. Funny then that the Libs are doing what the Cons promised.
  21. A few things. Tar is put on roads. They get oil out of the ground in Alberta. And really, a Liberal giving graft to construction companies in Quebec is not even discussion worthy. It's a fact of paying taxes in Canada that the hoods in Quebec are gonna get richer. Our oil sands are a lot cleaner than California's. What would you have him do, shut down an industry that produces thousands of jobs and revenues that help keep the country running?
