  1. Statistics show the most tweeted potential PM tonight was Muclair at the exact time he talked about closing tax loopholes and havens. He remained the most searched leader for the debate. TM won this one in my opinion. Edit; Actually I stand corrected the most tweeted potential PM was May. With more tweets than all of them combined.
  2. Now your analogy is just falling apart.... so your willing to pay people money to try and eradicate Muslims for the rest of your life? Well that's pretty stubborn seeing as how it won't work.
  3. It's this kind of thinking that gets us no where as a civilized society. When religious people make it taboo to talk about religion because they know if we do it just falls apart. You'll never defeat extremist religious views with that kind of attitude. It's our business because we make it our damn business. All religions deserve to be ridiculed at every turn.
  4. But is that really the best way to deal with it. The quick release of death is enough punishment for these men that already take life so callously? Maybe we should give them some sort of painful disease. One that keeps them alive for a long time but can prolong suffering. Because that to me is punishment. Death is no punishment for these types of people. It's a way out.
  5. For someone like me that doesn't believe in God or an afterlife. The Death Penalty seems to easy of a way out. So some monster goes and kills a child and then we kill him effectively relieving him of any wrong doing. If there is no afterlife he just ceases to exist. There has to be a better more effective way of punishing this guy, something that involves punishment in this life. Not a fake punishment in the next.
  6. If we want to look at the bible and history lets look at the beginning shall we. In Genesis 1:1, the earth and "heaven" are created together "in the beginning," whereas according to current estimates, the earth and universe are about 4.6 and 13.7 billion years old, respectively. So right away we have a discrepancy. In Genesis, the earth is created (1:1) before light (1:3) and the sun and stars (1:16); birds and whales (1:21) before reptiles and insects (1:24); and flowering plants (1:11) before any animals (1:20). The order of events known from science is completely different which means that the word of God, is wrong. So if we are to take the bible literally we already have a discrepancy in what God says and what actually happened. So either he's lying to us, or he's not all omniscient or he'd know he is wrong or the God of the bible is just a bunch of crap. My guess is answer number 3.
  7. It's a good thing your lawn doesn't cover the entire earth. You could eek out your existence trimming it till you croak then your kids could take over but you'd still never cut it all.
  8. You could try but even if you succeed there will be more. You could kill them too, but more would eventually pop up. You will never win this war, this has been proven. But Conservatives love to beat an immortal horse...
  9. That's nice. The right is waging a war against a religion in the age of the internet. You'll never destroy Islam, you may slow it down if you kill every Muslim on the planet but again good luck with that.
  10. You can kill every last Muslim on the planet. There will be more. You're grand kids generation or their grand kids generation will eventually have some Muslims, more and more will pop up. You'll never get rid of Islam. Not for the remainder of humanities existence. But could luck with that...
  11. Don't get me wrong I despise all religions. But you won't destroy a religion by killing all it's members. Religions spread. You have to defeat the ideas it's hard to do that when you would rather shoot them than sit down and talk to them and of course vice versa. Conservatives and religious extremists are so one in the same in that sense. They shoot first and don't care to ask any questions. You could send every last western troop on earth to the ME and kill every single last Muslim you find. But I guarantee you it pops up again all over the World in short time. That is what you people don't understand. This war will last forever and some clever people with a lot of money have figured that out and have thus engineered ways to profit from it endlessly and you just fill their pockets with your support.
  12. They're scared of Islam extremism because it's the new enemy. But mostly because they have no goddamn clue how to stop it. They're terrified because this time it's not a political ideology they're fighting, it's a religious one. One they can't destroy by just killing everyone that believes in it or toppling it's government and that is the only way they know how to deal with something, violence. They're so scared of it they will give up their civil liberties one by one until there is nothing left. Little do they know that won't stop it either. But they feel safe in their secure stupidity.
  13. So you people would rather die than live in a world controlled by ISIS?
  14. I'm not even going to start on that one. Nice try though.
  15. Harper just made a few of my friends Second Class citizens...
  16. I read an article yesterday about how in 2014 the average CEO made 300 times as much as their average worker. Just after WW2 this number was only 40 times as much as the average worker. That is a 260 times increase in 69 years. If you want to know why corporations aren't investing in as much R&D anymore just ask their CEO's. Maybe it's high time we put a % cap on CEO earnings. Might see some of that money being put to good use within the company instead of being spent on a holiday home in the Caymans. It takes the CEO of CPR 1.5 hours to make as much as the average Canadian ($46,634) He makes about 900 times as much as the average Canadian annually ($49,151,065).
  17. Exactly. All wars have consequence. Just because you defeated the enemy doesn't you won't suffer more extreme consequence than if you left that enemy alone. Out of the Suddam we have ISIS. I'll take Saddam every damn day of the year over ISIS.
  18. It just isn't needed. We can do everything we need to without giving authority more power. This is one of the things Osama had in mind when launching his attack against America. Get them to give away their freedom to authority. Make us more like them. Makes their takeover that much easier. The security measures are already in place.
  19. I meant the 2nd Bush one. First one of the 2000's. Even the original Bush invasion had some bad long lasting effects that are still felt today...
  20. Maybe they don't love the country. Not everyone is a Nationalist.
  21. You're tossing in things that have never happened here. Kangaroo attacks happen is Australia should we beware of those in Canada too? Is there a terrorist possibly lurking on every roadside? Well there is a Moose possibly lurking on every roadside. Better watch out! The fact is we stopped all of that from happening without needing any more powers. Which is a testament to how much we really don't need any more powers to stop those things from happening. it's a waste of time and money and pandering to a frightened little voting base.
