  1. They said that about the first invasion in Iraq too. You can kill as many people as you want but you'll never kill the ideology. We'd be better off trying to convert them into Atheists.
  2. Because it's useless. It's a waste of time and money. Our time and money.
  3. Good luck with that. America has been trying to police the internet for the last 15 years to no avail. You think Canada will do any better? It's a waste of time and money to police the internet. Vigilante groups like Anonymous do a better job outing these guys than Canadian agencies do. http://mic.com/articles/112944/anonymous-went-after-the-islamic-state-with-a-massive-hack-but-was-it-a-good-idea
  4. You won't catch those that want to stay hidden though. That's the point. When the hacking group Anonymous, mostly made up of people with a lose affiliation with each other and very little money to back their endeavors can make our government and spy agencies look pretty amateur and they still can't figure out who they are. What makes you think they can use the internet and prying eyes to find members of terrorist organizations with millions and even billions of dollars at their disposal to mask their trails. It's an exercise in futility. We should leave the spying up to the Americans. They already filter every Canadian email as it is anyways.
  5. I can respect that decision. I don't expect the power to be abused but I don't expect it to not be abused either.
  6. But if that mathematical relationship is equated with terrorism you're willing to go all in? You can't see every possible Moose that could jump in front of your car but you still drive. You are unwilling to help save yours and others lives by putting up a fence from a tangible threat. One who kills far more than any terrorist has in this country, yet you cling to the idea of fighting terrorism more.
  7. They aren't just from Syria there are many from Iraq too. When someone is fleeing a war, they are considered a refugee. But with that attempt you will undoubtedly create more refugees and people fleeing these war torn areas. This is and always was inevitable.
  8. You're more likely to be killed by a Moose in a head crash every year on the number #1 highway. Let's spend all of our money putting up wildlife fences. We'd save more lives.
  9. So your wife's brother only goes to have unprotected sex?
  10. Well these migrants are because of war. So logically if you keep fighting a war there will be more refugee's.
  11. So then what you're saying is it's a pointless waste of money and time?
  12. If not that then I'm guessing your church group told you all of this.
  13. It might be an eternity but I think Harper needs more time than that to salvage this election.
  14. You get the odd supporters in the interior. You're typical backwoods, don't take my guns types with the Confederate flags in their windows. And up north it's hard to tell. But in the cities it's pretty anti-Harper everywhere you look.
  15. So almost half of Canadians think the best way to end the migrant crisis is to create more migrants?
  16. hahaha please tell me you are the guy that yells at kids from his rocking chair on the porch?
  17. He'll be gone. I travel frequently from BC through Alberta all the way to Western Manitoba. I see more support for every other party but the Conservatives. I have no doubt in my mind that if they are done out West, they are done period.
  18. Security is a major issue for SOME Canadians. Not all. I for one feel perfectly safe and always have with or without Harper and all his bills. No one is coming after me. I'm not that important and neither are you or anyone else on this forum. You should feel safe in your insignificance more than anything Harper will do for you.
  19. I don't think you'll find a dictionary on earth that defines capitalism that way.
  20. It's not always about pay. Benefits, location, current money situation, convenience and families have huge impacts on where people can and are willing to work. I've turned down higher paying jobs in Ontario simply because I don't want to live in Ontario.
