  1. You seem to be showing far too much concern for other individual posters when you should be sticking to the topic. It's not grade schoolish, it's politics that you don't agree with. Maybe read Bob Macadoo's comment to understand the difference between an attack on Peter McKay as opposed to what you seem to want to consistently keep on doing? Thanks!
  2. You need to try to attack RT for their opinions, not me. Are you capable of doing that and are you capable of understanding what RT is saying or is it just a kneejerk rejection of anything that comes out of Russia? You see, it's not good enough to just keep on criticizing RT with no substance. If you want to remain credible then you are going to have to apply yourself and actually read and try to understand what they are suggesting. That's what I've been doing with US media and will gladly continue to do. How do you want to be seen on this forum? I want to be seen and regarded as credible and I want people who think my comments aren't credible to challenge them. Not just keep up the mindless babbling of Russia bad, US good, blah, blah, blah. So let me help you to understand, considering that you are demonstrating that you really haven't been capable so far. I'm not going to convince any of the people on this forum of anything. Everyone has long ago become entrenched in their dogma. I will be able to discredit them and show that they lack any meaningful intelligence or capability and that may play alright with others who come here to read. Or maybe it won't and it'll just make me happy? Do you actually disagree with anything that RT said in that link? Do you understand what they mean and what they are saying. Here's your chance, show us what you're made of.
  3. You sure don't pull any punches when you show your disdain for Indians. I would imagine that any people who differ from you would also be considered worthless and uncivilized too. Showing such deep seated hate and disdain for people only because they don't have toilets says a lot about you. Is that your 'peace and order' schtick you're trying to hide behind. Peace, Order, and Good Government. It sounds to me that you're really advocating war and unrest, disorder over harmony, and a government that dictates your terms to others. I've found that those who take the time to profess their preferences in the way you do are usually the very ones who would support the complete opposite. You only want to compare Western society with everyone else and there are no shades of grey with you. . It's a learned thing. It's nurture over nature. Nobody's born that way.
  4. The guy's a transplanted Kurd living in America. He says: Which is referring to Saudi as the kingdom so it has little to do with Iraq where Shia and Christians were accepted in Iraq society by Saddam. I have some difficulty in taking it as anything more than a Kurd's POV, even though it comes off as being rather informed. Not terribly important though and not worth reading too much into in my opinion if he's to credited with that quote. As to his submissions on ISIS, as deep as it gets, he should have tried to stick with that. As for comparing that with what RT tells us, at least RT makes some important submissions that are a little more enlightening than the height of the hills. Accept them or reject them, but do it with substance. That's all I'm interested in on this thread. Or, if you like, point out what your article is saying that makes it so convincing for you. it just didn't do much for me.
  5. On Gusrd for Thee, That's no something I would expect to hear from an adult but I understand that it's based on your own paranoid feelings of RT news. It comes off as a resentment of RT too because none of what I've posted from that source has been rebutted in any way. They all just scream, is not, is not. You probably don't fit on this thread but I'll leave that up to you. Actually I didn't get into this with the intent of convincing anybody of anything. I have no interest in making friends either. And as to what the topic is, it's the submissions being made by that link. Would you like ,e to break it down into the separate submissions it makes or would you like to just take it on your own? dre, I appreciate your comments because you show no fear of not following along with the US propaganda machine. And make no mistake, I'm not assuming that you agree with it all. I'm not sure I do either but I'm interested in finding out and will gladly accept any kind of rebuttals anyone makes. Remiel, Thanks for the link. I'll read it but does it disagree with the RT link in any significant way. Argus and Shady, the usual.
  6. http://rt.com/op-edge/168064-isis-terrorism-usa-cia-war/ Could we limit this thread to people over the age of 18 and to people who can read? Not just the title of the article but the ideas expressed in the rest of it. I'll save my own comments for anything worthwhile that can come out of this. Think of it as a challenge to those who consider themselves educated and aware of the situation in the ME. And for others, I would hope that you take any worthwhile comments coming out of this as a chance to learn something. Please don't spam this thread with off topic comments. I'm going to be asking the admin to take notice and step on those that do. An experiment is elevating the level of discourse on this forum. Thanks!
  7. This isn't about me so this time I'll report you for your personal attack. Stop it.
  8. Throw out all references to the word 'troll' and throw out any silly notion that there is such a thing as a 'troll' on any forum. It's never a valid charge and is always a lame reaction to an opinion of another poster to which the person making the charge doesn't agree. But most important, it is very often abused by a forum's admins and mods in order to move on a poster who is not being politically correct for the forum. (this isn't said with the intent of hinting at this forum's admin, mods.) I do have a personal cause in mentioning it though. I've been politically incorrect with my opinions on some forums and have ended up being banned for it. The only charge the admins or mods could dredge up was some phony charge of trolling. It's no great secret that having people banned from a forum is a delight to some people. That's the ones that will start screeching in desperation to have somebody punished for being a troll. I would appeal to this forum to be able to rise above that kind of nonsense.
  9. And so the West gives them something to defend against. Does anybody in the right mind still think that they would be the least concerned with what we are doing in North America if we didn't give them cause to be concerned. And so the rhetoric goes, that it's Islam we need to protect their people against. Or in a more rhetorical manner, we need to help the women who wear the burquas, even though they want to wear them. Because it's a part of their religious beliefs that we don't want to accept. It's all cheap rhetoric because all we really want is a reason to go to war with them. Be careful of how you phrase your own rhetoric because sometimes the truth comes through quite accidentally.
  10. This isn't about me so stop the personal attacks. Zero tolerance from me from now on. Thanks!
  11. Nothing. Find somebody to deny it for you and then debate it.
  12. I'm truly embarrassed for you now. However, if given a choice of who's got their shit together on this forum, I wouldn't count you out as being right up there. It's just that you shouldn't show your ignorance through defeatist comments such as that. We'll work on it!
  13. There dozens of cites and references to what I claimed. And much more! So it's just not worth my time to prove it with references. Better that you try to debate those facts. And as I've said many times, Saddam had succeeded in bringing relative peace and prosperity to his country after the Iran/Iraq war. I'll stay away from the complicated stuff such as US involvement in promoting that war, complete with supplying chem/bio weapons to both parties. Stephen Pelletiere, way over your head for right now. We can work on it though if you are persistent and want to know.
  14. And again you shoot your own foot off by referring to the humanitarian aid as nonsense. Your defence of the US by comparing to Canada just won't work for you. You have to understand that honest Canadians are not going to pretend that we are guilt free. So it's always going to be a mutual condemnation of the US. The only honest and reasonable argument we Canadians can advance is to say that the US far exceeds Canada in evil on all fronts. There's something for you to challenge.
  15. All you need to know about Americans' satisfaction with their health care system. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2012/11/15/six-out-of-every-seven-doctors-agree-our-health-care-system-doesnt-work/ Don't doubt the 15% who know it's the best!
  16. And no concern whatsoever with the lives of the people in the country's where the US goes to pursue it's interests. Thanks for the honesty from the indoctrinated! I only wonder now whether or not your reputation on this forum is going to cause people to take you seriously. I sure hope so because nothing I've saic could be so direct and to the point.
  17. One issue at a time. What I'm saying is that the US promoted the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and April Glaspie blew the whistle on that fact. And that the US worked diligently behind the scenes to coerce the Kuwait monarchy to slant drill into Iraq territory and to disallow Iraq from access to the ocean, and several other reasons that are now part of history. And you've got the wrong thread. For an in depth discussion start a thread or use the existing Iraq one. Tell the US apologists that. Some of them think Osama was working for the Saudi monarchy! duhhhhhhhhhh! If you're going to address me with that kind of history then it might pay for you to first fink out what side I've taken?
  18. In brief, it went something like this: The US prevented the UN from acting to stop the genocide in Rwanda. Gen. D'allaire wrote a book about it. http://www2.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB53/index.html Damn facts always get in the way!
  19. Some would question why the US got involved in the first place. A sure way to not be 'damned' is to keep out of ME oil rich countries. Pity the US for being damned after all their humanitarian efforts! When people deliberately stand under US bombs, there's nothing the US could have done. It was the same as people deliberately standing under Nazi bombs. Stupid women and children can't be helped. LOL
  20. What are you talking about? Do we have to go back to zero in our understanding of the situation in Syria? Can we ever start taking some things for granted as being understood?
  21. Watch for those who pretend to throw up their hands in frustration and use the pretence of 'them' not valuing life', not being the same as us, etc. Ignorants, thugs, criminals, fanatics, murderers, or not the same as us. These are some of the descriptions, but no all, that are used by those who have been propagandized into being able to justify murder by the US military that is being carried out all over the world. I'm only trying to keep it front and center in the spotlight of global politics. At least it might embarrass those on this forum who constantly use the tactic.
  22. How about if everybody starts out with an understanding that indeed the US has been meddling in Syria for years, the US announced plans long ago to topple it's government, the US needs to prop up a Syrian government that isn't sympathetic to Russia, and the US has no interest in the least how many Syrian people die to accomplish all that? Then we could go on to discuss the deatails and how we should all know these facts!
  23. No, that would never do. If it's removed then it has to be for politically biased purposes because there's really no other reason to not want to discuss the issue. To serve your agenda, at best it can be censored to exclude the off-topic nonsense that goes on. That would be a place for you to start and it would serve everybody's interests. Those whose interest is to suppress the truth will never be happy.
  24. It's still a personal attack even though you don't mention the name. Nobody is unaware of who you are attacking.
  25. They needed to fabricate a reason for the the Gulf war in Iraq. We should all know now that Kuwait had little to do with it and the reason for the first one was the same as the second one. Those who are aware of what the US has been involved in should get great pleasure in reading the April Glaspie story or the story of the fake buildup of Iraqi troops and artillery alonb the Saudi border in preparation for war. They never were there of course but the pretence was clearly to enlist Saudi support. The American people aren't stupid, they've just been brainwashed into not wanting to know the truth. Some even think Blair and Clinton planned it all! LOL
