Should Canadian citizenship be revoked?
OftenWrong replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It's too bad because if you go there this summer you won't be able to compare and see how it's changed over the last ten years. Check out the downtown core, Yonge St at night. By about 10 pm the worst types you can imagine are on the street, everywhere. Drug dealers, pimps, bad dudes. You will notice a disturbing trend. -
Equating capital punishment of murderers with publicly stoning women? That's a stretch.

How many Muslims are there in Egypt who hold these views? By your data. something like 40 million. Egypt is not even the most extreme case, so if your stats are right there are 100's of millions of Muslims in the world who want Sharia law AND agree with stoning women to death.

Hardly. The results are pretty bad for the left, but not as bad as they could have been. That is all

Should Canadian citizenship be revoked?

Have you been to Toronto lately? Even Angela Merkel admitted multiculturalism is a failure. Sorry, it's not working. A bit late now for Canada to figure that out. -
Right wingers should not be disappointed by this result. It would be unrealistic to expect Geert Wilders to go all the way. For one thing there are so many more parties in the Dutch system, the right-wing vote is more divided. Secondly, Wilders is no Trump by a long shot. Neither in experience, popularity nor intellect. Trump's superior business and media skills gave him the upper hand. The good news is that momentum is still building towards the right, and this will only keep getting stronger. Trump, and Brexit have established a "beach head", a chance to rethink the direction western nations are going in, in terms of security. The final outcome of leftism is preordained... failure of society. People have known this for some time but were afraid to speak out for fear of losing everything, such is the insidious, all-pervasive nature of the leftist big brother. But thanks to recent events in the US and UK, there is reason for courage. One only needs to wait a little longer for others to come onside...

Trump's so called "revised ban" revisited

Yes, and as I understand it simply extends the work that President Obama was already doing. Thing of beauty ain't it -

What was the part you said earlier about discussing with "civility"? Think you missed that one. -

It's a public forum, not "your thread". Absolutely nothing is yours here. -

America under President Trump

Pipeline's also not a bad thing, for Canada. The list I put up there at least shows some of his priorities, such as making inroads to "drain the swamp". Looks to me like his priorities are - Improve economy and US workforce - Reduce government bloat - Boost defence spending - Enhance border security In other words, same as practically any president would want to do for their country. -

The reasoning behind the ban for these specific countries has been discussed here the forum numerous times already. If you don't get that, or refuse to accept facts there's no point discussing further with you. This is a waste of time. -

Under the travel ban, are Muslims still allowed to enter the US? Simple question. -
They tried to make a move to stop Brexit from happening, but failed. Seems even the British Parliament is infested with colluding Euro-pansy leftists, who think they can pull a fast one on people.

Sounds like something some idiot at a university dreamed up, in order to get his PhD. Only so many things left to get a PhD on, you see.

Right, more CO2, is good for your home garden too!

It's a completely ludicrous idea. Ludicrous I say... Should make a hell of a Disney movie.

Vote means nothing, its what the queen wants.

They don't need to last hundreds of millions of years. As to clearcuts, I meant to say plant MORE trees. I think that should be obvious. And I was mainly referring to extensive rainforest destruction that has already taken place, not the boreal forests of Canada. Our forests are reasonably well protected, and now among the biggest in the world.
-
Major forests have been decimated worldwide over the last 50 years. We heard from environmentalists about the potential danger of clearcutting vast areas of Brazilian rainforest. That was long ago and no longer even part of the discussion any more. It seems sensible to me to think that large forests act as CO2 regulators, in that they ultimately convert elements from the environment into solid carbon. And furthermore, all the fuel we are burning is from the hydrocarbon from ancient forests, that is now being released into the environment in a very short time. Trees are a simple win-win solution to reducing CO2 and increasing O2 levels, while storing solar energy and carbon in the form of wood and leaves.
-
It's madness. What is wrong with people, proposing all these crazy schemes. Next up we need to invent a machine to sequester carbon. Ever heard of planting a tree?
