That's amazing. Ironically, it only pulls us farther apart.

While we bandy about over unimportant matters, unsubstantiated rumours from anonymous sources, the Trump admin is busy pushing their agenda forward. All the MSM does is ridicule and jeer about Donald Trump, and that is all the knee-jerk reactionaries are aware of. They buy that kind of crap, as if a superpower like USA would actually put themselves at risk over one man. However, this media hysteria is getting tiresome and the accusations are going nowhere. People will inevitably see through this charade. That and the fact Democrats have not made any useful political statements of their own bodes well for the Republicans, and empowers the right worldwide. Eight years of Trump is a possibility.

Well thought out and well said. Thank you! If I could give it multiple likes, I would.

My thinking is that Dictatorship is undesirable, in general but is necessary in some cases, and preferably only as a transition state.Examples are countries where there has been prolonged civil war, where factions cannot reconcile their differences and live under democracy. In that case it is better to impose dictatorship as a form of martial law to stop the war and bring peace and stability to the country. That is what I meant when I said, there can be situation where a moderate dictatorship is preferable to a disfunctional democracy.
-
That's incorrect. I defend dictatorship by saying it's necessary in places where people are unable to live with one another in peace. They need to be forced to get along at the barrel of a gun. There are places in the world where dictatorships are useful, and where they are terrible. I have explained this clearly to you a number of times now.

Silencing the opposition is more the style of Muslims, and the left.

It's not the kind of thing I like to get behind.

Are aboriginals "immigrants"?
OftenWrong replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
How can you have immigration without a country? This was pre Canada, even pre history. -

That number seems ridiculously low. Many people don't admit their true feelings when asked such questions, as seen recently with statistics on similar matters. Seven in ten respondents said there is still “a lot of racism” in Canada. One in five have had racist remarks directed at them. And more than a third said they have made a racist remark in the company of others. Canada's racial divide: Confronting racism in our own backyard

Except when they generally do. And its not just white people neither, in case you haven't noticed.

This is incorrect. The rationale behind the EC has to do with population, not farmers. This has already been explained to you, but appears you don't want to listen. Recent elections show that considerable support for Trump still exists. I know, "what till next time..." Democrats wasted time and money hyping the media over Donald Trump's every utterance, to get an emotional response from the public. They should have worked on promoting useful political ideas, and behaved like professionals, like adults. They grossly underestimated the intelligence of voters, just as they did during the presidential election campaign. They did not learn from their mistakes. -

It has already been explained to you that the EC is part of a well balanced system called democracy. Again, rule of law vs.convenience. -

You keep playing that one-trick pony about the EC as your excuse, if it helps you get through your day. Anything to prevent a liberal from doing a self critical review. Beware a drowning man. -
The election of Trump has affected liberals so deeply, not just in the USA but worldwide, it is like they are suffering from PTSD. These people need psychiatric help.

My world is one of law, not convenience. If people are so incensed over Trump as you appear to be, why didn't they make any progress in the last 5 elections? Russians again?
