I believe that eventually Iraq would have had it's own 'Arab Spring'. Sometimes we need to just leave things alone and let the forces of nature, the country's environment, the country's citizens, etc take their own course and build their own future (not based on the western world's principles or their oil needs). Let's take a look at Hong Kong for example. The students are demonstrating in a peaceful environment, heck they are even studying and cleaning up their trash. Who knows what they will accomplish but at least they are doing it of their own accord. I sometimes think of Ghandi and India when I reflect on Hong Kong's protests. Hong Kong is protesting in a peaceful and loving manner. It is the police and government officials who are displaying violence.

I'm not going to spend a few hours doing the research you have requested. However, if Hal comes up with at least 10 perks for women that I can sign up for, I may reconsider. It could be worth the trouble.

I'm not going to defend my use of the stats from Market Watch. We all know there is not much wage disparity difference between Canada and the States. And a few folks here have indicated and presented such evidence. I think that perhaps the member who posted this OP in the first place should provide more concrete data to support the question. Also, the OP was addressing two issues, car insurance and CPP. It really wasn't a very well thought out or well presented OP. All it does it put up a barrier between men and women with no conclusive data presented. Perhaps that was the purpose of the OP?

It is the entire world that is lacking in leadership to address this. This disease needs to be contained at the source and it is sadly lacking in health care workers, clinics, disinfectant solutions, suits for the health workers and lots and lots of cash. It was good to see Zuckerberg donate 25 million. Let's hope more follow suit. I heard that at least 1 billion is needed.
