Why did you bring in the 'left'?

I can't believe that even this thread has disintegrated to a left vs right issue.

A good deal of us are in our 40's, 50's and 60's. We have slept with immigrants, we have had babies with immigrants. It is not a big deal. And for those who seem to focus on it endlessly, is just so tiresome. And we are, quite frankly, getting tired of folks who like to complain about it. And this is not directed at you!

Even the op, never mind the title is sneering at the average Canadian and placing Argus on some pedestal. The average Canadian should hire a Financial Planner to help with their financial plannning. Not every investment advisor out there is out to swindle the average Canadian investor. Some of them are, believe it or not, are quite honest and do take their oath seriously. Many advisors can be hired outside of a bank so they have access to sell mutual funds from many other companies such as trimark etc. They are not tied into selling a bank's portfolio.

I have been given warnings for the silliest of reasons. I certainly hope you have been given a warning like I have. You have insulted the poster with your 2nd statement. You could just as easily have commented with the first statement and let it go. You chose to add your 2nd statement so you could insult the poster. What was the purpose in insulting the poster?

I would tend to agree with ogft's assessment. And I quite like men actually.

It has been pointed out many times how your posts are based on your 'generalized opinions' that you seem to think that most canadians agree with. You do not provide supporting facts. You have neglected to address my post regarding your projection of your traits onto other people.

Um, I recall you calling certain posters here 'stupid' because they didn't agree with you. It works both ways.

That is true and voila, did you notice the comments afterwards. We are having a dialogue about racism. I don't see it being censored at all.

I don't mind being chastised if it creates further dialogue on this issue, which in fact it did. I have lived in many 'white' communities and I have lived in many 'multi-cultural' communities. It offends me to hear these remarks about immigrants and I feel the need to speak out for them.

Your beliefs don't matter. The identity of victims are protected. Even if the perpetrator is an elected official.

Why are you so focused on womens rights? This seems to be a common thread that is seen throughout your posts. Do you have something against women who stand up for their rights? I'm asking because whenever an issue is raised with regards to women 'fighting' for justice or to be treated equally, you seem to fight it every step of the way.

I was chastised for posting this comment because it was assumed that I was addressing the posters instead of the posts. But in fact, I was addressing the posts. Everyone knows that when someone spouts off racist remarks, it is usually because of a lack of knowledge, a bit of ignorance and a lack of empathy. This thread is full of racist, ignorant remarks directed at anyone that is not a white individual that has immigrated to Canada.

All I see here are accusations: 'You', 'You', 'You'. I suspect you are projecting these faults of yours onto others. Think about it for a minute.

I thought this board had well educated posters. I must have been misinformed.
