  1. 'seperate' is spelled 'separate', just saying. i have been plenty enough corrected on my spelling.
  2. Seriously? Nothing separate about it.
  3. The thing is, we are not on the jury. There is no jury! We have not heard all the evidence. You seem to be so defiant of the women's testimony. Why is that?
  4. And let's not forget students and felons of which a high majority are African Americans. Republicans ain't stupid that's for sure.
  5. I bet he headed south as soon as he could.
  6. I am feeling quite positive about this incident. Many former female guests have come out supporting the victims which says a lot. These are highly educated and informed guests. The victims are gathering support due to social media. We can't ignore the impact that social media has had on this issue. Quite frankly I don't see support for ghomeshi from his male supporters on social media. And perhaps he longer has any. It wil be interesting to see what evidence shows up, what with smart phones etc.
  7. Racist voters. Hmmmmm. What about the republicans trying to suppress the African Americans and Latinos right to vote.
  8. I will expect that ghomeshi will head south of the border if he is still legally able to. His career is over in Canada.
  9. You are victimizing the victim with your comments. You would make a great defence lawyer, putting the victim on trial.
  10. Perhaps it's his way of calling him out on it. I am not surprised at the comment to be honest coming from him.
  11. And I enjoy watching it!
  12. This is a prime example of why many female victims don't come forward. Having to deal with BS like this.
  13. That isn't answering the question. What Behaviour? And you just couldn't resist attacking a female victim could you?
  14. Gomeshi had a history of hitting on young women. Let's not forget he is also an ex-musician. He is used to 'groupies' and knows how to manipulate them. He knows far more than the CBC on how to manipulate these women and let's remember that none of his victims reported him to the police. The CBC does not monitor the personal lives of their employees.
  15. What do you mean by that? Am I wrong is all my posts?
  16. I posted at the beginning of this thread not knowing all the facts. When I posted, none of the women had come forward. I admit, I was a big fan of his radio program and I wanted to believe that he could do no wrong. This is a great example of waiting for the facts to come out. I have great empathy for the victims of Jian's alleged assaults. I do hope that more of them come forward to press charges. Jian will not stop his behaviour without facing the consequences and seeking professional help. He has admitted that he is under psychiatric care for various mental disorders and has been for many years. I understand that charges are pending. It will be good to hear all the facts. As far as Michael Brown shooting. We still do not know all the facts and we will have to wait and see. As I recall, you came out defending the cop without hearing all the facts. This thread is fast becoming a gossip thread.
  17. 83% of Americans said it is either "very important" (60%) or "fairly important" (23%). Those numbers take a dive north of the border: 62% of Canadians said religion is very important (28%) or fairly important (34%) to them. Worship service attendance in the United States has remained fairly constant since the 1950s, but it has dramatically declined in Canada. In 1955, 58% of Canadians said they had attended church or a synagogue in the past week. Since 1991, the percentage had been stable at 31%, before dropping to its current level of 26% (with a different question wording). Religion's importance in America, when compared to that in Britain and Canada, may reflect its role in each of these cultures. The declines in Britain and Canada may be a sign of gradual secularization, and may foretell where American religiosity could head in the future. However, Winseman said he isn't convinced that it will happen to Americans anytime soon and Gallup data don't indicate a hastening decline. "We are secular society with a spiritual culture," he said. "And that culture has a very spiritual core."
  18. The puppy did not engage in consensual S&M
  19. It is certainly not a generality. I will provide a cite.
  20. The majority of Canadians do not have the religious values of Americans. There is the difference.
  21. No, you keep missing the point. The audience that listens to Jian could care less what he does in the privacy of his bedroom. However, if they found out he repeatedly kicked a defenceless puppy, that would be an entirely different story.
  22. American politics and Canadian Media should not be compared in the same sentence. It's blasphemy!
  23. No, that has to do with American politics. Big difference!
  24. Not sure what this has to do with anything on this topic.
  25. Well, it seems he is filing a grievance, among other things. "Ghomeshi is claiming general and punitive damages for among other things, breach of confidence and bad faith in the amount of $ 50 million, the statement said. He will also launch a grievance for reinstatement under his collective agreement."
