Fifty infected flights a week are landing in Canada, with people who can, if they so choose, quarantine for 3 days, or just ignore the quarantine and go home, or even just land in Buffalo and rent a car to come across. But the Trudeau government is doing nothing about it, nor will it even address the issue, probably because they want to hold an election soon and are counting on Indo-Canadian voters they don't want to risk offending. So they'll let the Indian variant into Canada and the hell with the health of Canadians. If some more people have to die to slightly improve their electoral chances, then so be it. I think we notice whenever some real estate knob cold-calling for listings in a what we're told is a hot real estate market tells us that our old wood-framed bungalows are worth over $800,000! Yeah, "credit rating" is a scam. I get regular reports from both Transunion and Equifax, they're always different from each other and they bounce up and down without any rhyme or reason that I can identify. When I renegotiated my mortgage, the credit union's rating was different from both Transunion and Equifax, and I was told that they didn't use those agencies. Other than my mortgage, I have no debt; only a Visa that gets paid off every month and my ratings hover just below 700. I guess the deal is that they assume a credit card or loan is in my future, and so they're all set up to soak me, interest-wise, when that happens. Yeah, debt has become intrinsically tied to a 'successful' capitalist economy - I read something on that a few years ago, can't remember all the details now though.

It would be impossible to find jurors who would be impartial on this issue. Somebody living in a cave for the past year could pass for one but there aren't too many of those. The whole trial by jury is a failed concept but what instead? The judge would be able to decide on his own? Not a good idea either.
