  1. What other contagious diseases have a 3-6% chance of killing someone in their 60's? That's why I take this seriously. Lots of people in their 60's are in the workforce and my parents are in their 60's. And to tell them to stay home so I can hit the bar is ridiculous.

  2. Democrats have never accepted the results of 2016 having done nothing for the last 4 years but try to overturn the results, one way or another. I don't think Biden will enact martial law but would he override the will of the Governors? Well maybe, after he confiscates the guns that is :)-

  3. You can't work for half the wages. That's BS. I'm not sure what company you work for, but there are rules in place, where the Canadian entity must pay at the prevailing salary, for that position, in that location, if they want to hire a foreign worker. It's rare, but it happens, where the employer may have a contract to pay someone a certain wage, but once they arrive, they don't pay them that wage. This mostly happens when it comes to low or semi-skilled positions. Like plant or farm workers. Not when it comes to the tech industry. If the same employer wants to hire someone through the same process, they must show through payroll deductions, that they paid the previous foreign worker the wage that was agreed upon. If they don't, they not only won't be able to hire a foreign worker, but they will be penalized. Canadian immigration is very dynamic. This is one of the strengths of the immigration system. This is something that Harper and his immigration minister, Kenney, implemented. They added rules that has made it very difficult for employers to cheat the system. It's working. There is a big difference with how immigration was 10 years ago + and now. This is one of the central problems with Argus' argument. He finds outdated information, in order to try to support his anti-immigration (from non-white countries) views.

  4. Actually in this regard he does. As a manager myself for... many decades and counting... in the engineering sector I can tell you this is the reality. Employers are hiring people from foreign countries with sub-standard education into engineering positions. It shouldn't be too shocking either, since many of those are willing to work for half the wages, or less, of a professional engineer. Boges diplomas are not even the main problem. Just shit employers.

  5. Do you imagine your half truths will work around here? Everyone in the industry knows scummy employers like yours deliberately drive down wages, pushing Canadian tech workers to move to the states while you bring in desperate third world workers. Oh yes, Toronto wages are rising, but so are others in the US. Toronto is at the BOTTOM of the list for tech salaries. Every American tech city pays at least 50% more. https://planetweb.ca/news/toronto-tech-salaries-grew-7-last-year-still-fall-way-behind-us/ Name these imaginary sectors. I know that as someone on the far left you don't believe in Capitalism, but Capitalism always solves the problem of scarcity of workers - by forcing employers to increase wages. But you guys won't do that. instead you buy off politicians to bring in cheap third world workers. Yeah, right. Send me to wiki, oh genius. You accuse me of not wanting brown people here. What you don't say is you DO want brown people here, so you can exploit them, much like sweat shops in the US exploit brown workers. Meanwhile we train Canadian tech workers who go to the US. Sixty six percent of software engineers we trained at great expense have gone to the US! The government should tax the hell out of leeches like you guys and force you to pay for that education. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/technology/article-canada-facing-brain-drain-as-young-tech-talent-leaves-for-silicon/

  6. You don't know what you're talking about. Historically, Canada's tech salaries has lagged behind not only the U.S. but the rest of the world as well. However, that has been changing rapidly, especially in the past 5 years. You need to accept this reality - This is from 2019: Average compensation within Toronto’s technology industry is higher than ever and increasing faster than any other major tech hub surveyed worldwide. According to a recent study by tech-job site Hired, the average salary of the city’s technology industry workers increased by 9 per cent in the past twelve months. The rate of growth ties with Boston and far surpasses other major hubs such as Seattle, Washington, Chicago, Paris, London and the Bay Area. Ref Wrong. There are sectors that are starving for workers. You just don't know it, because you're not experiencing it. You don't know what you're talking about. I don't have time for your constant misinformation. Instead, if you really want to learn about our system, instead of digging in with stubbornness, because you don't want brown people to move to Canada, here is a place to start and learn: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Points-based_immigration_system

  9. Don't get out much, do you? I wander all around the prairies and the North, and the invasion of third world into hospitality and service industry is HUGE and very widely spread...even outside of major urban areas. What particularly irks me is that we have a largely unemployed aboriginal population that seldom participates in this entry level into the working economy (unless, of course, they can climb into bed with the Mafia and open a casino). Similarly: the destruction of quality and integrity in engineering in the resource (and other) sectors in Canada has been led by a charge of third world "professionals" who have earned their credentials by privilege, seldom by merit. Of course, one of the biggest players in that respect is the Liberals favourite complicit criminals: SNC Lavalin.

  10. As an employer, this is great news for me. It doesn't matter if I am offering a salary well above the median average salary for administration and tech positions, I have an extremely hard time finding employees. With all of the tech companies opening up offices in Canada, it's great to see that our immigration system, both under the Harper government and the Trudeau government, are responding to the need of skilled workers. I love the fact that Canada is starting to be known as the top destination for many sought after skilled workers who have numerous options around the world. Our immigration system and its success are the envy of many countries around the world, including Donald Trump. Go Canada Go!

  13. Trump never rails against US voters...just Democrat leaders. It's the Democrats like Maxine and Nancy that call for their armies of street fighters to attack the supporters of the opposition. That's pretty...Hitler-like.

Top swing-state newspaper hasn't endorsed Republican in almost 50 years — but is backing Trump now The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette editorial board, one of Pennsylvania's largest newspapers, revealed late Saturday that Trump is their man. https://www.theblaze.com/news/pittsburgh-newspaper-endorses-donald-trump The man and the record https://www.post-gazette.com/opinion/editorials/2020/10/31/editorial-donald-trump-joe-biden-mike-pence-kamala-harris-presidential-candidate-endorsement/stories/202010310021

  23. Spending a fortune and changing the future makeup of the country in hopes of it accomplishing something when you've never bothered to study the impact is insane. Australia did a macro study, consulting widely with experts in a variety of fields about what immigration had done, what it could do, what they wanted from it and how best to get that. It consulted with business, labour, statisticians and demographics experts, economists and cultural figures, and ordinary people from all walks of life. After that it set its goals and adjusted the immigration program with that in mind. Why can't our government do that?

  24. He doesn't have to. 7,700 Americans died every day in 2019 and 2018 and 2017.... If there was no C19 then 2,340,800 Americans would have died so far in 2020 anyways. Over ten times as many people as C19 is supposed to have killed. Of the 220,000 Americans who 'died of covid' in 2020, the vast majority of them would have died of heart attack or stroke or the regular flu anyways. C19 only gives a nudge to people who are near death. So the short answer is that if Biden wins then all of a sudden the Dems and Liberals and the MSM will start talking about 'higher survival rates' and 'extremely low risks to young, healthy people' and 'low hospitalization rates of people who are no Vit D deficient' and 'the success rates of new treatments' and then POOF! the fear of C19 will be gone and we will all get back to life as normal.

  25. Trudeau worked to spread the coronavirus and you're ok with that. What Changed Bubber? "It would be racist to block travellers from China, don't wear masks, visitors to the country can walk freely anywhere!" lol. The Dems told people to ride the subway and eat in restaurants like it's no big deal, after Trump had already started fighting the virus. You were ok with that. You have never condemned Cuomo's idiotic action of putting C-19-infected people back into care homes. You were ok with that. When people weren't allowed to visit other people, or hang out in large groups outside you supported the rioting, looting, arson and murders Bubber, in super-spreader groups. What changed? You're just being a mouthy hypocrite Bubber.

  27. Martial law doesn't really go well with democracy in my opinion. And clearly Trump supporters aren't the one's that have a problem accepting democracy. The 2016 election was won fairly by the Republican side but to this day it's the Democrats that refuse to accept the results. They are planning to go much further and will likely rig the system to favor their side in future elections. I don't know how Joe Biden personally feels about instituting martial law ,that question should be asked to his puppet masters. Scroll it up on the teleprompter!

  28. I'm curious about your opinion of the sizable BLM/ANTIFA riots . Large gatherings of people where the only purpose is to destroy things and cause havoc. Most on the political left are perfectly fine with these riots caused by anarchists in close proximity. Why are the Burn Loot Murder riots just fine but peaceful political rallies inherently dangerous?

  29. This is why you and I will never see eye to eye on immigration. I use statistics, government reports and facts. For you it's all down to your noble self-appointed duty to protect 'brown people' from anyone casting doubt on their perfection. Facts and logic don't enter into the argument. All you care about are that they're 'brown' and thus they must be protected. Because it's not like they can protect themselves without your help, after all. You should get over your liberal bigotry.
