President Trump is no more authoritarian than many other previous American presidents (like FDR), and is constrained by the limits of his office and the U.S. Constitution. A Canadian PM with majority rule has more unchecked power than any U.S. president. Trump is transactional, not authoritarian.2 points

Matthew C. MacWilliams...who makes $$$ on books/articles claiming authoritarianism is EVERYWHERE. Accuses visitors to his website of being authoritarian and even has a test to find out how close to authoritarian absolute you are (he made the test). Why he's barely biased towards Trump at all...spending most of his time these days using his self-accredited credentials to write negative MSM articles like the one presented...for $$$ of course. That's when not holding court at the University of Massachusetts...teaching about how authoritarian Trump and America are....for $$$ of course. He's not doing it for FREE...God Bless America...lol.2 points

It's not about you (or me)...these are the political systems that have evolved over many years. They do not change just because we do not like one outcome. Trump is certainly not always right, but he is the duly elected POTUS, despite what his haters may say. Again, Canada has many examples of the same, and far more recent despicable and ongoing treatment of "aboriginals". I am not and never have been a member of any political party, and I did not vote for Trump in 2016. I am willing to go as far as the U.S. Constitution permits, and that means free speech (including "hate speech")....and gun rights. All illegals should be deported...no exceptions. Trump sings the same tunes. America is just another country, just like Canada, warts and all. Don't hold America or Americans to a higher standard because you will always be disappointed. Seek true love and redemption elsewhere...America owes you nothing.1 point

The Electoral College has been in place for over 200 years. It is not suddenly obsolete just because Trump got elected. In Canada, Scheer and the Conservatives got more votes than Trudeau and the Liberals. Why the double standard ? The U.S. has three branches of government, and several states have already passed laws that apportion electors by popular vote. Amendments require passage by many states, and small states do not want to be "bullied" by large states. Yes he did, and far worse because he had a "mandate" for the Great Depression and WW2. The Congress passed an Amendment to limit presidents to a maximum of two terms because of FDR's excesses. Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln are two other examples of "authoritarian" presidents. Donald Trump is just another U.S. president, with limited power and impact, except when it comes to driving leftists crazy.1 point

FYI Trump had control of the Senate when those vacancies came up. It was his job to appoint judges, and he appointed judges that follow the constitution. That's what they're supposed to do. If the Dems want judges to rule a certain way, the correct path to follow is to create new laws via the democratic processes currently in place. The Dems just want to unilaterally turn the SC into their own new legal system. It's an open attack on democracy. He said it on video that he will shut it down (if the science dictates or whatever). He still said it. They're not doing that at all. That's just idiocy/lies again. The Dems want people to be able to vote without ID (ironically no one can vote by mail without state issued ID though....), they want mail-in ballots sent to everyone, and they want illegals to vote. Which one of those plans is not more voter-fraud-friendly than showing up with ID to vote? Trump was asked if he would condemn white supremacists and he said "sure, which ones, name them" and then he was asked to "ask the proud boys to stand down" which he promptly did. FYI there are a lot of black men and mexicans in the Proud Boys. They're not white supremacists, but don't let that stop you from spreading idiocy. 1) CNN's lies are well documented, only a complete idiot is unaware of the fact that they almost exclusively lie about every major topic known to man. They were even successfully sued by a high school kid for defamation of character, and that's by far the lowest level that a MSM member has ever stooped to in the history of the planet. Your refusal to acknowledge CNN's ultra-low integrity says a lot about you. 2) Hillary called half of America deplorable. M Obama just called half of America racist. Trump calls out individuals correctly. 3) Trump is the boss. A good boss fires people who don't do a good job. Simple. 4) Thats another huge and stupid lie. 5) Obama and B Clinton talked about that too. Were they Nazis? 6) Can you think of a worse example of demonizing people than the Obama's narrative that "Black people are justifiably terrified of pigs"? 7) Nor Justin Trudeau. That is proof that Justin is a Nazi. Duhhhhhhhhhh. He also drinks water from paper/plastic water box thingies - he's from the future. He's a future Nazi. Thanks for proving that dialamah. 8) The Dems are the ones who actually called into question the integrity of the election process in this isntance if you hadn't noticed. They were also the party that started the KKK, they opposed blacks' right to vote, then their KKK terrorized black voters at the polls, and even though the Civil Rights Act was a Dem-proposed bill (by racist LBJ), more Dems voted against the Civil Rights Act than members of the GOP, both in number and by % of voters. It might be the only time in the whole history of the USA when the opposition party voted more strongly in favour of a bill than the party that proposed the bill. They want people to be able to vote without ID, as if that's a good idea, and they want people who are just in the area to be able to vote too. How much sense does that make? Now they want to allow the mass-mailing of ballots (to everyone with super-evil ID, are they trying to disenfranchise everyone without ID? FYI that means take away their voting rights.) Please, look into some of this crap before you post it, stop telling lies because it's morally repugnant, and then ask yourself why you support CNN when they don't tell the truth about anything.1 point

More lies and stupidity. Lie Lie (lie). Just because he's calling the Dems out for their cheating doesn't mean he's lying. The Dems want to incorporate every voter fraud friendly option known to man into the 2016 election. (everyone who wants to vote already can - duh. "I don't have ID so I can't vote" isn't a real thing, and people need state issued ID with a sig on the back, registered, in order to vote by mail too - DOH!!!!) FYI the POTUS has never done that. He lacks the authority. He can't even send in the national guard unless the state or mayor asks him for it. He cn merely have them on standby. Are you f'n kidding me? The Dems are doing that via Antifa and BLM. The GOP aren't doing that at all. The Demonrats are an enemy of the state. Haven't you seen how they use Minorities are not an enemy of the state and Trump has never said such a thing. That's not just a lie, it's a repugnant lie. What kind of person would tell such a lie? The dems and their false investigations, and their abuse of the powers of the CIA and FBI, which is well-documented of late, are actual examples of that, but you're their sycophant. You adore it when they abuse power.1 point

Biden wants to shut down the country if elected to train the citzenry to obedience. He wants to dilute the supreme court, open the borders, and allow Democrat friendly countries like Puerto Rico state ship. He does this to ensure continuing loyalty to his party and give him carte blanche. He talks about replacing the police with a new sort of policing. One remembers how the Nazis (I think it was Goerring) brought in the brown shirt thugs to police with what was supposed to be an alternative sort of policing. Obama used to talk about a desire to do something similar. So this has been on the left's wish list for awhile. The Republicans talk about rights of the individual through the constitution. So which is the more likely to push towards authoritarianism? Again the term "projection" jumps to mind.1 point

To boot, the guy got his...doctorate...in 2016. He's a doctor of Trumpology! Don't question is auth-or-ity. The irony of needing the very figure one denigrates to earn a living must not be lost on ...lol...Dr MacWilliams.1 point

Using obvious ideologues to 'prove' something proves nothing other than proving one's own bias. A fallacy. Well known to you as you're proving the negative. Argument from ignorance...as they say. Trump is President of the United States. Rules apply to this position that the Democrats have already conducted numerous witch hunts that would make McCarthy blush in attempts to show that Trump is breaking these rules. All these efforts have failed...but they vow more. No matter the lives they destroy. Yet Trump is the apparent authoritarian...as the leftist street gangs burn down another business.1 point

Regardless, its well known that Trump's style of leadership is authoritarian. Threats to not leave White House if he loses, claiming he could only lose by "cheating" (aka letting everyone vote), using the army to quell civilian protests, calling on paramilitary organizations to fight other Americans on his behalf, creating a common enemy called "American Democrats", along with minorities. These are all practices engaged in by politicians who want complete and unfettered power. He's cheered on and venerated by you, WCM, OW, Betsy, Taxme, bush_cheney and many others in the States and Canada. You guys should at least own your ideology. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/jul/23/trump-authoritarianism-portland-cbp-election https://www.justsecurity.org/70544/trumps-moves-are-right-out-of-the-authoritarian-playbook/ https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2020/10/07/what-authoritarian-countries-can-tell-us-democracy-and-trump/3518563001/1 point

But antifa is basically an idea, or set ideas. It's more of a movement than a cohesive group. You can ban the group, label them a terrorist organization, but it won't get rid of the ideas that members of antifa believe. Antifa is also not a centralized group or one that can be easily generalized, similar to BLM. Both involve peaceful protestors, and violent protestors. Antifa is basically a far-left resistance movement to what they see as racism and neo-fascism and alt-right stuff. So I condemn most of not all of the violence they do, but i have nothing wrong with the video Shady posted of the antifa dude cussing out the Portland mayor. He's exercising his right to free speech.1 point
