  1. 1. I concur. 2. Is your point that it's not a problem or that it is ? I can't tell. 3. This is ridiculous hyperbole. I can't take you seriously when you try to equate a contemporary democratic government with Big Brother. It's just shrill hysteria, whether or not you think that the response to Covid is out-of-scale.

  2. So then the alternative is to further hamper the system so you can call it into question OR shore up the Postal Service so the system can run as effectively as possible. Clearly the incumbent is seeking to create chaos so he can de-legitimize the election results.

  3. B.C. upped the amount you can be fined for breaking rules to $2,000. Not that big of a deal. During the spanish flu outbreak people in the u.s. were shot by police for non compliance. https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.express.co.uk/news/world/1269659/coronavirus-outbreak-spanish-flu-latest-death-toll-uk-news-update-pandemic-spt/amp

  4. Sounds like a great idea considering the upsurge in cases mainly among young people.

  5. Apparently now people who work 3 full weeks can get $400/week for 6 months because of the new EI guidelines. Regardless of how permanent of a solution this is intended to be, we are creating a new welfare-hungry generation - ie socialists. These people have no idea or concern about the mathematics of billions per month going to people for nothing, all they care about is what they want. oh brother..I didnt know about that. Where in the heck are we going to get the money to pay for all of this. There is a multi century day of reckoning coming up with all the debt the western world is racking up to maintain their overbloated standard of living. We in the western world are living way way beyond our means because we think somehow we deserve it. At some point it will all come crashing down and Asia will end up being the clear superpower. Canadians in general have gotten so smug, entitled and lazy in general and we will pay the price for it. When you consider that most Canadians think Justin Trudeau was the best choice to run the country it gives you and idea how screwed we are. I blame those Canadians which unfortunately is the majority now in bringing the eventual crash of this country. I guess the move towards socialism is part of it..I dont mind some socialism but not to the extent we are at now. Giving people generous amounts of money to do nothing and encourage them to do nothing when there are small businesses suffering because they cant find any help is just ludicrous.

  6. Yet they excuse themselves by pointing to the social crises which they themselves have created. Nice move, really! <shouts his Kiai>

  8. Not sure who this was directed at, but OK, Had they taken the time to do a little research perhaps they could have come up with a system that would include all Canadians, not just 1/2 the country, many groups were left out, and STILL are until the latest announcement this week by Freeland. How many months have others had to wait to pay their bills.... By no means is our Health system in excellent shape, maybe in your province but here in NB waiting times can by as long as 12 hours, getting an MRI could take over a year, lack of family doctors mean new comers face waiting on a list for a year and a half...I not saying its not good, I'm just saying its not excellent , it has a long way to go before it is good... maybe it is time for our health system to come under federal jurisdiction and funding. we are paying real taxes already, some of the highest on the planet, what we really need is to take a look at all these social programs and ask the tough questions do we really need all of them....my original post was what that conversation was going to look like when it comes down to paying for Justins 500 bil dollar program....that i don't see doing much for jump starting our economy, with massive green initiatives, that will only sink the rest of our fossil fuel resources... Yes it is , thank you for pointing that out for me.

  9. The title of this thread just got some credibility from one of Canada's best young political analysts. https://spencerfernando.com/2020/08/21/the-liberals-are-moving-canada-towards-full-blown-socialism/ Apparently now people who work 3 full weeks can get $400/week for 6 months because of the new EI guidelines. 11. What else is on his work resume besides teacher? He acted in a mini-series for CBC in 2007. He attended engineering school for a couple of years but dropped out, and has an undergrad degree in literature. He has no qualifications to be an MP, cabinet minister, or PM besides his last name. Pierre was a lawyer, Mulroney was a lawyer, Chretien was a lawyer, Paul Martin was a lawyer. These things come in handy when you're proposing, drafting, interpreting, and implementing laws. Harper had a masters in economics. Pearson had a masters in history from Oxford University and taught it in university, had a career in the public service & as a diplomat, and had a hand in founding the UN and NATO and almost became the 1st Secretary General of the UN before being PM. Justin's dad is Pierre.

  12. Except with none of his accomplishments outside of government. There was a reason he was recruited as a Liberal MP, and a reason he was put into cabinet, and "because it's 2015" was not it. Not so I've noticed. They tend to be more emotional and more neurotic, though. What I do notice, at times, is women being promoted above their level simply for being women. And that has been made manifest by this prime style-over-substance minister. That's not a shot at women, btw. Try to find a psychologist who'll disagree.

  13. I saw on one of my favorite alternative media websites where they showed a picture of some woman swimming and wearing a face diaper mask. Ding-dong-ding-dong.
