Conservatives sometimes suck because many are too strict and religious and have no open mindedness, just like their counterparts on the Left who they sometimes call snowflakes. Just a benign example, ask a Conservative if he wants to smoke weed after work, and he's going to say no, with disdain and will probably say something like 'I don't do drugs and I didn't know you were that type of person', starting a tirade about how weed is bad, or trying to flee away from you and your group afterward. Very closeted, very shy personalities are inclined to be on this political spectrum, and Conservatives in general lack people skills and don't have much fun. Also, a bunch of Conservatives who are on the Right Side of the Conservative spectrum align with many socially restrictive ideas, that are anti freedom, while advocating they are the advocates for freedom.1 point

You mean support the key industry which was helping keep our economy from sinking into the quagmire of deep recession like all the rest of the world? What kind of moronic idiots wouldn't do that? Their biggest tax cut was to the GST, which went to everyone. And in fact, given how the opposition were demanding big economic incentive spending, the cut to the GST would have spurred spending and helped the economy. It's pretty damned clear it was the other way around. Nonsense. The only thing you can point to in that regard is them believing, as did the vast majority of Canadians, that if you were going to become a Canadian, then you ought to be able to compromise enough to show your face at a swearing in ceremony, not hide behind a mask. A scumbag who had little affiliation with this country and had been raised in a variety of Muslim lands with his terrorist father and brother and taught to hate the west and engage in terrorist activities.1 point

During Harper’s reign, the Conservatives employed four tactics: ally themselves closely with Big Oil, tax cuts (especially for corporations), go to war with environmental, Indigenous and social justice groups, and embrace Islamophobia/anti-Arab bigotry. This meant ignoring or denying climate change, building pipelines, auditing environmental groups, and portraying Arabs as terrorists or less than civilized. This was seen in the treatment of Omar Khadr, who was accused of killing an American soldier during a firefight in Afghanistan at age 15. Khadr was detained at Guantánamo Bay by the Americans for 10 years where he was often brutally tortured. Yet the Harper government fought hard to keep him first in American custody, and then behind bars, despite the fact that a 2010 Supreme Court ruling found that his human rights were violated while in Guantánamo Bay. During the 2015 election, the Tories took a hardline position on Muslim headwear and vowed to set up a police hotline to report what it called “barbaric cultural practices." Also having this guy:1 point

Ok so you have a lot of resilience. Some people don't. Some people get PTSD. Person is dying of thirst on the street, i'd hope you'd give them a drink of water rather than telling them to suck it up, everybody gotta die some day. These people don't need life advice from an internet tough guy who is so tough he spends every waking moment posting on internet message boards. Go get some fresh air and save us the self-righteousness ffs. Did I hurt your feelings? Suck it up and cry me a river tough guy1 point

Not really, because you allow hatemongering to go on under the "well it only applies against those for whom it is true". An imam telling his people.that Jews must be eliminated because they hate Arabs doesn't differentiate between Jews who would kill Muslims and those who wouldn't. That's hatemongering, the kind of hatemongering that leads to both innocent and guilty Jews being targeted. A Westerner who doesn't differentiate between the behavior and beliefs of Islamic extremists and Muslims in general is indulging in the same kind of hatemongering; the end result is that both innocent and guilty Muslims are targeted.1 point

No - you are against complaining about Don Cherry which isn't a restriction of freedom but now seem to be in favour of a state religion.1 point

A pimp like Epstein had a blackbook and would have set up a trigger system that if anything happened to him dirt would be released about his vip clients. So I argue he is alive and his death was faked and he is on some island and they will redo his face and off he will go unscathed because he's got to much dirt in trigger release packages all over the place. This is why his accomplice remains untouched as well. Why wasn't she taken out....think about it.,, High level Pimps have trigger release systems in place to protect themselves. I like many who worked in the legal system know In Toronto of high level escort agency pimps with black books on Judges and police and politicians and so remain untouched. People are naïve how this crap works. I believe Epstein's network was riddled with spies for both large corporate interests and country state security interests, I believe myself Andrew was an MI6 informant and his own agency have thrown out the dirt stories to discredit him now the Epstein network he was spying on is compromised. They are just covering their tracks. Andrew's job was to keep an eye on Russian mob and organized crime syndicate money coming into the UK. His cover was blown and they needed a new cover story to detract from what he did and let him go off and disappear with a new ideal cover-discredited bumb. Either that or he really is a dumb phuck. Take your pick. He fits the profile of a patriot not a dumb phuck for me then again I can not imagine and accept as most do that he is a dumb phuck. I just find that assumption too obvious. I just found his deliberate suicide in a press interview just too convenient in portraying him as a dumb phuck. Think about it. He is surrounded by expert pr handlers. There is no way he could have done what he did without clearance from someone other than himself. I also point out again, Melania Trump's father,a high level Commie is Trump's handler for Putin. Melania was an escort in a Russian mob escort (modelling) agency tight with Epstein and the same agency Meaghan Markle was a member of. Andrew was appointed to succeed Philip as the inside Royal whose job is to head the society within the Royal Family devoted to protecting the monarchy line at all costs. I just don't see this man as a dumb phuck. More like a compromised operative put out to pasture where no one will notice him anymore and he can do his behind the scenes stuff with a great cover-being a discredited fool. Lol now someone will say, then Trump can't be as dumb as he acts, so he must be spying on Putin by acting like he's compromised by him. Nah. I do believe Trump really is a dumb compromised phuck.1 point

Get a new case worker if you don't like this one. You have problems expressing yourself when emotional because of your anxiety, you should bring along someone you know who is good at speaking up who can be an advocate for you and explain your thoughts to your caseworker for you. This will help you immensely. Also, force yourself to at least have a part-time job if you can. Not having a job and sitting around the house or whatnot is not good for your mental health, so stay busy if you can't work. And find healthy ways to cope with your anxiety. Meditation, exercise etc. If you're going to have a vice, choose unhealthy food or sex over drugs/alcohol/smoking.1 point

Kenney is like most of our politicians. Feed the people what they want to hear, and after the election, give the people the finger. Kenney will play a liberal, a socialist or a liberal conservative or whatever it takes to get elected. Kenney spent many years in the federal government pretending to be a real and true conservative. I keep getting emails from Cheryl Gallant. Whenever I reply to her dozen or so emails, I never hear back from her. I guess that she does not like to hear what I have to say as a real and true conservative. I even told her to f off one time, and she still sends me emails. Question here is? Does she really read her emails? Most politicians despise and have total contempt for we the people. Just give us your vote, and we will take care of your concerns. LOL. I trust Kenney as much as I trust Scheer and Trudeau. It's thumbs down to those three bozos.1 point

A masters. Thank you for the compliment. I don’t mean to speak for Dougie. I’m trying to take his criticism constructively. I’m a dual Canadian and British citizen, but as I’ve spent most of my life in Canada, my first loyalty is to Canada. I won’t say Canada First because of the Trumpian associations. I support Canada’s tradition of multilateralism and think that exceptionalism should be exceptional, like the notwithstanding clause. I don’t worry about the implications of a “post-national state” because I believe people come before national identity and that a country is only as good as the values its people support.1 point

In addition to all that you said, which I agree with, I think it is a sign of something else. If HNIC had still belonged to the CBC when this happened, I say he might not have been dismissed.Cherry was not booed off the stage. He was dismissed by the corporation Sportsnet. And Sportsnet is a business, it owes no allegiance to Cherry or his legacy, what Cherry might represent in the conscience of Canadians. There are no folk-heros in corporate culture. There is no history. Places, like Maple Leaf Gardens, no longer exist. Now we have Air Canada Centre, Rogers Centre, Bell Centre. But if they don't give the same funding next year, the place will be renamed. Sorry not ROgers Centre now it's Canadian Tire Centre. Where the hell is that arena Nowhere... it doesn't exist. Corporatism the death knell of culture.1 point

Yes, we know. I'm saying it didn't need to happen that way. The same outcome could have been achieved without all the media hysteria, and without disgracing a person with such a long list of accomplishments for Canada, and who is 85, for a slip-up. Cancel culture is permanent, there is no undo after Cancel. Cancel culture needs to learn a little forgiveness.1 point

1. Yes... when you sign up to be a star on mass media, you are subjecting yourself to the whims of the masses - the ones that are advertised to, passively, bringing the revenues that pay your huge salary. 2. I don't boo you. 3. Mass communication isn't two-way, so the people behind the microphone only get the crudest feedback. 4.I think that his words were ambiguous enough to cause legitimate concern, and if so he was given a chance to clarify. 5.I think if he clarified he could have stayed. 6.Exactly. How much do you care though ? He left his mark and 85 is a ripe age to still have a national platform. 37 years of Coach's Corner.1 point

It's impossible to stop it, any of us only has the power of 1 vote every few years among tens of millions. Best not waste much time worrying about government inadequacies and focus more and getting our own houses in order. The most productive people with successful careers I know are not political and don't follow current events much because they simply don't have the time. They're too busy working, and kicking ass in the real world to bother.1 point

What do I hate about the Liberals? . . . . What I like about the Liberals now is that they have polarized Canada and have brought the separation of the west to the forefront. I want to see Canada cleaved in half. I want to see the four western Provinces and northern territories as a separate country.1 point
